Houston folk and reggae artist Alex Addy has released his new album The American Dream, featuring the lead single title track. The album was written, recorded, and produced by Addy himself in his home studio over the last 4 years. “This record was written and recorded as I was realizing my own version of the American Dream,” explains Addy. “It is somewhat satirical and a musical documentation of my journey of the search for the American Dream.“
The album was picked up by Punkerton Records who have released it to all major streaming platforms.

Philadelphia rock band Loud Love has just dropped the official video for their single “Heavyweight”. “The lyrics for “Heavyweight” come from a very personal place,” explains bassist and vocalist Shannon Leeds. “I wrote these lyrics while 8 months pregnant after taking a walk near my home. I ran into a friend who didn’t think I’d be able to continue pursuing my passions with music. I channeled my frustration into these lyrics, hoping to get the point across that a woman shouldn’t be underestimated. Nothing will stand in our way if we are determined to succeed … especially if we pack a heavy punch!“
Once the song was finished, Loud Love knew they had something special on their hands. So guitarist and vocalist Vinny Marone edited the song to a highlight reel of professional wrestlers Thunder Rosa and Britt Baker, DMD. “I sent the edit to Thunder Rosa and, she loved it so much that we agreed that the song should be the OFFICIAL Theme Song of her independent wrestling promotion, Mission Pro Wrestling!” says Marone.
The track, which has gone on to win regional awards, was a perfect match for Mission Pro Wrestling. Shannon’s lyrics of women empowerment blended seamlessly with MPW’s creation as a space for women to be themselves in a safe, healthy, competitive environment in order to showcase their incredible talents. The cover of the single is graced by Thunder Rosa herself, as well as stars of MPW such as La Rosa Negra, Maddie Wrenkowski, Hollidead, Jennacide, and others.
For the video, Loud Love teamed up with R3 Stream, Inc at their amazing facility in Forked River, NJ, and brought along director Rob Shotwell to help put together an incredible music video. “The adrenaline-laced memories from that shoot will always be cherished by every one of us,” says the band. “The atmosphere on set was like being in the throes of a wild electrical storm, but at the same hyper-focused and professional as the entire staff and crew worked hard to film our video.” Recorded and mixed by Matt Weber at The Gradwell House Studios and mastered by Dave Downham, “Heavyweight” will be included on Loud Love’s upcoming EP, Survive Anything, due out on Jan 15th, 2022.

Their work has gained them notoriety in the indie music scene, scoring regional awards for categories like Best Music Video of 2020, Best Hard Rock Song of 2021 (Heavyweight), and Band of the Year of 2021.

Atlanta alternative rock band Fairshake has released their newest single, the emotionally driven modern rock anthem “High Risk”. The song was recorded and mixed by Jeremy Nichols (Dim) at SpaceJockey Sound, with percussion and production from Ben Cato (Dim, The Dangerous Summer).
“High Risk” is the first single from the High Risk LP, releasing in April 2022. “We have never written a record so fast, but never has there been so much catalyst in a short amount of time,” explains guitarist and vocalist Shayne Goss. “Most of this record was from a very broken, betrayed, angry & suicidal place. Coming to terms with a luckily failed suicide attempt, and realizing the healing that was ahead and how deserving I was of that love & healing.”
Fairshake has also released a video to go along with the single. The band worked with SLPWLKR out of Chicago. “They did an amazing job on bringing the cinematic and trippy vision of the storyline for the music video to life,” says Goss.
The message behind the video is based on a true story. A story that people who struggle with mental and emotional health will know all too well. “I was inspired to write the script with the symbolism of the Hanged Man in Tarot,” says Goss. “Anyone familiar with this divination modality understands that the Hanged Man isn’t a literal death, but a dead-end to a way of being/perceiving. I believe that we build a tower of a character we call our identity around traumas. So, what happens when our tower falls we finally have to face those deep fears?”

Fairshake; In this moment you are judgment-free of everyone, especially yourself to learn from past unpleasant experiences and surrender into your highest form. This never-ending journey with Shayne Goss since 2008 has been accompanied by many talented artists who have shared this vibration over the years.
Fairshake has experienced genre changes as the project has evolved, especially after inducting Tucker Harding and Chase Sammons in the fall of 2017. The project, coming from emotionally charged singer-songwriter roots with pop melodies, has grown very naturally into the alternative rock, punk, and dare we say “emo” music that we all grew up on and love.
“High Risk” is only the beginning of an excruciatingly beautiful story. This collection of songs is a perfect way to follow up the band’s previous EP, Sitcom (April 2020) featuring the Vocal premier of Lead Guitarist, Tucker Harding.
Chicago singer-songwriter Faith Amari has just released her newest album, Complex Butterfly. The mixtape album features 18 alternative R&B and Hip Hop tracks that showcase Faith’s skills not only as an accomplished vocalist but also as a songwriter and arranger. “Complex Butterfly represents my growth not only as a woman but my growth mentally, physically, and emotionally,” says Faith. “I went through a whole transformation throughout creating this project and it made me become the best version of myself and I couldn’t be any happier.“
Complex Butterfly was mixed and mastered by J Forrest and B CHILL MIX, and features the singles “BLK BOY” and “Looking Good“.”“Blk Boy” is a beautiful release of my repressed thoughts on street harassment,” Faith explains. “It provides therapy for not only me, but also other women of all different backgrounds who have been affected.“
Along with the single, Faith dropped a self-directed music video. ” “Blk Boy” was directed by me. I came up with all of the ideas and my father shot it. Emmanuel K. Jackson was a part of the video and he did an amazing job with portraying the guy who was catcalling the girls.”

With her second single, Faith switched the mirror from society to self. “I‘ve always been all about self-love. So when I wrote “Looking Good“, I wrote it to not only empower myself but also empower women all over the world. I wanted women to feel beautiful and confident.“
Along with her budding music career. Faith is also an entrepreneur, launching the beauty brand Krownique. “When I’m not doing music I’m always doing hair. So I wanted to use the “Looking Good” video to showcase that. It was very fun to edit; a little challenging, but I love challenging myself because it helps me grow. And I have to say that this is my most creative music video yet!“

Being heavily influenced by A Tribe Called Quest and The Fugees at 17 years old, Faith began rapping and wrote her debut mixtape Candor released on her 20th birthday, December 2nd, 2018. Faith wrote and produced her debut single Crown, which was released on November 1, 2019.

