EYEHATEGOD
frontman Mike IX Williams has successfully undergone a liver transplant, with his new liver producing bile almost right away, an extremely good sign, enough for doctors to downgrade him to the hospital hotel. When reached for an update, the singer in good spirits jokingly replied, “So honestly. I’m procrastinating because I’m waiting to write something introspective and creative blah blah blah, but truth be told and blessed be, I am recovering from massive brutal surgery at a speedy rate and exactly where I want to be! Doctors are happy with my progression. Thanks to everyone who’s donated and contributed. Please continue to spread the word of these benefits, as there is a long road of medical expenses to be accounted for…”
Those wishing to donate directly as well as receive more updates can visit his YouCaring site here: www.youcaring.com/mikeixwilliams-695413.

Nate Burns of Revolting Worship designed the official benefit admat. Posters will be available at the show for sale as well as a few signed by all the bands and raffled off with all proceeds going to Williams. Burns comments, “It was an absolute honor to contribute art to this incredible event as a thank you to Mike IX Williams and EYEHATEGOD whom have played a pivotal role in exposing me to the music and visual art that has inspired me in my own creative endeavors for years.”
Cleveland-based merchandising company, IndieMerch, has kindly set up a webpage where Burns’ art poster and T-shirt can be purchased, again with all proceeds going directly to Williams. Karim Peter, IndieMerch artist relations, commented, “Mike has been breaking ground in extreme music for as long as any of us here have been involved in the scene. It has been inspiring to see the friends and fans he has gathered in the past twenty-five-plus years come together behind him in his time of need and we’re honored to be involved in aiding with the cause. We wish Mike a speedy recovery so he can return to his life and his art.”
The poster and shirts can be purchased here:

GWAR Announces September Tour Dates, Alongside Crowbar and Mutoid Man Appearances at The Gathering of the Juggalos and Riot Fest Chicago On Deck

Currently everyone in Antarctica is slaving away on preparations for the 7th AnnualGWAR B-Q.  During a break in the action to step away for a quick hit of crack, the band realized that there was no crack left.

“Since the FBI and CIA have put a huge dent in the human trafficking market we have to resort to touring again to make drug money! We can’t catch a break!” exclaimed guitarist Pustulus Maximus!

So there you have it, the Scumdogs in GWAR need crack and they are out of money!!! So to combat this problem your Lords and Masters will be slaying Juggalos in July, GWAR B-Q’ing this August, then hitting the road with Crowbar and Mutoid Man from September 14th in Cincinnati, OH through September 18th in Buffalo, NY with a stop in Chicago at this year’s Riot Fest!  Tickets for the GWARheadline shows go on sale this Friday July 8th!

GWAR Frontman Oderus Urungus to Appear on “Insane Clown Posse Theater” Tonight on Fuse

GWAR lead throat thing, the one and only Oderus Urungus will make his return to Fuse tonight as he guest stars on Insane Clown Posse Theater.  The show features Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope’s twisted take on what’s new in music and popular culture.  Every week, Insane Clown Posse views a mix of music videos and viral clips and provides uninhibited commentary, as only they can. Insane Clown Posse Theater airs at 11:30 PM EST/10:30 PM CST. In a landmark decision to class up their show even more, the Clowns decided to invite the Lord and Master of the Universe Oderus Urungus to take part in the mayhem.

A preview for tonight’s episode as well as a web exclusive interview with Oderus can be seen HERE.

“I had a great time in the Big Apple w/ ICP, making fun of idiotic videos, molesting their girlfriends in the mop closet, and making entire bologna-logs disappear up my ass,” said rock and roll’s most asinine front-thing. “And once again Fuse had the balls to put GWAR on TV. But isn’t it about time we had our own TV show? Who do I need to have sex with?” quoth Oderus.

In other GWAR news that you probably heard about already, Oderus and company recently announced they would be bringing the most legendary spectacle in rock ‘n roll all the way from Antarctica to the Land of the Rising Sun. GWAR is finally playing Japan

The mighty GWAR announced they would be bringing the most insane spectacle in Rock ‘n Roll all the way from Antarctica to the Land of the Rising Sun. After 28 years of relentless touring, recording and general mayhem,GWAR is finally playing Japan!

“A lot of people think we have played there already because of our album, Live at Mt. Fuji,” said lead front-thing Oderus Urungus. “But that was in fact recorded in the future!”

After playing the gigantic Soundwave Festival in Australia, GWAR will travel north to play two exclusive shows in Japan, where legions of GWAR fans have been waiting patiently for years for their chance to die in the presence of their hulking metal overlords. Their wishes shall at last come true on Thursday, March 6th at Club Quattro in Osaka, Japan, and Friday, March 7th at Akasaka Blitz in Tokyo.

Tickets for the shows will be available during the Creative Man pre-sale January 13th – 17th.  There will also be a presale opportunity on Japan’s most important metal radio program “Power Rock Today” hosted by Masa Ito on January 18th.  The local Ticketmaster presale will run from January 19th – 24thHERE and the general public on sale begins January 25th.  For more JapaneseGWAR news, be sure to follow @gwarjapanet on Twitter.

GWAR will bring their full show, featuring all the carnage, spew, and metallic mayhem that has enslaved legions of fans in North America and beyond. This of course means spontaneous beheadings and disembowelments shall be the order of the day, and a bloody attack by mutant cyborg Sawborg Destructo is sure to occur. GWAR will certainly fight back with their pulsing spew-cannon, the Biledriver, and Oderus has pledged to “blow wad everywhere” creating legions of mutated sex slaves to spread the disease of GWAR across the entire country. Even more alarming are the continued sightings of GWAR‘s mighty pet Tyrannosaurus Rex, Gor-Gor, which have been coming ever closer to the region.

