Melodic death metal outfit ALLEGAEON today kicks off a short run of live abrasions supporting Max & Igor Cavalera Return To Roots. Set to embark this evening in Las Vegas, Nevada, the band will level thirteen stages through October 12th including an appearance on Ozzfest Meets KnotfestSeptember 24th in San Bernardino, California. ALLEGAEON will be touring in support of their soon-to-be-released fourth full-length, Proponent For Sentience, set for official unveiling via Metal Blade Records on September 23rd. Produced by Dave Otero (Cattle Decapitation), Proponent For Sentience, which featuring guest appearances bySoilwork’s Bjorn “Speed” Strid and Scar Symmetry/ex-Bloodshot Dawn’s Benjamin Ellis, is a musically complex, intelligent, and absorbing concept record that can rightfully sit alongside the true greats of the medium. With a lyrical arc rooted in science-fiction yet uncomfortably encroaching upon the reality of the present, it captures the Fort Collins, Colorado natives at their most ambitious and accomplished, pushing the boundaries even further than on their three previous, critically-acclaimed full-lengths.