St Louis punk scene veteran Wes Hoffman has just released his latest single “For What It’s Worth”. The track is being released under the banner of Wes Hoffman & Friends and features Émilie Plamondon on vocals. “This song is about losing people in your life and having to carry on without them,” says Hoffman. “We had a great experience working once again with Gabe Usery at Encapsulated Studios and we’re thankful to have had Émilie Plamondon lend us her voice for the bridge and final chorus. It’s an emotional, energetic song and a blast to play live!”
“For What It’s Worth” is part of an ep entitled Rewrite The Story, due out in January. “Rewrite the Storywas written during a very transitional period in my life,” Hoffman explains. “It’s about letting go of what was, being at peace with what is, and looking forward to what will be. It’s all about believing that we all have the ability to rewrite our own story.”
Hoffman, who also runs a popular Instagram account and podcast that highlights the local scene in St. Louis, called 314 Punk, has released a video to go along with the single. “This is a mini-documentary about our first show back since taking a break because of the global pandemic. It was filmed and edited by Dane McCrary of All Day Photography. This perfectly encapsulates the spirit and energy of our band. We had so much fun making it and it gives you a glimpse of our relentless live-show energy!”

An active member of the St. Louis and Midwest punk scenes in the early 2000s, Wes Hoffman took a hiatus from music for several years before coming back into the fold.
In 2017, after a few musical collaborations with drummer Justin Unterseh, Wes decided he couldn’t keep the music bottled up anymore and began releasing songs again.
With a passion for punk beats, loud guitars, and a penchant for honest, emotional lyrics, Wes is back with his friends and ready to share his most meaningful songs in 2021.
The band looks forward to releasing an EP in early 2022. They also plan on playing a string of shows throughout the midwest and a few festivals in 2022.
Having relocated from Melbourne, Australia, and settled into an off-the-grid permaculture farm north of Auckland in homeland New Zealand – singer-songwriter Brian Baker has gotten busy setting up a new studio space and recording this new song “Everywhere You Go”. The song has a wonderfully laid-back and sincere sentiment with some excellent guitar work. It deals with separation, that while in these times often we can’t hold our loved ones or be in their physical presence, we hold them in our hearts and minds. “I left family in Melbourne to set up back home in New Zealand,” explains Brian. “This song is simply an expression of the accompanying emotions and I’m thinking that pretty much everyone can relate to those in some way or another.” Brian has also turned his crafty art skills to creating a simple lyric video with an organic vibe. Suitable for the song and from where it is – straight from the heart.

After writing and recording the top 20 single “Heart” with The Ones (released on Sony) he went on to co-write the score for the movie “Rikki and Pete” with Eddie Rayner from Split Enz/Crowded House. Legendary Long Island punk band Two Man Advantage is releasing a live vinyl album featuring two live performances, separated by 16 years! Side A captures a show live at the legendary punk venue CBGB in August of 2002., while Side B is live at the Punk Rock Bowling Festival in Las Vegas in May of 2018.
Released on Florida punk label DXPC Live, the album is pressed on 3-Stripe in Red, Black and White and features a special fold over cover, allowing people to choose the black and white cover that looks like an old V.M.Live cover, or reverse it and show the live photo cover.
For DXPC Live, the decision to release the live album was an easy one. “I had heard of 2MAN, but I had never seen them, so when this punk kid named Jizm asked me to book a show for 2MAN in Baltimore I didn’t quite know what to expect. 2MAN showed up, and I was honored that they did since they had been offered a chance to play the Hardcore Super Bowl in DC that same night with The Circle Jerks, Suicidal Tendencies, and many, many, many more. They turned down the offer because they felt they owed it to me. What followed was a beer-fueled, cheesecake-covered, sweaty mess of some of the best punk rock I’ve ever seen!”
To promote the release, Two Man Advantage has released a live video of “Zamboni Driving Maniac”, a single about a drunken Zamboni driver that landed the band in hot water upon its release. “The Zamboni company genuinely hates the song. When the studio version came out Zamboni looked into suing 2MAN.” says the band. Indeed, a Los Angeles Times article quoted a spokeswoman for the company as saying:
” “We’re taking a look at that with our trademark attorney”. Part of the company’s concern, Jensen said, is whether the song “implies an unsafe activity.” Part of what is upsetting the Zamboni Co. is the fact that the song has been played in hockey arenas all over North America.”
The video was made by No Vacancy Media by compiling a montage of video footage found online. You can watch the video below:
Together for more than 20 years, Two Man Advantage is the world’s premier hockey punk band. Known widely for their explosive live performances, the band has been featured in some of the country’s most high-profile media outlets: The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times, ESPN, and their music has been played in numerous NHL arenas. Through it all, they remain true to their underground roots and continue to play dive bars, DIY spots, and punk houses across the country in support of their numerous full-length LPs and other releases. The album is available for pre-order now at DXPCLIVE.com.
Pittsburgh, PA based pop-rock singer-songwriter Sonny Boy has just dropped his debut single “The Homecoming“. The song rocks like The 1975 and features a great video, which you can watch below:
“The video was a blast to film. It was filmed “run and gun” style, partially in my childhood hometown and due to the nature of it, we garnered a lot of curious stares and a lot of positive reactions. A lot of passers by even agreed to be in the video.” says Sonny Boy, who keeps his own name off of all promotional materials. You see, Sonny Boy is hoping you can’t tell how nervous he is. After too many years of trying to seem cool, he’s decided it’s not for him, and is embracing the idea of making music of a much more sincere and personal nature. His inaugural album “The Homecoming” is just that; Effectively serving as a concept album of his life and experiences so far. Being arguably more therapeutic than it is exhibitory “The Homecoming” serves as not only an example of music as entertainment, but also as a means of survival. Characterized by playful melodies, pounding drums and introspective lyrics, Sonny Boy attempts to capture in his music the beautifully awkward and tragically humorous process of living; Coping with the past and fearing the future, all the while hoping it’ll all turn out okay.
It’s been a great year for heavy emotional music with a throwback sound, and Virginia’s Emerge Restless have just added an album of the year contender to the genre.