“But the biggest reason we are going there is to reward all of those loyal and patient Japanese GWAR fans with what they have been yearning for in their blackest of dreams…an actual GWAR show,” proclaims Oderus Urnugus

Battle Maximus can be ordered from Metal Blade Records HEREAmazon and iTunes.

GWAR Debuts Video For “Madness at the Core of Time”

Sure they may have just finished the first leg of their most brutal tour to date, but the Intergalactic Warlords are not ready for a break just yet.  People have been asking when there will be a video for a song from GWAR‘s latest masterpiece Battle Maximus and now they have an answer.  Today your Lords and Masters bring to you the video for “Madness at the Core of Time”.  Check out the video HERE and pick up your copy of Battle Maximus.  (Seriously if you haven’t gotten it yet, what the FUCK are you waiting for?  Oderus needs drug money)

Quoth Oderus:

“We made a video?  I have been so busy touring, getting loaded and mouthing off I didn’t even notice.  But I am sure it’s the best video ever, simply because GWAR is in it.”

In other GWAR news, for the last two years animators Myke Chillian and Tommy Meehan have been working with the members of GWAR to create a “GWARtoon” that was appropriately disgusting and objectionable enough to most accurately represent the most dangerous band in rock and roll history.  After all this long and hard work, last week Funny or Die finally premiered “The Animated Tales of GWAR“.  Check it out HERE.

Following a short Antarctic slumber GWAR will return to the road with three shows around the holidays (December 27th – 29th) with Battlecross and Iron Reagan providing support.  Then it’s off to Antarctica again before heading “down under” for their appearance on the 2014 “Soundwave Festival”.

GWAR‘s Battle Maximus out now on Metal Blade Records features twelve brand new tracks that not only honor their departed ally, but tells the story of GWAR‘s latest struggle against what may be their greatest enemy yet…the insidious “Mr. Perfect”, who has travelled through time itself to steal the power of GWAR–the power of immortality, and use this power to mutate the human race into his twisted vision of what the “perfect” human should be. Once again GWAR finds themselves as the only thing standing between the human race and the latest super-powered shithead bent on the destruction of GWAR and the enslavement of their worshippers.

Battle Maximus can be ordered from Metal Blade Records HEREAmazon and iTunes.

Funny or Die Debuts “The Animated Tales of GWAR”

For the last two years animators Myke Chillian and Tommy Meehan have been working with the members of GWAR to create a “GWARtoon” that was appropriately disgusting and objectionable enough to most accurately represent the most dangerous band in rock and roll history.  After all this long and hard work, today Funny or Die finally premieres “The Animated Tales of GWAR“.  Check it out HERE.

Animator Myke Chillian described “The Animated Tales of GWAR“:

“Lead singer Oderus Urungus loses his murderous-mojo prompting the rest of the band to embark on an Antarctic quest for the cure. Weird Al Yankovic guest stars.”

Brutal front-fiend Oderus Urungus had this to say about the project–“I hate cartoons…cartoons are for kids, and kids are strictly for eating. But I just might have to back up a little and say that this is the greatest cartoon ever, even if I still hate it, just because it’s about US.”

GWAR will wrap up the first leg of the “Madness at the Core of Time” tour this weekend in Washington, DC.  This has been described as GWAR‘s best tour to date (but aren’t they all?) The tour features deathcore heavyweights and label-mates Whitechapel, Richmond, VA thrashers Iron Reagan (featuring Municipal Waste members Tony Foresta and Land Phil as well as Ryan Parrish on drums) and A Band of Orcs (who are actually a band of Orcs).

Oderus continued–“This first leg of the Madness tour has been everything I thought it would be and more. I feel we have paid tribute to Flattus, as we will for eternity, and moved into an exciting new chapter of GWAR behind the blistering fury of our new guitar player Pustulus…now I must get back to eating babies.”

After last year’s triumphant performance as part of The AV Club Undercover Series where GWAR gave their take of the classic Kansas song “Carry on Wayward Son” (Which can be viewed HERE) and was voted the best performance of 2012.  This year the AV Club actually invited the monsters back to participate in the 2013 edition of the Undercover Series. This year GWAR repeated as champion in the best performance of 2013 with Billy Ocean’s #1 hit single “Get Outta My Dreams, Get into My Car” with a little twist.  Check out their take on the 80’s classic HERE.

Getting the Joke: GWAR Shock and Rock with 13th Album

Beneath the countless genres of rock and metal, shock rock is the one that everyone needs to take a deep breath for before talking about. Alice Cooper, KISS and Marilyn Manson remain the cornerstones of their eras for scaring the crap out of their audiences while delivering their music, but with that embrace of spectacle, the “rock” part of “shock rock” was frequently ignored. It was a musical movement where the live shows fueled record sales, not the music itself.

GWAR were one of the first shock rock bands to completely embrace the joke the genre had become. The members put on ridiculously intricate outfits and face makeup, purposely made their live shows into spectacles in controversy and obscenity, all while staying vehemently dedicated to their wacky mythology of being aliens that landed in Antarctica to play metal for us all. With nearly 30 years of ravaging Planet Earth with their music, GWAR continue their legacy with their 13th studio album, Battle Maximus. GWAR have not changed lanes much since 1985 and they don’t much of that on Battle Maximus either, but if you’re a fan, you won’t be left disappointed.

