Impose debuts new single from Dott, Galaway’s melodic garage pop quartet

Stream first single “Small Pony” via Impose
“Dott is a band that astutely turns that inherent sweetness into a melee of crunchy guitars, masterful breakdowns, and deliberate “oo”s and “ahh”s that don’t put the song too far into pop territory.”
– Dayna Evans / Impose

Dott are from Galway, Ireland and play shiney, harmony-driven garage pop. The band is led by songwriter Anna McCarthy (vocals/guitar) with Laura Finnegan (bass/vocals) Miriam Donohue (guitar/vocals) and Tony Higgins (drums).

Their eagerly awaited debut album Swoon will be released on December 3, 2013 on Graveface Records US. Their debut EP Button was released in 2012 on the Popical Island Collective and on 7″ vinyl with Graveface Records USA.

Formed only in January 2012, Dott had a busy first year with appearances live on national television on the Late Late Show, at Electric Picnic 2012, HWCH 2012, Camden Crawl 2012/13, Indiependence 2012, Club Popicalia, 2FM Dan Hegarty Sessions, Arena RTE Radio 1, Ceol ar an Imeall TG4 and Community of Independents, DCTV.

Dott recently made their US debut at New York’s favourite independent music venue the Cake Shop. Songs from Button can be heard on BBC Radio, Today FM, 2FM, RTE RADIO 1, RnaG, 98FM and Phantom Radio.