The band released Ursus Maritimus on Sonic Decoy Records this week. The stand out track is “Bethel, Believe“. “This is our first full length, after a long hiatus from writing together,” says the band, “While we’re all more mature and more polished, we didn’t want to “go soft” and instead we pulled all the punches. We wanted the opening track to slap like an anthem; to announce to the world “we’re back and we still hit hard.”“
Check out evertything the band is doing on their socials and make sure to follow along, you may just be finding your favort new post hardcore band!
Hailing from Torbay, England, pop-punk band Surviving December has just dropped their newest single, the rock tinged pop-punk track “Falling Apart”. Lyrically, the song is a snapshot of the world today. “It’s a song that encourages people to look in the mirror and realize you can walk away from the crowd, to not be part of the issue,” explains the band. “Falling Apart” was the first track Surviving December worked on as the world started back up from the global pandemic. “It was because of how proud we were of the sound and the whole production we decided to push on and produce an album,” said the band. Of course, lockdown provided its own set of hurdles. “The song was a massive learning curve, recorded in our respective houses across the country we built up the track and sent it to our producer who knocked it all together.”
The track is part of the new album The Narrative, out now on Regent Street Records. It was Produced by Josh Norton-Cox and follows a character through a stage of their life. Musically, the album pulls together various styles of playing, with a pop-punk edge with guitar lines reminiscent of the late 70’s early 80’s with a darker more modern undertone.
“Falling Apart” is accompanied by a lyric video, which you can watch below.
Surviving December transports the listener back to a simpler time with their eclectic musical mix of pop-punk-rock. The band’s roots reach back to 2005 when brothers Mark and Jason Hobbs first started writing music in a dingy Devon basement alongside Chris Golden and Josh Norton-Cox. Fast forward 15 years to 2020, and Mark, Jason, and Chris found themselves rekindling their partnership during the strange era of Covid-19.
Now joined by Gemma Patten, Tom Crossman, and Ryan Wighton, and with original member Josh returning as producer, this unique six-piece line-up has fused their refined musicianship, while staying true to their founding influences of Blink 182, The Ataris, Senses Fail, and New Found Glory. The result is a vintage and truly authentic sound, given a contemporary twist by their trio of vocalists.
Hailing from Massillon, Ohio, hip-hop artist Master Puff has just dropped his latest single, “Playing Rich”. The track, produced by LANCEXCV, mixed & mastered by Conz, features Puff’s lyrical acrobatics over a chill flute loop and sparse percussion. A video is in the works.
Lyrically, Puff speaks on the ills of stunting without means. “I saw an artist I used to look up to go broke from a gambling addiction,” explains Master Puff. “Even after losing his savings, he still tried to live the extravagant life he grew accustomed to. All I saw was somebody trying to play rich instead of holding themselves accountable. Like Marshawn Lynch once said, “Take care of your chickens“.“
Master Puff is a linguistic gymnast, or “A rapper on a balance beam” as he puts it. Teetering between charmingly witty and over-the-top, he has been one of the fastest-growing artists in NE Ohio since early 2020. He secured a sponsorship with Acathla Clothing in March of 2021, due to his rapidly growing fanbase, before releasing any music on streaming services! Master Puff is an example to follow for any artists on the come-up, and also one to watch out for.

London, UK alternative indie rock band Emma and the Fragments have released their latest single, “Proper Everything”. The song starts off with a driving backbeat intro before cranking down into a jazzy riff for the verses, making a great music bed for Emma’s crystal clear vocals. The track is tied together by a strong, feel-good hook, ready for alternative radio!
Lyrically, the song was inspired by Victoria Park in London. “The title of the song came first, a made-up phrase said by Emma at a rehearsal to describe something that was the best,” explains the band. “The song was inspired by Victoria Park and uses the imagery of the park to describe falling in love. The lyric ‘Smile Til It Hurts’ was taken from the track and has been used for a title for the upcoming EP.”
“Proper Everything” is It is the 4th single from the forthcoming EP ‘Smile ‘Til It Hurts’. The EP will be released with one additional track this Fall.
Along with the single, the band has also released a fun animated music video. “We basically created cartoon versions of ourselves playing live in the park,” says the band. “Which we think fits with the fun energy of the track!”
Seattle alternative pop-punk band College Radio has just released their newest single, “11:59”. The track has an over-distorted, bouncy pop-punk feel reminiscent of 2000’s pop-punk along the lines of Green Day, with a walking bass line and a sarcastic chorus about “feeling fine” during the chaos of the current world.
Lyrically, the song is about the band’s feelings on last year’s lockdown. “This was one of the first tracks we recorded during the pandemic and it really showcases how we felt and how the world really felt,” explains the band. “Singing this one is our bass player Evan. He really hit the nail on what 2020 was like for pretty much all of us.”
“11:59” was engineered by Dane Stafford and mixed and mastered by John Espy. Along with the track, College Radio has also released a new music video. “This makes it the third video shot in our bass players house!”, says the band. “It was shot by our great friend King Zabb and we got wild in this one!” You can watch the video below:
Hailing from the Gloomy Emerald City of Seattle, College Radio have made a name for themselves with catchy choruses, hard-charging drums, and soaring harmonies. Chicago based, Progressive Instrumental Rock band COYOTE MAN has released a psychedelic inspired visualizer for their new single, “Reaches of the Universe.” Created by Chuck Clybourne from Sacred Ape Designs utilizing the EP cover art by Craig Horky, “Reaches of the Universe” is the trio’s savage, guitar driven first track off of their newly released EP, Relics.
“‘Reaches of the Universe” is our heaviest track to date. We jammed parts of it just for fun but never really sat down and incorporated them into songs. During COVID last year, we had an opportunity to dissect whatever riffs and drum fills we had and decided to go back to our roots with heavier tones.” – COYOTE MAN
Track List: 1. Reaches of the Universe 2. Foreseeable 3. Past Visions of the Future
JEFFREY NOTHING, former vocalist of industrial metal band MUSHROOMHEAD, has released the official music video for his newest single, “The Outage.” Directed by Ian D. Sniesak and edited and shot by Jon Conner of A Hole in the Head Productions, with assisted videography by Thomas Church and Aj Taranto, the dark music saga features former members of MOTOGRATER and SKIN alongside the legendary front-man as well as former MUSHROOMHEAD guitarist, Thomas Church.