GWAR’s live performances and obsession with a ridiculously crafted lore behind the band has been their calling card, almost overshadowing the band’s surprisingly enticing mix of punk rock pacing and heavy metal influences. Battle Maximus straddles the line of speed metal with hard punk rock, moving throughout the band’s inner circle with ferocious intensity. “Madness at the Core of Time” is clearly a punk rock song. Despite the thrashy nature of Brent “Pustulus” Purgason’s guitar solo, the pace is so drenched in adrenaline that for a second, you might think you’re listening to some up-and-coming hardcore band in a local dive. It’s made all the clearer when Brad “Jizmak” Roberts started pounding on the drumkit like a maniac, frequently shifting pace and tempo throughout “Nothing Left Alive.” GWAR don’t just parody metal; they can play it really well too.

Dave “Oderus” Brockie, despite donning the spiked shoulder-pads and wrinkled makeup of a shock rocker, actually has a very good and distinctive metal voice. Less guttural and much more influenced by the snarl of Ozzy Osbourne, there’s just enough crowd-pumping spirit behind his voice to get the circle pits turning. “Bloodbath” lets Oderus vary up his singing style with punk calls to the crowd and the occasional sliding melody. His lyrics dance around the controversial content that has made GWAR so widely known and loved in metal. It can get rather raunchy, but GWAR capitalize on that vibe and make it their own. When anyone else does it, it’s uncomfortable. When GWAR does it, it’s their weapon of choice.

“They Swallowed the Sun” is one of the best on the album, with lyrics working around machine control and the same cosmically evil themes GWAR brought with them from outer space. Left-turns are abound throughout the track; shifting tempos, metal breakdowns and a great amount of punk-infused energy. The last chorus escalates immensely, reaching a crowd-pleasing height and ultimately diving down before a climactic final note. However, after the halfway point hits, Battle Maximus starts to blend its parts together. Aside from the instrumental title track and “I, Bonesnapper” (featuring vocals from the artist of the same name), the band loses steam from its distinctive mix of punk and thrash. The songwriting stumbles and the band’s signature tones and themes muddle together into something that will get the circle pits turning, but you won’t necessarily know why.

But does this mean that GWAR are bad? Not really. For a band so completely inseparable from their stage presence, their music is actually quite good and can stand alone. You can’t say that for every shock rock band, but GWAR have some very well constructed songwriting in their arsenal. It’s just a shame that much of that excellent songwriting is shoved to the front of the album. It makes an incredible first impression then starts dragging its feet before its end. Battle Maximus is as blistering and ferocious as GWAR has ever been; it won’t make any new GWAR fans, but it’s still incredibly encouraging to see a shock rock band that can still keep its actual music from getting stale, even 30 years after donning the makeup.

GWAR Kicks Off “Madness at the Core of Time Tour” Covers Billy Ocean

The Fall season is always a busy time for your Lords and Masters in GWAR, and this year is of course no different.  The Scumdogs have successfully made their way back to North America and have kicked off the “Madness at the Core of Time” tour.  This tour features a completely brand-new show full of slavering creatures and deserving victims, and runs through November 17th in Washington, DC.  GWAR has been joined by deathcore heavyweights and label-mates Whitechapel, Richmond, VA thrashers Iron Reagan (featuring Municipal Waste singer Tony Foresta) and A Band of Orcs (who are actually a band of Orcs).

Putting down the crack pipe Oderus belched:

“It has begun, in a messy and mindless fashion…the “Madness at the Core of Time” Tour kicked off in Columbus last night and the first round in the endless struggle between GWAR and this so-called “Mr. Perfect” ended in a stunning victory for the mighty GWAR…we kicked his fucking ass and reduced his mutated followers into bloody pulp. And it will continue!”

After last year’s triumphant performance as part of The AV Club Undercover Series whereGWAR gave their take of the classic Kansas song “Carry on Wayward Son” (Which can be viewed HERE), THE AV Club actually invited the monsters back to participate in the 2013 edition of the Undercover Series. To no one’s surprise GWAR was declared the winner of the best performance of 2012.  This time GWAR had a short list of songs to choose from and went with the Billy Ocean’s #1 hit single “Get Outta My Dreams, Get into My Car” with a little twist.  Check out their take on the 80’s classic HERE, and be sure to vote when the polls open so the almighty GWAR wins best performance yet again!

“Somehow we found a song even worse than the last one we did, added part of another one, fucked both of them up completely, and somehow it still sounded better than that horrible Kansas song. Hopefully after we win this time they will stop having these things and we can all just all get back to our lives,” mused Oderus.

Since he is one who is never short of words the one and only Oderus Urungus has decided to take part in a Reddit AMA.  This is your opportunity to ask the warty one anything you have ever wanted or never wanted to know about GWAR, their new album and anything else Oderus decides to mouth off about.  The AMA will take place Monday October 7th from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM Eastern at reddit.com/r/music.

The warty one commented on his upcoming AMA:

“I have been looking forward to my AMA for a long time. It gives the fans a unique opportunity to interact with their favorite mutant pig-lord with virtually no chance of having their lungs ripped out!”

Don’t forget to sign the petition to have GWAR play the Super Bowl Half Time Show.  Currently at over 42,000 signatures, the petition that was started by Jeff Cantrell of Morehead, Kentucky can be signed at Change.org/GWARBOWL.

