The Welsh pop-punk band, Neck Deep, sold out Mr. Smalls Theatre Thursday in Pittsburgh. The Peace and the Panic tour packed the audience shoulder to shoulder, as the band took their listeners on an auditory journey of their progression as a band. Playing music from their first song ever written, to their newest album, Mr. Small’s crowd was constantly singing and crowd surfing.
Vocalist, Ben Barlow, spoke about the meaning behind some of the songs that he wrote. From how his parents met, to the recent death about his father, Barlow made it evident that these songs were not only music therapy for him, but for his listeners as well. Barlow emphasized the importance of letting music mean whatever you’d like it to.