“We all come with an expiration date. From our first breath, till our last, we are a miracle in motion; full of emotion, fears, and an air of invincibility. How we treat our fellow man and our life matters. Other than love, you sincerely can’t take it with you. Above is a place I pray to one day be, not a circle I put myself in as I traverse this lifetime. Freedom means everything. All complexes aside, we have no owners. Dream big and share your soul… I, for one, will be listening. So many trash their bodies and minds and feel they just get to wake up from whatever mistake they just made no matter what. It is so heartbreaking to watch a generation be wiped out because they truly believe they are invincible. We are not. Risking oneself for that ever-elusive first high destroys far more than the singular self. Parents never want to outlive their children. You are not that invincible person who will beat any challenge, just because. Stop for one second and be that miracle baby again. Not the almost adult who crushed everyone’s dreams, all because you wanted to escape a temporary nightmare. Death is the end, not a new beginning. Ever.” – Jeffrey Nothing
“Life is full of hardships, challenges, tribulations… It can be difficult in the moments of pain to see through to the other side, that there’s a way to come out victorious. It can be easy to compromise or give in to something that offers a moment of relief; a temporary solution to a problem that might turn into a permanent consequence. It can be easy to think that you will remain in control but more often than not what we think we control ends up controlling us. Pain and trauma are the real gateway drugs and until we learn to face the pain and overcome we will continue the cycle of abuse, be it substance or other. If we don’t, addiction ends up being in control. It destroys what’s beautiful, and then dances and parades what remains around for all the world to see. It can be easy to become ensnared in the prisons of our mind. If we take a close look at ourselves in the midst of our addiction, it can seem as if we are suffocating, wrapped in the fake plastic of the lies we believe that have now led us to the predicament we are in.
Acknowledging there is a problem is the first step. Then we must fight, for our freedom and for our lives, one day at a time.” – Ian D Sniesak (Vocals)
Jeffrey Nothing is the co-founder and former haunting voice behind Cleveland’s MUSHROOMHEAD. His distinct vocals had driven Mushroomhead’s frightening and extreme performance style, garnered them an enormously devoted cult following, and helped them to sell millions of albums worldwide. Nothing has teamed up with fellow former MUSHROOMHEAD guitarist Thomas Church following their departure from the band in March of 2018. The group also features former MOTOGRATER and THE BROWNING drummer Noah “Shark” Robertson, vocalist Ian D. Sniesak, and bassist Steven Adams.
Mobile, AL based Heavy Rockers LOVE THE HATE has released their brutal new single, “Solid Ground.” With a dark, modern music video directed and filmed by Thomas Crane of KillDevil Films (Saliva, Todd La Torre [Queensryche], Eve to Adam), “Solid Ground” has quickly dominated local and international radio, bringing the quintet’s unique brand of dark, heavy riffs and infectious melodies to an audience starved for honest rock music.
The band’s 6/22/2021 released music video for “Solid Ground” was filmed in an historic Mobile mansion known as the “Outlaw Mansion,” which inexplicably burned down shortly after. Often referred to as “Alabama’s Most Haunted House,” the sprawling property was once an opulent mansion–one of Alabama’s finest examples of Spanish Colonial Revival architecture–owned by the Outlaw family since 1925. Former Mobile Mayor Arthur Outlaw lived there until the mid-1980s.
“It played a big role in making the video so cool because it has all of the historical aspects of the house — the handcraftmanship on the house alone is remarkable. My dad was a frame carpenter, so I noticed everything like that. It was amazing for me to stand at the staircase of the house when we were shooting the video and be surrounded by that.” – Frank Killian – Love The Hate.
Mobile, AL based Heavy Rock band LOVE THE HATE has released the dark, modern official music video for their upcoming, brutal new single, “Solid Ground.” Directed and filmed by Thomas Crane of KillDevil Films (Saliva, Todd La Torre [Queensryche], Eve to Adam), “Solid Ground” features Kristi Craft and Billy Culbertson. The single will be available to purchase / stream on July 6, 2021.
“‘Solid Ground’ deals with the familiar feelings of heartbreak, loneliness, and uncertainty in moving on in the wake of a toxic relationship.” – Love The Hate
Legendary Hip Hop Pioneer DMC (RUN-D.M.C) has been featured on a new Society 1 track / video entitled “The Man,” the second collaboration for the band and music icon. With instrumentation written and performed by lead vocalist MATT ZANE and guest drumming by ZAC MORRIS (Ugly Kid Joe,Hed PE, Dorothy, September Mourning) “The Man” appears an unlikely collaboration due to Zane not being known publicly for his songwriting or guitar playing but, unknown to most, he is actually a graduate of MIT for guitar.
Since then Zane has written and licensed multiple songs for various outlets but took a substantial break the last few years to focus on his directing career. DMC and Zane met when the late Wayne Static introduced them, believing Zane would be a good fit for directing the music video and track “Noise Revolution,” which Wayne sang on. After directing the video, Zane was inspired by the collaboration but was overwhelmed with music video work which forced his musical aspirations to be neglected for years to come. After a conscious shift to re-focus on Zane’s band Society 1 he specifically had DMC in mind for a feature.
“Collaborating with DMC was an absolute dream come true. Before I knew about The Doors or Jimi Hendrix, RUN-DMC were my gods. My very first guitar lesson I showed up with a copy of ‘Raising Hell’ because my teacher asked me to bring in music of my favorite artists…I swear to you I almost cried when I heard his iconic voice over my music and playing for the first time. It was a religious experience. I put it at the same level as when I performed at The Download Festival suspended with my band Society 1 in front of 80,000 people.” – Matt Zane
“Lord Zane creates music that is insane! Powerful, energetic, fun, and captivating. He gave me that HARD hitting riff ROCKING sound that takes the King Of Rock to the next level! The beat and the guitars for the collaboration we did grabbed me in a headlock! The sound, arrangements and vibe is a force to be reckoned with! He has allowed me to continue to live my Rock N Roll dream. He’s “ the man” that’s why I called this song The Man…lol…the music dictated the title and vibe! This track definitely absolutely and completely ROCKS and Rolls!!! So move out the way!” – DMC
Introducing an alternative spiritual element to the Halloween season, Dark Rock artist SHARONE has released the visually compelling official music video for her empyreal new single, “Fade Away.” Directed by Kyle Lamar at Digital Myle, “Fade Away” is the second track off of the enigmatic artist’s upcoming LP, Morbid Illusion, due out 5/28/2021 via Devil Inside Records.