GWAR ENDORSES SUPER BOWL PETITION

After a week and over 35,000 signatures, Antarctic overlords GWAR finally have officially reacted to the petition started by Jeff Cantrell of Morehead, Kentucky on Change.org to haveGWAR play the Super Bowl Halftime Show.  The petition can be signed atChange.org/GWARBOWL.

“It has long been the joy of GWAR to submit the human race to any number of hideous tortures, and I can’t think of anything more horrible than you having to watch acts like The Black-Eyed Peas and Bruno Mars perform. So the temptation to ignore this is great! But then you start thinking about all of the people that who have never experienced GWAR before, and will be forced to do so if we do get the gig, well, at that point my colossal mega-ego kicks in and I am all over it.”

After a long and wet fart, Oderus continued…”I really don’t think we should be limited to playing the halftime show…I am offering GWAR as an actual team that could complete in the NFL. Think of the titanic struggle involved as the NFL submits their best players, hell, we could play against all the teams at once and still emerge victorious. For too long has the NFL ignored the obvious fact that the players should be naked, blind-folded and armed with battle axes, that land mines should litter the field and whalers should hurl harpoons randomly from the stands. GWAR is throwing our entire cosmic weight (and we are fairly hefty) behind this petition, and command all of our followers, their families, and indeed anybody who has ever existed to sign this fucking thing, and in fact for those who have already signed it to create multiple fake email addresses and sign it again!”

And now to top it all off, today GWAR is ready to bring everyone a little holiday cheer with a select number of shows this December.   That’s right it’s Christmas Time with Santa Oderus.  These three shows are set for December 27th in New York at Irving Plaza, December 28th in New Haven, CT at Toad’s Place and finally a show in Richmond, VA on December 29th at The National.  Tickets for all three shows go on sale this Friday.

In support of Battle Maximus,GWAR will be heading out this fall on the  “Madness at the Core of Time” tour.  The tour, which features a completely brand-new show full of slavering creatures and deserving victims, is set to kick off October 2nd in Columbus, Ohio and runs through November 17th in Washington, DC.  GWAR shall be joined by deathcore heavyweights and label-mates Whitechapel, Richmond, VA thrashers Iron Reagan (featuring Municipal Waste singer Tony Foresta) and A Band of Orcs (who are actually a band of Orcs).

GWAR‘s Battle Maximus features twelve brand new tracks that not only honor their departed ally, but tells the story of GWAR‘s latest struggle against what may be their greatest enemy yet…the insidious “Mr. Perfect”, who has travelled through time itself to steal the power ofGWAR–the power of immortality, and use this power to mutate the human race into his twisted vision of what the “perfect” human should be. Once again GWAR finds themselves as the only thing standing between the human race and the latest super-powered shithead bent on the destruction of GWAR and the enslavement of their worshippers.

GWAR Battle Maximus Available Today

“Madness at the Core of Time” Tour Kicks off October 2nd
The day has finally arrived.  Your lords and masters GWAR have unleashed their 13th and most devastating album to date Battle Maximus.  The album can be ordered from Metal Blade Records HEREAmazon and iTunes.

If you missed PGHMUSICMAG’s recent interview with Oderus you need to go HERE

In celebration of the album’s release, GuitarWorld.com the online home of Guitar World Magazine, is hosting an exclusive stream of the instrumental title Track “Battle Maximus”.  Check out the song HERE.

Tonight in Richmond, VA at Balliceaux there will be a Battle Maximus release party.  The party starts at 8:00 PM and will feature appearances by Oderus Urungus and guitarist Pustulous Maximus.  Battle Maximus will be blasting in its entirety, there will be free posters and fans can pick up their copy of the new album for $5.

Continuing their media onslaught, GWAR front thing Oderus Urungus appeared on the Dan Patrick Show yesterday to talk football, the new album and as the case with Oderus a whole lot more.  The interview with Oderus, Dan Patrick and Jamey Jasta can be seen HERE.

But that’s not all; Oderus has taken over the satellites at SiriusXM’s Liquid Metal.  Every hour today through 2:00 AM tomorrow morning, the Warty One will be introducing new songs fromBattle Maximus.  That’s a new GWAR song every hour!

GWAR will be heading out this fall on the  “Madness at the Core of Time” tour.

Check out a stream of the song “Bloodbath” HERE.

Most GWAR fans know the “Battle Maximus” was the sonic war of fratricide waged by the Maximus clan against themselves in order to choose a successor worthy to follow in Flattus’ clawprints, and was recorded as a song on the new album. Every GWAR fan knows that the awesome Pustulus Maximus triumphed in this struggle. But what most don’t know was the stellar line-up of additional guitarists that contributed solos to this blistering instrumental track. These included Lamb of God’s Mark Duane Morton (who played under the pseudonym “Tyrone Die Tuefel”), Ol Drake from Evile (Twatticus Maximus), and Todd Evans of Mobile Death Camp (also an ex-GWAR member, who for many years played Beefcake the Mighty and contributed to this work under the name Skookum Maximus)

But the biggest outside contribution came from Zach Blair of Rise Against (who had played the character of Flattus before Cory Smoot, and took to this project under the name “Splattus Maximus”. Zach flew into Richmond to GWAR‘s “Slave Pit Studios” several times, did much of the writing and arrangement on the record, and finally recorded tons of completely shredding guitar.

Said Zach, “It was so great to re-connect with this family of mine and be reminded of what a great, hard working institution GWAR really is. This organization defines the term “DIY”. If they want to see something or use something that just doesn’t exist, they make it! It’s inspiring to be around and in the ten years since my tenure with them I’d forgotten what a force it is to be reckoned with. I’m so proud of them and I’m so proud of this record.. This record is many things to me a musical send-off and tribute to the late, great Cory Smoot (in the manner of which he would have liked it!) and an extension of my own contribution to this amazing cultural, artistic and musical statement. I’m forever proud to say “I PLAYED IN GWAR!!”

