POP/ROCK DUO ATTENDS CONVENTION AS CORRESPONDENTS, PERFORMS AND GETS INTERVIEWED FOR “LAST.FM ORIGINALS” SERIES  

 

“Turn On The Stereo” tour runs through November
Christopher Martin and Chris Phillips, the two men who make up the melodic power-pop noise-rock duo IAMDYNAMITE, have had a busy fall. For the past month, they’ve been criss-crossing the country on tour, and during their New York tour stop, the guys (with the help of last.fm, recording for their last.fm Originals series) invaded New York Comic-Con! The guys walked the floor of the Jacob Javits Center in Manhattan, chatting up costumed attendees and exhibitors alike. They also managed to sneak in a performance and interview at the last.fm studios. During the interview, the good-natured duo discussed everything from their upcoming second album to the things they saw while attending Comic-Con.

IAMDYNAMITE’s debut album, Supermegafantastic, has been garnering raves ever since it was released. Allmusic.com says “IAMDYNAMITE have a knack for catchy, rhythmically infectious punk-pop and garage rock anthems that grab your attention with an all-caps energy that’s hard to turn away from,” while Absolute Punk reports that “They clearly have a good time on their journey without dumbing their music down.” Huffington Post, meanwhile, countsSupermegafantastic as “among this year’s best.” Their live show has also received acclaim, and their inventive video clips have garnered over half a million combined views on YouTube.

The manic black and white video for “Stereo,” which you can currently hear on a radio station near you, is reminiscent of the White Stripes and showcases IAMDYNAMITE‘s unique brand of infectious rock.
