La Roche College held their Spring Concert last Friday and managed to get MAX to headline the show. I am a co-founder of the concert planning organization which we call the LRCCC (La Roche College Concert Council) and we put together what turned out to be a really amazing show.
First on stage we had local pop/rock/funk band, Vertigo. I, myself, have shot them several times and they are really good friends of mine. So I may be biased, but I think the music they make is amazing. They’re pop, but not cookie-cutter pop. They’ve got more of a funky vibe to them and it’s really easy to dance to. The crowd was vibing out and some were singing along with them which was awesome. They were a great opening act and got the crowd’s adrenaline running. Their Facebook page is linked above so go check them out!
Next up we had pop/rock local sensation, A Summer High. They always put on a great show. They get the crowd pumped and dancing, which was very good prep for MAX’s set. They had the crowd on their feet and moving while they sang some originals and covers such as “She Looks So Perfect” by 5 Seconds of Summer and “Mr. Brightside” by The Killers. They overall did a great set. Their Facebook page is linked above as well!
And last, but certainly not least, we had MAX, singer of the hit single, “Lights Down Low”. I had the privilege of getting to meet him since my job was to tend to the acts. He was such a sweetheart. Couldn’t be any nicer of a guy.
On stage, he was a maniac. He was dancing like crazy and enjoying every second on that stage. I really don’t know how he does that every night. He has to be so exhausted. He had the crowd on their feet and singing along to each and every word. He put his all into the performance and it was absolutely captivating to watch. He mentioned he would be back in the fall on his own tour so be sure to check him out when he comes back because ai can guarantee you will not be bored at a MAX concert.