Oderus of GWAR checks in with PITTSBURGH MUSIC MAGAZINE to talk Battle Maximus/ Live at Mr. Smalls 9/14

Just got off the phone with Oderus Urungus, leader and  intergalactic humanoid barbarian of GWAR, where we talked about their new release Battle Maximus.  I have had the pleasure of listening to the entire release and I have to tell you that it is the strongest effort that GWAR has ever released in my humble opinion.  GWAR gets overshadowed by their show rather than their musicianship for reasons that are obvious had you ever witnessed a GWAR show, and that is not to slight their musical prowess in any way…its just their show is that amazing and fun.  But, with this album GWAR can silence the naysayers and critics who say that all GWAR can do is throw fake blood and jump around in costumes.  True fans have been clued in for years and now many may open their minds and ears to the fact that there is much more going on sonically.  GWAR’s Battle Maximus features twelve brand new tracks that not only honor their departed ally, but tells the story of GWAR’s latest struggle against what may be their greatest enemy yet…the insidious “Mr. Perfect”, who has travelled through time itself to steal the power of GWAR–the power of immortality, and use this power to mutate the human race into his twisted vision of what the “perfect” human should be.   Listen here as we talk to Oderus about the new album and practicing for the tour, The GWARBQ, Fox Channel, Syria, G-pen vaporizer endorsements, and what we should do with “celebutards”like Miley Cyrus…

GWAR Gears up for the “Bloodbath” at This Weekend’s GWAR-B-Q With New Song Premiere/In PGH @Mr. Smalls 9/14

The biggest, sickest, most debauched party of the summer is just days away! That’s right, Slave Pit Inc and your Lords and Masters GWAR are counting down the hours until the 4thAnnual GWAR-B-Q.   The mighty GWAR will once again be headlining the event, and they will of course feature songs from their new album Battle Maximus.  The event will be held Sat., Aug. 17th at Hadad’s Water Park in Richmond, VA. The event will be held RAIN OR SHINE. Nothing short of nuclear holocaust can stop GWAR, and even that is highly debatable…the GWAR B-Q is on, NO MATTER WHAT!!!

As a special treat for the human scum, Oderus Urungus has decided to give the bohabs another taste of what they can expect from Battle Maximus.  GWAR has teamed up with VICE to drop the next tasty morsel from Battle Maximus on your pointy little heads.  HeadHERE, to read an exclusive interview with Oderus and to hear the premiere of the song “Bloodbath”.  Then get ready to be a part of the carnage this Saturday at the GWAR-B-Q.

Although he is deep in preparations trying to find enough “crackahol” (Oderus’ new favorite drug, a mixture of booze and crack) to get through the weekend, Oderus would never pass up a chance to rant about a new song and the GWAR-B-Q:

“Bloodbath is a catchy little ditty straight from Scumdog City, with a sound reminiscent of past GWAR thrash-ter-pieces like Jack the World or Happy Death Day, yet completely different. It also features a ripping lead from new Scumdog Pustulus Maximus that is sure to melt your eardrums…lyrically it is a rumination on the inevitability of death for you mortals, and how you should not fear this…for death at the hands of GWAR is the most liberating experience you can ever have, especially in our Meat Grinder!”

And for those of you that don’t read press releases or pay attention, do it NOW.  All details that you need about tickets for the event can be found below.

As far as tickets are concerned please pay close attention– everybody who bought an e-ticket online must have a hard copy of EACH TICKET for entry–that means following all the links provided in the email that was sent to you and printing a hardcopy of every ticket. That means if you bought more than one ticket, you must have copies for every individual ticket purchased, so be sure to follow every link and print everything you can. YOU MUST HAVE HARD COPIES OF EVERY INDIVIDUAL TICKET IN ORDER TO GAIN ADMITTANCE. Klar? Klar! That’s “clear” for us Americans.

Deluxe ticket sales have ended, but official GWAR-B-Q 2013 t-shirts will be available for purchase at the event. There will also be raffle tickets available at the merch booth with your chance to win any number of a host of valuable prizes. (See Below) There will be no weapons, pets, video cameras or glass allowed anywhere within Hadads, and backpacks and coolers will be checked by Hadad’s security at the gate. Remember GWAR fans, we are guests at Hadads, and if we want to continue this fine tradition we must respects the perfectly reasonable requests of our host…plus GWAR commands it!

No effort has been spared to make this the most spectacular GWAR B-Q yet, and this year that includes providing the faithful GWAR fans with a skate park truly worthy of a GWAR B-Q. A legion of slaves has been laboring ceaselessly to create it, and their efforts are a complete GO, featuring a half-pipe, ¼ pipes, a fun box (whatever the hell that is), grind rails, and finally a bike launch ramp, supplied by FBM Bike Co. These are all open to the public so bring your skate, bike, or rocket-sled.

Of course the memory of GWAR’s departed Scumdog brother, Flattus Maximus, will always be with us, and many flagons of GWAR BEER (brewed especially for the GWAR B-Q by Tampa’s Cigar City Brewery) will be hoisted to honor his legend. There will be a special “Flattus Shrine” booth set up full of Smoot shirts and music, and all proceeds garnered here will go straight to the Smoot Family Fund.

