Emerge Restless Bring The Heavy Post-Hardcore Sound Back On New Album

It’s been a great year for heavy emotional music with a throwback sound, and Virginia’s Emerge Restless have just added an album of the year contender to the genre.

The band released Ursus Maritimus on Sonic Decoy Records this week. The stand out track is “Bethel, Believe“. “This is our first full length, after a long hiatus from writing together,” says the band, “While we’re all more mature and more polished, we didn’t want to “go soft” and instead we pulled all the punches. We wanted the opening track to slap like an anthem; to announce to the world “we’re back and we still hit hard.”

Check out evertything the band is doing on their socials and make sure to follow along, you may just be finding your favort new post hardcore band!

SENSELESS BEAUTY to Release The Belonging Endeavor April 16th on Standby Records

In a world and industry that is ever changing, there is something to be said for surviving and never giving up – and that is exactly what Iowa based, melodic post-hardcore outfit, SENSELESS BEAUTY has done since their formation in late 2005.

They have the mileage and the scars to prove it; they’re again preparing to hit the road to unleash their newest material. After years of honing their craft locally, regionally, and several nationwide tours with bands like; Burden of a Day (Rise), Remove the Veil (Facedown) and Brian “Head” Welch (formerly of Korn), the boys from Iowa are fully road tested and ready for more.

Fueled by a talented and motivated lineup and managed by Damon Moreno and The Inner Light Agency,SENSELESS BEAUTY is driven by their message of faith and hope.  Their passion can be witnessed in their energetic and dominating live show. “These guys mean business both on and off stage; it’s been nonstop push no matter the obstacles, we have not let off the gas and the reception simply continues to strengthen for the band and now having teamed with Neil and the Standby Records family, we just see this New Year as more fertile ground” says Moreno.

The band is ready to release their third full-length album and Standby Records debut with their upcoming release The Belonging Endeavor, which is set to drop April 16th. The term, The Belonging Endeavor alludes to the struggle and journey of finding one’s place and meaning in life.  One listen to this record and you will hear the unrelenting passion, honesty, and truth expressed through their writing.

It is safe to say that this is just the beginning of things to come from these guys and that 2013 has much in store for SENSELESS BEAUTY.  With their current lineup, fire, and new label you can be assured that the band is showing no signs of slowing any time soon!

LIONS LIONS to Release Digital EP on December 4, 2012

With the release of their stunning album To Carve Our Names earlier this year, LIONS LIONS has been favored by many as the band conveys a distinct, yet familiar post-hardcore sound, reminiscent of early Story Of The Year, Thrice and The Used. “Boston’s Lions Lions might just be the band to wake up the post-hardcore/screamo genre,” exclaims GetExposedMusic.com. To cap off a great year, LIONS LIONS will release a digital EP titled Grounded on December 4, 2012 via Century Media Records.

The EP will be available for purchase through all major digital outlets, and features the track “Grounded” off of the album To Carve Our Names, in addition to a previously unreleased acoustic version of “The Right Steps.” The iTunes release will also include a download of the “Milestones” music video:

INHALE EXHALE Debut Video for ‘Low’

Post-hardcore heroes INHALE EXHALE are debuting their new video for “Low” today exclusively at Metal Injection. A ferocious performance clip with a frozen tundra serving as the stage, the video is the first from the band’s fourth album, Movement, released earlier this month on Red Cord Records.

“We picked ‘Low’ for first video because thematically it centered around the album title, about making choices and moving forward,” explains guitarist John LaRussa. “It’s not the heaviest song on the album, but we thought it hit hard and we loved the chorus on it.”

Watch “Low” now at Metal Injection:

“The shooting process was pretty extreme,” LaRussa adds. “It was 11 hours of getting blasted with snow. It was centered a lot on performance and we definitely all felt it after the shoot.”

With Movement now in stores, the Cleveland rocker’s are wrapping a three-week tour of Europe, having stopped in Germany, Austria, Poland, Netherlands, the Ukraine and more along the way.

Self-produced by LaRussa at his own Revelry Recording, Movement is a study in controlled chaos. The volatile, melody-driven anthems carry the weight of seasoned survivors who persevere come what may. It’s easily INHALE EXHALE’s most aggressive work to date – a fact only underscored by ferocity of their previous albums. On Movement, they push the envelope on all fronts while staying true to their hearts, their fans and their roots.

Following three successful albums with longtime label Solid State Records, INHALE EXHALE have become a fixture in the hardcore and metal community – setting a high bar from day one. Now, six years and four albums in, the band has seen and done it all – surviving through gimmicks and fads that have moved in and out of heavy music and learning from them to stay true to themselves. With Movement, INHALE EXHALE prove they’ve lost none of their fire and prove that today’s up-and-comers still have a lot of work to do.

Modern Day Escape Puts Pittsburgh Under the Gun

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Revolver Magazine described them as, “an irresistibly catchy fusion of Sunset Strip style hard rock and galvanic screamo. Alternative Press calls them “irresistible” and Outburn Magazine calls them “a real winner”. We here at Pittsburgh Music Magazine had the first chance to catch them live in Pittsburgh at The Ironworks while on tour with Affiance, Deception of a Ghost, and Picture Me Broken. Formed in Orlando, FL in the summer of 2006 MDE has been toughing it out on the road and impressing audiences for a long time now and are touring in support of their latest effort, ‘Under the Gun’ that sees them taking a more melodic approach to their previous work. Certainly there is an improvement in Vegas’ lyrics that focus more on introspective events of his past than the previous “party” content. We must also say that former Black Veil Brides drummer Sandra Alva is a welcome addition and one hell of a drummer.
One of our most loyal followers (and a secret source for keeping us cool) is Melisa, who turned us on to MDE. PMM is thankful she did. With a stellar performance that floored the Pittsburgh crowd, Modern Day Escape made an indelible mark on the Steel City. Due to a massive delay on their way to the ‘Burgh, MDE was unable to sit down for an interview pre-show. But, we hung out with singer James Vegas for sometime after their set and we can’t say enough about what a great guy he truly is and we had a tremendous time getting to know him. Very humble, very gracious, very cool. James took time to talk to all our supporters and signed their pants, posters, and took pictures with all happily.
As of this writing MDE is unfortunately stuck in Fredricksburg, VA with a bum transmission (and silly you thought the road was all glory) and getting ready to tear up the West of the U.S. on their way back home to L.A. Check out the video below and you can order their new CD and merch here.