“Fade Away” is my empowerment anthem. It’s a reminder to myself and every other artist to never give up on our passion or vision. We doubt ourselves as artists all the time. I’ve been given every reason to quit music, but it flows through my veins, so you’ll never see me drown.
The music video shows a wounded warrior facing death after being tormented for a long time by an evil crow. She feels helpless and weak. Halfway through the video, a dark angel who has been watching over her, comes and leaves her a sword to reach for, along with a spell of strength. Towards the end of the video, the wounded warrior reaches for the sword, and is finally able to get back up and fight her battle.” – SHARONE
Sharone erupted onto the Denver music scene as a solo artist in 2014 playing local DIY venues; since then she has gone on to play venues such as Marquis Theater, Bluebird Theater, and Gothic Theater, playing festivals, and opening for bands such as One-Eyed-Doll, The Birthday Massacre, Fuel, Saving Abel, Davey Suicide, Tantric, Hell’s Belles, Stitched Up Heart, and Puddle Of Mudd. The atmospheric and melodramatic music of Evanescence and the psychedelic blues of Black Sabbath inspired Sharone to start performing her music live with a full rock band backing her. Despite sustaining a dark and melancholy tone on recordings, the gothic artist’s live shows are nothing short of energetic, full of heavy piano riffs, pulsing rhythms, and enthralling theatrics. From emerging from a coffin to jumping off of monitors and captivating contortions, Sharone captures the interest of each audience member through her piercing stage chemistry with her live musicians, and her ever-growing theatrics. In the spring of 2017, the singer left her mark on the Denver music scene with the release of her first rock album ‘Storm’. Following the release, dove deeper into her writing, and came back stronger than ever with the reincarnation of her dark sound: ‘Enchiridion of Nightmares’ (2018).
“Like a series of dark fairy tales, Enchiridion of Nightmares the new album from dark [rocker] Sharone, captivates, seduces, and haunts. Each of its notes, let alone songs, comes with a shadow to [her] beauty, melancholy to [her] light, and intimacy to [her] grandeur with it all colluding in an adventure which just steals the imagination from everyday reality. There is a rich cinematic and theatre-esque feel to Enchiridion of Nightmares which equally adds to its captivation; indeed its songs entwine an influence of horror movies, vintage and modern, into their personal nightmares. With just as richly layered and dramatic sounds to its exploration, the album is a persistent unveiling of new twists and shadows listen by listen. On our first meeting intrigue soaked the pleasure, through a couple more captivation, each subsequent listen leading to the inescapable bewitchment these words spring from.” –The Ringmaster Review
Sharone followed up the release with three exhilarating summer and fall tours, reaching audiences across the western, central, and eastern United States, and spent the remainder of 2019 recording her third studio album ‘Reflection’, which was released December 7th, 2019.
“[Sharone] showed that she was adept at harnessing the chaos on her previous couple of albums and she’s really turning the gothic-art-pop-rock up on her latest long-player. It’s packed with dark fairytales and swooping riffs as well as more theatrical invention that you’d find at the Royal Shakespeare Company.” – The Crack Magazine
In summary absolute female power, which reminds of Evanescence and Tarja Turunen. This talented singer makes you curious about her live performances!” – Stormbringer.at
Sharone really pushes out the emotions and passion she has for music with this album. It is full of fantastic piano chords and guitar riffs that really show off her band’s talent as a whole. I am excited to see what she releases in the future and will keep an eye out for it. In the Spring of 2020, Sharone signed with Devil Inside Records, and began working on her fourth studio album. The first single “Can We Pretend” was released July 24th, and has been the young rocker’s most successful release to date.
This unique rock artist is destined for success in the metal and goth rock realm. Look out for more new music from Sharone coming very soon.
After months of anticipation built upon the success of their debut single “Adrenaline”, Boston, MA active rock band ABOVE SNAKES are back with their new single “Never Alone”, alongside an animated visualizer.
Premiering with IDOBI RADIO, “‘Never Alone’ is about living a chaotic lifestyle,” says singer Johnny Skulls, “and just when you’re at your worst, that special force pulls you back into reality giving you a new lifeline” he continues, finishing his bottle of Crystal Head Vodka.
“When we were in the studio with Kile Odell (Fozzy, Through Fire), I knew we were on to something special,” chimes in Dabs
The band’s first music video for “Never Alone”, directed by Adrienne Beacco, is due out this November on Friday the 13th.
“Rise above, Never look backMiddle finger to the world, with a bottle of Jack“
After years of living in the filth among shady, ego driven Villains Johnny Skulls and Dax Dabs decided they weren’t going to take it anymore. It was the dawn of a new day. Following orders and getting in line was now a way of the past. They packed their bags and made their way back to Boston, destined to rise above and create their own future.
Just this July, the band released their debut single, “Adrenaline,” to over 45,000 views on YouTube, along with Spotify placements on Loudwire’s Weekly Wire, Hopeless Records’ Moshed Potatoes, and Pandora’s New Rock Now Playlist, to name a few.

Columbus, OH based Rock band SOUTH OF EDEN (formerly BLACK COFFEE) has released their debut single and music video, “Dancing With Fire.” The song’s official music video follows the band through months on the road including the band’s first label performance (look out for a cameo by LAVA’s own Jason Flom). It includes footage from South of Eden HQ in Columbus, OH and shows the band in their natural habitat.
“We wanted this to be a personality piece, and with all of us in quarantine we knew the best way to do that was to show what we have accomplished leading up to this release. John Payne, our media man, has been following us around for the last two years! The best thing to show with raw music is raw footage.” – SOUTH OF EDEN
Rip-roaring riffs abound on this incendiary and irresistible anthem. Helmed by GRAMMY® Award-winning producer GREG WELLS (ADELE,TWENTY ONE PILOTS, DEFTONES], hyper-charged guitars, and thunderous percussion collide with towering falsetto as the refrain soars to the heavens and back. Emerging with a scorching sound of their own, the boys siphon grunge melody into classic rock-style virtuosity with unapologetic attitude and a whole lot of grit.
