The members of Grammy-winning “Texican rock & roll” trio Los Lonely Boys have been very busy lately. Not only have the Garza brothers been touring and recording, they’ve just announced that the title of their upcoming sixth studio album is Revelation. The album will be released early in 2014 through Playing In Traffic Records/MRI.
The first taste of Revelation has already surfaced via “Blame It On Love,” which metrolyrics.com declares a “mellow, sunny” summer single. “Blame It On Love” is available digitally on iTunes & Amazon mp3.

Revelation is being produced by Don Gehman, who has worked in the past with R.E.M., John Mellencamp and Tracy Chapman. The follow up to 2011’s Rockpango, Revelation also marks the band’s most significant entry into co-writing songs. One of Revelation‘s tracks, “Can’t Slow Down,” is being used by ESPN for all NASCAR programming. The Los Lonely Boys sports connection will continue as Revelation track “Rule The World” has been licensed by MondayNight Football. The brothers recently got to attend the Dallas Cowboys’ preseason training camp, where they tossed around a football with quarterback Tony Romo.
Bassist JoJo Garza says “The new album Revelation, just like every album we make, is a new chapter in our lives. We’ve always been about love and spreading the message of love. That hasn’t changed. To us if you can’t love…then you can’t really live. It’s the foundation on which we are created as human beings…so its important to work at it just like we do our jobs. These songs are based around that. Give more love than you take…do your best to be honest and truthful…and don’t ever give up! These are some of our best qualities as people and a big part of the message we can leave behind for others, and more valuable than any amount of money. ”
Los Lonely Boys are currently traveling across the US on a triple bill with Alejandro Escovedo and Los Lobos. Dates will continue through the remainder of the summer and through late fall.