Bus shuttles will be available for FREE from 2BNB, for pickup locations and schedules check out all the details HERE.  Finally car-pooling is highly encouraged as there is very limited parking at the venue.  This does not mean for you to drive your car into the pool, it means you can get a free ride if you are too wasted. The safety of our fans and other humans is of the highest priority for the Slave-Pit, so your soul can be saved for GWAR to do with as they please.

Rain or shine, its all systems GO for this years most debauched gathering of the summer and the greatest GWAR-B-Q in history. See all of you faithful bohabs there at Hadad’s, Aug. 17th, 2013! HAIL FLATTUS, HAIL THE BOHABS…AND HAIL GWAR!!!

GWARis set to release Battle Maximus their 13th studio album, and their first since legendary Scumdog Flattus Maximus returned to the stars to fulfill his cosmic destiny. The album will be available September 17th via Metal Blade Records.  Check out the first track, “Madness at the Core of Time” and pre-order your copy of Battle Maximus HERE.

Whitechapel to tour with GWAR this Fall

Whitechapel is primed to hit the road with GWAR starting this October.

Masters of medieval metal, the mighty GWAR, are poised to return to the world of man as today they announced the first leg of their massive “Madness at the Core of Time” world tour, in support of their new album, Battle Maximus, which is out September 17th on Metal Blade Records. The tour, which features a completely brand-new show full of slavering creatures and deserving victims, is set to kick offOctober 2nd in Columbus, Ohio and runs through November 17th in Washington, DC. Tickets go on sale this Friday, August 2nd.

Overlord Oderus Urungus allowed Whitechapel guitarist Alex Wade to comment on the tour:

”We’re extremely excited to announce that we will be direct supporting the almighty GWAR this fall.  The tour will be hitting some spots we haven’t been in a while and we’re looking forward to having a blast on tour with them so come out and get GWAR’ed with us!”

Of course Oderus had more to say (when doesn’t he?):

“Let me make something perfectly clear. DON’T commit suicide if your city/country/collection of mud-huts isn’t on the list. We can’t play every city in the world in one tour, as much as we would like to. There will be a whole year or more of shows in support of Battle Maximus, so either be patient, or take a fucking road trip!”

GWAR SET TO RESUME REIGN OF TERROR WITH 13TH STUDIO RELEASE, “BATTLE MAXIMUS”

Entire Maximus clan turns out in a musical “tour de force” to honor their immortal brethren, the legendary Flattus Maximus.

Antarctic rock gods GWAR are set to return to the realms of man and reclaim their vice-like grip on the throat of hard-rock humanity after spending the last year-and-a-half working on their follow-up to 2011’s critically acclaimed Bloody Pit of Horror. The new recording,Battle Maximus is GWAR‘s first full-length studio effort since the loss of their longtime guitar player, Flattus Maximus, and is set to hit the streets on September 17th on Metal Blade Records. Check out the first track, “Madness at the Core of Time” and pre-order Battle Maximus HERE.

“This album is both a tribute to Flattus and a telling of the next chapter in the story ofGWAR,” said warty front-thing Oderus Urungus. “The combo of the brand new album and show should satisfy even the most hardcore Flattus devotee with the fact that GWAR‘s slay-skills are as supreme as ever, and the band stands poised to embark on our most earth-shattering world tour yet. We have mourned, we have honored, and now it’s time to fucking DEVASTATE in the name of Flattus and the supreme entity that is GWAR.”

Oderus continued…”This is our first record in our brand-new Slave Pit Studios, which Flattus had a lead role in designing, but without him we had no one left to twiddle the buttons, much less play the blazing metal leads and provide the musical direction that rescued GWAR from the depths of clown-band obscurity. I mean, Balsac is no slouch, but Flattus’ departure left a huge hole in our band. We had no choice. We had to blow the Horn of Hate…”

The Horn of Hate is an ancient Slave Pit contraption that summons all the Scumdogs in the Universe in the unlikely event that one of them is killed in battle, disintegrated, or becomes a Mormon. As the cosmic tones echoed throughout the universe (which unfortunately sounds like a giant duck-fart), the Maximus tribe answered the call by traveling to Earth to wage the mighty “Battle Maximus”, a musical trial-by-combat for the right to follow in the footsteps of Flattus. When the dust had settled, but one Scumdog remained standing…the zit-encrusted and undeniably shred-tastic Pustulus Maximus.

“It is a highlight of my corpse-littered life to join my Scumdog brothers and continue the legendary legacy of the Maximus clan,” said new GWAR-tarist, Pustulus Maximus. “I am not so happy that Oderus vandalized my space-ship, effectively marooning me on Earth, but fuck it…it’s time to ROCK!”

GWAR‘s Battle Maximus features twelve brand new tracks that not only honor their departed ally, but tells the story of GWAR‘s latest struggle against what may be their greatest enemy yet…the insidious “Mr.

“If anyone is gonna destroy the human race, it’s gonna be us…so get ready for the most epic struggle yet. Battle Maximus is destined to further solidify GWAR‘s place as the masters of Earth and Man, and no time-travelling demonic despot is going to change that, even if we have to kick his ass in every venue from the most puke-smeared club to the most illustrious festival stages worldwide,” said Oderus. “The new show is going to feature Mr. Perfect eating his own ass nightly, as well as GWAR torturing the most annoying figures in the world of entertainment, politics, and religion. Prepare yourselves for the most awesome chapter in GWAR‘s blood-soaked history yet. Hail Flattus!”

