The Fall season is always a busy time for your Lords and Masters in GWAR, and this year is of course no different.  The Scumdogs have successfully made their way back to North America and have kicked off the “Madness at the Core of Time” tour.  This tour features a completely brand-new show full of slavering creatures and deserving victims, and runs through November 17th in Washington, DC.  GWAR has been joined by deathcore heavyweights and label-mates Whitechapel, Richmond, VA thrashers Iron Reagan (featuring Municipal Waste singer Tony Foresta) and A Band of Orcs (who are actually a band of Orcs).

Putting down the crack pipe Oderus belched:

“It has begun, in a messy and mindless fashion…the “Madness at the Core of Time” Tour kicked off in Columbus last night and the first round in the endless struggle between GWAR and this so-called “Mr. Perfect” ended in a stunning victory for the mighty GWAR…we kicked his fucking ass and reduced his mutated followers into bloody pulp. And it will continue!”

After last year’s triumphant performance as part of The AV Club Undercover Series whereGWAR gave their take of the classic Kansas song “Carry on Wayward Son” (Which can be viewed HERE), THE AV Club actually invited the monsters back to participate in the 2013 edition of the Undercover Series. To no one’s surprise GWAR was declared the winner of the best performance of 2012.  This time GWAR had a short list of songs to choose from and went with the Billy Ocean’s #1 hit single “Get Outta My Dreams, Get into My Car” with a little twist.  Check out their take on the 80’s classic HERE, and be sure to vote when the polls open so the almighty GWAR wins best performance yet again!

“Somehow we found a song even worse than the last one we did, added part of another one, fucked both of them up completely, and somehow it still sounded better than that horrible Kansas song. Hopefully after we win this time they will stop having these things and we can all just all get back to our lives,” mused Oderus.

Since he is one who is never short of words the one and only Oderus Urungus has decided to take part in a Reddit AMA.  This is your opportunity to ask the warty one anything you have ever wanted or never wanted to know about GWAR, their new album and anything else Oderus decides to mouth off about.  The AMA will take place Monday October 7th from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM Eastern at reddit.com/r/music.

The warty one commented on his upcoming AMA:

“I have been looking forward to my AMA for a long time. It gives the fans a unique opportunity to interact with their favorite mutant pig-lord with virtually no chance of having their lungs ripped out!”

Don’t forget to sign the petition to have GWAR play the Super Bowl Half Time Show.  Currently at over 42,000 signatures, the petition that was started by Jeff Cantrell of Morehead, Kentucky can be signed at Change.org/GWARBOWL.

GWAR‘s Battle Maximus out now on Metal Blade Records features twelve brand new tracks that not only honor their departed ally, but tells the story of GWAR‘s latest struggle against what may be their greatest enemy yet…the insidious “Mr. Perfect”, who has travelled through time itself to steal the power of GWAR–the power of immortality, and use this power to mutate the human race into his twisted vision of what the “perfect” human should be. Once again GWAR finds themselves as the only thing standing between the human race and the latest super-powered shithead bent on the destruction of GWAR and the enslavement of their worshippers.

The title track from Battle Maximus is streaming HERE.

Check out a stream of the song “Bloodbath” HERE.