“We knew we wanted our first release to showcase our personalities, both in the music and visual. ‘Dancing With Fire’ is just that; personality. It’s a song about conflict, and to us that conflict is being a bunch of twenty-two-year-olds attempting to make it as a rock band in unprecedented times. We’re excited to see how people interpret the song into their own lives.” – SOUTH OF EDEN
“A straight-up belter of a rock song… Fast, furious and buzzing with energy” – Louder
“band bringing back classic-rock back to the forefront.”- Guitar World
“Fast, furious, and buzzing with energy, it’s the shot of classic yet cool caffeine we all need…” – Classic Rock Magazine
“We’re a band that writes, records, and plays like the pioneers of rock before us. We aren’t looking to bring anything back, but instead to remind people what rock n roll means. No rules. This music represents what we believe is real, raw music. No click tracks and triggers or copy and paste bullshit. Just a bunch of hippies in a room.”
South of Eden (formerly Black Coffee) are: Ehab Omran [lead vocals, acoustic guitar], Justin Young [lead guitar, vocals], Tom McCullough [drums], and Nick Frantianne [bass]. The Columbus, OH quartet have already performed alongside everyone from the Foo Fighters to System Of A Down, and invite you to join them on their journey of looking at rock ‘n’ roll through a modern lens.
“We want to open up the doors for rock in the modern era,” exclaims Ehab. “We want to sound the way we hear rock in our heads—vintage with a sprinkle of today. We try to give listeners the feeling of discovering the genre for the first time. We think now is the moment to be a rock band.”
The band has already paid their dues to reach this point. Growing up in Columbus, OH the band formed by combining their passions and uniting over their love of music. Originally from the country of Jordan, Ehab primarily listened to the Arabic music his parents would play, in addition to superstars like Michael Jackson, Phil Collins, and James Brown. After coming to America, he was introduced to a wider range of music that inspired him: eighties and nineties rock including Guns N’ Roses and notably Queen. Just like Freddie Mercury’s parents, Ehab’s parents didn’t agree that a life in rock ‘n’ roll was the best thing for their son. However, as he met the rest of the band, his dream became a life affirming reality.
Ehab and Nick performed together in various bands (channeling Iron Maiden, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Alice In Chains) and eventually joined Justin and Tom who had been working on their own band (influenced by Van Halen and Black Sabbath). Justin, who was at the time attending Berklee College of Music, describes first writing with Ehab and noted “The first jam was crazy. He came over with Tom and just listened for a while. We had the riffs to songs, and he just immediately started singing. Here I had gone to music college to find people I could mesh with stylistically, only to come back home and find that my best friend and a singer that I had already known about were all I needed!”
This newfound discovery lead to a fast-paced evolution. As Tom noted, “We didn’t have a bass player, bass amp or a bass! Ehab wrote most of the bass lines on guitar and we grooved so well. We were a band for like a week before we had booked our first show two weeks out. We ended up borrowing equipment and we became a band.” As they continued to tour, they crossed paths and shared bills with Puddle of Mudd, Red Sun Rising and recently graced the main stage of Sonic Temple and Epicenter in 2019. That very same year Jason Flom caught wind of the band and signed them to Lava Records.
When it came to recording, they honor the methods of those who come before them and “tape in a vintage way, with no click track, pitch correction, copy-paste, or any of that nonsense.”
The musicians headed to Los Angeles to record with legendary GRAMMY® Award-winning producer Greg Wells [Adele Twenty One Pilots, Deftones]. “When I first heard the band, it had its own original identity,” explains Greg. “That was something I had waited years to find. I emailed them back saying, ‘I want to be your Mutt Lang’.”
Ehab notes “It’s a mixture of a lot of things. We’re ‘classically rock’ influenced, but listen to so many different genres and eras that there are a lot of different feelings in our music.”
On the lead single Ehab describes “We knew we wanted our first release to showcase our personalities, both in the music and the visual. “‘Dancing With Fire’ is just that; personality. It’s a song about conflict, and to us that conflict is being a bunch of twenty-two-year-olds attempting to make it as a rock band in unprecedented times. We’re excited to see how people interpret the song into their own lives.”
“When you hear us, I want you to walk away thinking, ‘That was honest and different’,” Ehab leaves off. “We’re just doing what we do. We’re proof you can do anything you want and shouldn’t compromise your dreams.”
LA based Electronic Industrial Rock artist BLUE EYED CHRIST has released a new music video for “Massive React,” off of his new album World on Fire Created by JIM MARCUS (GO FIGHT, DIE WARZAU), “Massive React” was originally premiered on taste-making website mxdwn.
“‘Massive React’ mixes a slick synth groove with processed guitars while tackling the effects that corporate greed, technology, and personal responsibility play within the world. It was great having Jim Marcus (Go Fight, Die Warzau) on board to direct the video since we have a musical history reaching back to the 90s.” John D. Norten
World on Fire is BEC’s 5th studio album and first in 6 years, coming after the release of the 2018 Trash Deity album Cross & Divide with Groovie Mann (My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult). The 11 track assault of World on Fire finds the Chicago born artist returning to his WAX TRAX! influences, juxtaposing raw EBM/Industrial elements with modern production and real world themes. “Blue Eyed Christ’s lyrics often lend themselves to various interpretations. Upon reviewing the song, I was struck by the multiple directions his words could be decoded into themes relevant throughout past, present and future. I started to researching old government PSA’s, self-promoting manufacturing films & proto-infomercials throughout history in order to locate slices of “civilized” culture which could be utilized for illustrating the various concepts suggested within the lyrics of this song. People dance around their possessions, celebrating their ability to consume while governments utilize the same raw materials to build machines of surveillance & war.
Now with the advent of cell phone cameras, social media, internet spambots, propaganda farms & the increasing ease of access to such tools (and the resulting misinformation being generated and digested on a minute-by-minute basis), society sails further and faster into this hall of mirrors – gleefully making images of our lives to convince each other that opinions are more valuable than truth, feelings more important than fact, that we’re all doing just fine/not-fine, civilization is ticking along nicely/not-nicely – reveling in shortsighted, personal agendas… while outside, the world burns. “
Blue Eyed Christ is the Electronic Industrial Rock project of established Producer/Engineer John D. Norten. John has worked with many of the biggest artists in music helping them achieve their visions (Prince, Fergie, Lady Gaga, Dr. Dre).