BRUTAL GWAR B-Q & BREW w/ ODERUS URUNGUS ANNOUNCED FOR AUGUST 3rd IN TAMPA, FL

Everyone’s favorite alien overlord and lead-throat thing of GWAR, Oderus Urungus, will take a brief break from his arctic slumber to get “fucked up with the fans” for the debut of the “GWAR-B-Q Beer”.  The beer was created from a recipe by Rob Chalmers especially for the upcoming GWAR-B-Q (August 17th in Richmond,VA).  But as a special treat for the fans Oderus himself will be travelling (via bat-shaped helicopter, of course…) to Ybor City, Florida to officially debut the brand-new, mind-altering product.

“This is another milestone on the road leading to the GWAR-B-Q, the new GWAR album, and the brand-new GWAR show we will be putting on tour this fall,” said the hardest-partying front-creature in rock. “I am looking forward to meeting with the fans, getting incredibly wasted, and then vomiting all over them. Then we will sell that!”

The event, which is presented by GWAR, Cigar City Brewing, Crowbar Live and DMD will feature free samples of the all new “GWAR B-Q Beer” as well as Brutal Burgers topped with GWAR-B-Q Sauce.

Check out the new GWAR Beer commercial HERE!

“Next product? GWAR meat!” said Oderus.

Admission to the event is five dollars at the door.  The first fifty fans wearing GWARgear or attire will be admitted free.  In addition to the guzzling and the gorging, the event will also feature live music from GWAR ATTACK, (GWAR cover band), American Fix, Black Tides Roll and Doom Wolf.  The event is 18 and up.  For more details the event page can be visited HERE.

As Oderus mentioned, this crazed event is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what is being called (by us) the “Slave-Pit Summer”.  The main event, of course, is the 4th Annual GWAR-B-Q, presented by Ring-Dog Rescue and Slave Pit Inc., and backed up by the fine folks at Brown’s Distributing. This is slated to take place Saturday August 17th in Richmond, VA at Hadad’s Lake Water Park.  With acts like GWAR, Municipal Waste, Corrosion of Conformity, Pig Destroyer, and the re-union of the legendary X-Cops, this years’ bill is possibly the greatest yet assembled in the blood-spattered history of GWAR’s ever-expanding festival.  Additional events include the “B4-B-Q” and the “GWA-fter Party” and you can get all the info and ticketing information at http://www.gwarbq.com.

Finally, in other GWAR news, the band is getting ready to spill the beans on many details regarding their eagerly anticipated new record and show, which will be released in early fall.  This album is the first to feature new guitarist Pustulus Maximus, who travelled through space and time to lay claim to the crown left behind by departed Scumdog immortal, Flattus Maximus.  More details including artwork, tracklisting and the first song from the album will be unveiled in the coming weeks.  A huge fall headline tour is in the works as well; so get ready for the return of the most outrageous band in rock and roll history.

“There is much more I could say, but I have to get back to my drinking”, belched Oderus into the ass of a drunken carrier- pigeon.

NEW DETAILS EMERGE REGARDING THIS YEAR’S GWAR-B-Q, THE SPEW-O-LYMPICS, AND MUCH MORE

Slave Pit Inc., creators of GWAR and a slew of other naughty products, today announced new details regarding the summer’s most eagerly anticipated entertainment apocalypse, the 4th annualGWAR-B-Q, to be held August 17th at Hadad’s Water Park in Richmond, Va. Attendees can now add not one but TWO new social events to be held the same weekend as the GWAR-B-Q– the “B4-B-Q” (to be held the night before at The Canal Club), and the “GWA-fter Party” (after the GWAR-B-Q, for those of you who are morons). In addition, the directors of GWAR’s coveted “Spew-O-Lympics”, a centerpiece event of every GWAR-B-Q, released a statement regarding this year’s event and the incredible prize package some lucky Spew-lympian will ultimately attain. A full feast of fun awaits the teeming masses as Richmond prepares for the most action-packed weekend in the glorious history of the GWAR-B-Q!

On Friday, Aug.16th, the festivities begin with the “B4-B-Q”, a power-packed line-up of brutal bands to be held at Richmond’s venerated Canal Club, which for the last two years has hosted the Cory Smoot Memorial Show. Admission is FREE to any GWAR-B-Q ticket holder, so be sure to bring a copy of your ticket, or a receipt, or the actual ticket (if you are an idiot). Check the“B4-B-Q” event page on the official GWAR Facebook page for more information.

Hosted by the personal Slaves of Oderus and Balsac, Dave Brockie and Mike Derks, doors open at 7 and the line-up consists of, in no particular order:

Apocalypse Dudes / RVA

U.S. Bastards / RVA

Savage Attack / RVA

Bloody Crackdown / RVA

Red Box Money Cult / Roanoke

Rong / Wilmington

Stuck Backwards / Norfolk

With acts like GWAR, Municipal Waste, Corrosion of Conformity, Pig Destroyer, and the re-union of the legendary X-Cops, this years’ bill is possibly the greatest yet assembled in the blood-spattered history of GWAR‘s ever-expanding festival. So this year’s Spew-O-Lympics intends to match this majesty with the most epic contest yet conceived, with events scheduled to include the “King of the Swing”, “Beware of the Blob”, with the climactic battle for supremacy (and valuable prizes) waged on the  “Sperm and Slide”. This years contest will be limited to a lucky 25 entrants, who must sign-up in advance via GWAR’s Facebook page. Look for more details on the officialGWAR Facebook page .

