About Without Question:
Since introduced to the world of hip hop at age 14, Chicago rapper Without Question has felt destined to write and perform. This realization came to him in the form of De La Soul’s debut album 3 Feet High and Rising. Years passed in which he became obsessed with rappers from hip hop’s golden age such as A Tribe Called Quest, Eric B & Rakim, and Gangstarr. Through these icons that came before him, WQ developed a passion for story telling and social commentary through song.
Without Question has been writing rhymes for the last 11 years, often writing during semester breaks from college, and long into the night after 12 hour work days. A harsh critic of his own work, he chose to dedicate himself to the craft of rhyme and song writing before making his debut release in 2013. With his debut mixtape #Bedspread, WQ introduces himself to Chicago, and the hiphop world at large. WQ borrows from life’s ills and pleasures to create songs with purpose that open the eyes and ears of listeners. His rhymes cover a wide variety of topics: from hip hop itself, to racism, love, murder, and addiction.