In contrast, Blue Eyed Christ is 100% John’s artistic vision in the studio. That vision is the visceral combination of heavy electronic industrial rock mixed with personal lyrics and just the right balance of hooks and noise. Blue Eyed Christ is the combination of John’s experimental Chicago Trax background mixed with the pop and polished sheen he brings to other Artists. In 1991, while still in his teens, Chicago’s John D. Norten signed his first international recording contract under the band name Blue Eyed Christ to famed Belgian EBM label KK Records. The first Album, Leaders + Followers, was released that same year. Blue Eyed Christ still enjoys a loyal following today and Leaders +Followers is considered an EBM classic.
In 1995 John recorded the second Blue Eyed Christ Album, Crash, while working at Chicago Trax Recording Studios. At the same time he assembled an intense live band that helped further create a buzz throughout the music industry.
2002 saw the release of the third Blue Eyed Christ album, American Whore, with a new Los Angeles Live band taking on the underground club circuit.
With a new studio savvy, 2014 saw the release of A Rush and a Thrill, a whirlwind ride straight into the world of Blue Eyed Christ. Eric Zimmerman (Soundgarden, Nine Inch Nails, Ministry) directed the decadent “Freakshow” concept video short recorded on Halloween of that year.
A chance meeting at an art event in 2015 led to the formation of Trash Deity with Groovie Man (My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult). Metropolis Records caught wind and released the debut Trash Deity Album, Cross & Divide, Sept 2018.
Energized by the current chaos and state of the world, John is releasing the first Blue Eyed Christ Album in 6 years, World on Fire.
“World on Fire combines the energy and political anthems on my first album mixed with the personal themes I’m also known for. It’s time to get this message out there again and that message is loud and angry. My songwriting and production has never been better”
New Delhi based Indian Metal Band BLOODYWOOD has released the official music video for their newest single, “Yaad.” Shot in between the snow-capped mountains of the Himalayas and urban India, the music video celebrates the universal human experience of love and loss through a moving story between a man and his companion dog.
“’Yaad’ (Hindi for ‘remember’ or ‘in memory’) is about the power of accepting the loss of a loved one and moving on. The lyrics celebrate the permanent impact they have on us, reiterating the belief that we carry them in our best memories, no matter how far apart we may be, says Karan Katiyar, Bloodywood’s Founder/guitarist, “I lost my dog 10 years ago and I still feel the loss to this day. I wanted the video to show the bond between a man and his dog to highlight its message.”
In spirit of the message within the song and video, Bloodywood funded the purchase of an animal ambulance for a local non-profit animal shelter called The Posh Foundation, who had to recently scrap their existing ambulance due to overuse and break-downs and were in dire need of a new one.
The new ambulance, which will help save the lives of over 27,000 homeless animals in the National Capital Region of India over the next 5 years, was purchased by the band using the profits made on their very successful 2019 debut tour of Europe named Raj Against the Machine Tour and through their crowdfunding page on Patreon.
Bloodywood were scheduled to make their US debut at the Sonic Temple Festival which has been cancelled due to the CoronaVirus. Karan adds, “We had the US tour planned and we have dates in Europe in August, We are very sad we didn’t get to play for our American fans, and hope our August European festival dates don’t get cancelled. No matter what happens in 2020 we will be back in 2021”
The European Festival Dates:
07/08 @ Bloodstock Festival – Derby, UK
08/09 @ Alcatraz Festival (Swamp Stage) – Kortrijk, BE
08/14 @ Reload Festival – Sulingen, DE
08/15 @ Summer Breeze Open Air – Dinkelsbühl, DE
Bloodywood is a metal band from India known for pioneering a sound that seamlessly fuses Indian folk instruments with metal to devastating effect. Expect to hear the percussive power of the mighty Dhol, the melancholic flute, the single stringed Tumbi and several other uncommon, yet distinctly characteristic sounds from India. A combination of thunderous Hindi/Punjabi choruses and meaningful yet unforgiving rap verses along with the ethnic instrumentation makes Bloodywood a truly unique experience.
Multi-genre artist Justin ‡ Symbol has released the official music video for “Trash Fire (ft. VoKillz & Angel Nightmare)”. Directed & Shot by Ricky Rubinson, “Trash Fire” is off of the artist’s new album, Candy Man.
“On this album, I threw the rule book aside of what people think I am supposed to be. I took trap, metal, goth/industrial, witch house, and techno and threw it in a blender. All of my influences are present, and I am creating the album I would most want to hear. ‘Candy Man’ is the soundtrack to my version of the Apocalypse: it’s colorful, it’s sexual, it’s psychedelic, it’s dark and it’s fun at the same time. Why should the end of the world be boring?”

Southern California based Metal Band SANGRE has released the official music video for “Death March,” off of their upcoming album, Mas Fuerte Que La Muerte (Stronger Than Death), due out 12/13/2019. Shot at Fuel Music Studios in Fullerton, CA, the video for “Death March” features the band members experiencing different types of stresses from overdue bills, depression, work related issues, eviction, alcohol abuse, and suicidal thoughts.
“‘Death March,’ lyrically, touches on the current situation of ‘living wages’ vs ‘cost of living,’ focusing on the stress, depression, and neglect of personal health and family while just trying to survive in this high demand world. The phenomenon is an actual epidemic in Japan known as ‘Karoshi’ or ‘overworking to survive,’ which in many cases results in suicides or fatigue leading to death.” – Henry Sanchez (Vocals)
SANGRE have long since made their mark on California’s Metal Scene & beyond.
With over 15 years on the musical frontlines this band has come to learn that longevity requires the commitment, unmatched work ethic, creative energy, and unshakable determination that is central to their ethos.
SANGRE has toured extensively throughout the United States & Mexico, and most recently made their UK debut performing @ Bloodstock Open Air Festival 2018 in Derbyshire, England.
Over the years the band’s undeniable hard work and outstanding performances earned them slots at the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival in 2010 & 2012, followed by the 2013 Jagermeister Music U.S. Tour as direct support to one of Latin America’s biggest bands, Molotov.
In 2015 Sangre was selected by their sponsor, Jägermeister to perform at “Welcome To Rockville” music festival in Jacksonville, Florida.
With a diverse sound and influences from across the spectrum of Heavy Metal, Sangre can and has opened for some of the biggest names in the genre such as, Slayer, Slipknot, Korn, Marilyn Manson, In Flames, Ministry, Motorhead, Anthrax, Sepultura, Soilwork, Soulfly, Killswitch Engage, Lamb Of God, Carcass, Suffocation, Gojira, Brujeria, Chimaira, Suicidal Tendencies, Hatebreed, The Black Dahlia Murder, Six Feet Under, Suicide Silence, Whitechapel, and many more!
The name they’ve created via years of Perseverance and a DIY attitude has caught the attention of many people in the music industry, one of those being, Metal ambassador Jose Mangin (Sirius XM Liquid Metal DJ & Headbangers Ball host) who to this day plays SANGRE on his satellite radio shows and even joined the band on stage to perform their cover of the Brujeria classic, “Matando Gueros”.
Speaking of Brujeria, that band has taken Sangre out on tour a few times over the years and in 2014 invited Sangre vocalist, Henry Sanchez to join them as their second vocalist. Henry would take on the stage name “El Sangron” and has played over 200 shows on 5 continents with the band since his inception.
SANGRE spent 2019 touring with Brujeria, with Sanchez performing in both, opening with Sangre and closing the shows with Brujeria, throughout Europe and the UK.
Put simply, SANGRE eats, sleeps, sweats, and bleeds Heavy Metal! This band represents the musical equivalent of an unstoppable juggernaut careering through any, every, and all obstacles that the road would cast in its way.
With an all consuming hunger to succeed in getting their music to the masses and band to the top of the industry, SANGRE is here, Pay close attention.
Dispositions started out in 2015 as an internet project by guitarist, Ethan Massey. Soon after finding band members, Dispositions entered the studio to record their debut EP, Dead Era, which released in January 2017.
Dispositions then began playing local shows around the Dallas/Fort Worth area. They then hit the studio in late 2017 to record with producer, Cory Brunnemann in San Antonio, TX to record two singles, one being a Linkin Park cover called “QWERTY” and the other called “Imitator,” which Dispo shot a music video for.
With the momentum of those singles Dispo started playing shows and going on runs with bands such as DevilDriver, Jinjer, Upon a Burning Body, Bury Your Dead, Drowning Pool, Attila and MANY more!
Adding a second guitarist in the mix in 2018, Dispo hit the studio again with Cory to record two more songs later that year, “Pitiful” and “For You.”

Pulling together a complex array of influences including Nine Inch Nails, Muse, The Cure, Tool, The Prodigy, Ministry, Radiohead, U2, Vivaldi, Alice in Chains, Guns N’ Roses and more, A Primitive Evolution’s rhythm-based attack blurs the lines of rock, electronica and all aspects between.
“Creation is evolution” observes A.P.E. singer Brett Carruthers, “that’s what I figure we’re trying to say with A Primitive Evolution. As evolved as we think we are as humans or animals, we are very much at the beginning of the evolution of mankind. We have so much to learn and yet so much has changed in the last hundred years. We have a long way to go as a species. We want our band to reflect that too, showing our raw emotions, doing it out of instinct and evolving naturally; not overthinking, just having some fun existing on this planet.”

“From the first time we demoed out ‘Give Me A Reason’ we knew that it was going to be a special one. Instrumentally that song just had a way of capturing your attention and we wanted to make sure that we put vocals to match. The song is about an having an addiction and needing to separate yourself from that. That could be anything from drinking, drugs, gambling, video games….you name it. This is our first “lighter” single off the album so it gives everyone a taste of the variety that’s going to be on this album. There is a song on ‘Continuous’ for everyone. VERSUS ME, from Janesville, Wisconsin is a band for today’s subcultural and mainstream pop crowds alike. They have crafted a sophomore album featuring the type of crowd-ready anthems heard in stadiums on the One Direction/5 Seconds Of Summer world tour, while simultaneously harnessing the heaviness and earnest delivery found each year on the Warped Tour’s main stage and in the pages of Alternative Press, Rocksound, Kerrang!
Even as Versus Me take aim for mainstream chart success, arena headlining shows and the attention of the diehard fans who drive the underground scene, the band’s number one goal remains simple. Versus Me wants nothing less than positivity, communication and connection with their audience. They want to show that their music, and all good music, can help people with life toughest trials and hardships. Versus Me yearn to connect with every person they can, whether to talk about music, or to learn about where people are coming from and who they are.
Packing an arsenal of melodies, hooks, breakdowns, electro fueled bounce and deep grooves, Versus Me’s message of uplifting goodwill is about to make itself heard loud and proud – from the stage, from cars, speakers, headphones and anywhere possible.
Christian Hard Rock Band STRENGTH BETRAYED has released the official music video for their new single, “War Torn,” the title track off of their upcoming EP, due out 9/28/2019.
“The word ‘War-Torn’ evokes images of battle and ruin. Of bloodshed and death. The word also evokes the human element of emotion, brother against brother, human against human. With an album that hopes to catch your attention and keep you enjoying the ride, War-torn reminds us all that not all battles involve physical combat.” – STRENGTH BETRAYED
Strength Betrayed was formed 2014 with band members Taylor (Drummer), Jacob (Lead Guitar), Seth (Bassist), and Thomas (Vocals, Rhythm Guitar). Strength Betrayed is a Christian Rock band that believes in sharing the love of Jesus, but also being honest about the message we deliver. The name “Strength Betrayed” comes from the biblical story of Sampson and serves as a reminder to the band that the strengths that are given to us can betray us if we allow our strengths to go to our heads, consume our lives, destroy the lives of others through inflated egos and self-importance.
The mission of Strength Betrayed is to provide heavy, high energy and meaningful music to those who would listen, to reach out to all people from all walks of life, to provide hope for the hurting and to let them know that they are not alone in their struggles. Each of us have a past. Each of us hurt. Each of us make mistakes. But each of us were made to be more. We are not our struggles. We are not our sins. We have weaknesses and strengths. We are Strength Betrayed.