And if that’s not enough filthy fun for you, the fine folks at Slave Pit have scheduled one last event that should satiate even the most unappeasable bohab’s desire to bask in the dubious glory of all things GWAR–the “GWA-fter Party”. Held on Saturday, August 17th at Balliceaux, in Richmond, VA., and hosted by the internationally matchless D.J.Pari, the event is free not only toGWAR-B-Q ticket holders but also everybody else in the entire world. Doors are at ten, and look for more information at the “GWA-fter Party” events page on the official GWAR Facebook page/

New “GWAR-B-Q” Commercial Released

Tickets to Go On Sale on June 6th

GWAR-B-Q 2013 Commercial
GWAR-B-Q 2013 Commercial
In keeping with the tradition of past GWAR-B-Q’s, Slave Pit Inc. today released their latest commercial hyping what will certainly go down in history as the greatest GWAR-B-Q yet, presented once again by the Slave Pit and sponsored by Ring Dog Rescue. With tickets scheduled to go on sale in two weeks, the countdown is on for the most decadent, delicious, and downright depraved social event for mutant miscreants in the history of this mud-ball planet! Check out the cinematic masterpiece HERE, directed by the same Slave responsible for the last two GWAR-B-Q commercials.

Tickets for this barbaric extravaganza will be available June 6th at www.gwarbq.com, and come in three different versions…

But wait! Before you buy your tickets, check out the “Win It Before You Can Buy It” contest on local Richmond radio station 102.1 the X, airing June 3rd-7th. Listen for your chance to win tickets which grant you full access to the GWAR-B-Q, “Meat and Beat”, the “B4BQ”, and the “GWAFTER PARTY EVENT”, plus the chance to become GWAR’s “Slave for a Day”, which could entail duties as critically important as draining the pus from Pustulus’ scabby leg-enders, to sitting around backstage in everybody’s way while getting completely hammered until you are thrown into a trash dumpster. What fun!

Standard Ticket – $30: All Day Event Entry – all the bands, all the fun, all the flailing! Completely free for the low price of 30 bucks!

Deluxe Ticket – $40:All Day Event Entry – all the fun, farts, and flailing, as well as an “official” 2013 GWAR-B-Q T-shirt, actually rubbed on Beefcake’s ass at one point or another.

Premium Ticket – $100: All Day Event Entry, Official GWAR-B-Q T-shirt, GWAR-B-Q2012 DVD, (see if you can find yourself throwing up) and an exclusive laminate VIP Pass for the “Meat & Beat” signing, where you can meet and hang out with the band, take photos to your hearts delight, and watch in horror as your hot or not hot girlfriend is dragged all too willingly into the special “Abyss of Abuse”, to be sullied in ways unthinkable. This ticket also includes free admission to the “B4BQ“, and the GWAFTER PARTY EVENT, where you can hang with the band and the artists of GWAR in a rare out of costume experience.  More details will be announced in the coming weeks. You will also have the chance to win an opportunity to appear on stage with GWAR, and be ground into pulp in our gore-choked meat grinder.

For those of you who were just born, or simply didn’t give a shit (which is practically unthinkable!), the GWAR-B-Q is GWAR’s annual summer slaughter-fest presenting some of the heaviest, most awesome bands the metal and punk scenes has to offer. Stemming from it’s original roots as a semi-annual party, the event has grown every year in the scope of its majesty, and this year promises to be the most incredible one yet, with a lineup that includes such heavyweights as Richmond hometown heroes Municipal Waste, the legendary Corrosion of Conformity, the aural devastation of Pig Destroyer, and a very special reunion of the infamous X-Cops, who are coming out of hiding after a 17-year hiatus spent running meth labs in Ecuador (and a host of other naughty things).  All the original members shall reunite for the GWAR-B-Q to open for the mightyGWAR.

“Just because we have all of the original members doesn’t mean the band hasn’t been progressing,,” said Cobb Knobbler, the X-Cops gay, satanic, Nazi bass player,. “I for one have been exploring the world of drug dog law enforcement…not handling the animals, but actually becoming one, through a series of extremely painful and expensive surgical procedures…the results of which I plan on unveiling at the actual GWAR-B-Q., giving me the legal right to ravage your genitals in search of cocaine!”

At this point the lineup for the days entertainment has been finalized, and two stages will barely be enough to present the enormous rock and rock spectacle that Slave Pit and Ring-Dog Rescue (http://ringdogrescue.org)shall present. The set times have yet to be finalized, but it should run something like this…

GWAR

Municipal Waste

Corrosion of Conformity

Pig Destroyer

Cannabis Corpse

Loincloth

X-Cops

Warbeast

Battlecross

Wilson

Mobile Death Camp

Volture

Kung-Fu Dykes

And if that’s not enough, there is plenty more filthy fun to overload your senses, leaving bloated, beastly, and completely broke. There will be more meat than ever, and boatloads of GWAR’s new “GWAR-B-Q” sauce to slather all over it, as well as GWAR’s new beer to wash it down your bottomless and gaping feed-hole. Just like last year, the affiar will be held at the only venue capable of handling such a stupendous event — the legendary Hadad’s Water Park…check out the details at http://hadadslake.com/

So get ready to experience the ultimate spectacle of music, meat and mayhem, as the undisputed Masters of Shock Rock prepare to unleash the greatest GWAR-B-Q in the history of this non-stop orgy of sun, fun, meat, murder, music, and straight up MAYHEM! What started years ago as a party for GWAR‘s wretched Slaves has mutated into a bonafide festival that grows every year in the scope of its debauchery.  Come take part in this Barbaric Bacchanalia!

Damn the torpedoes and let slip the dogs of war! Hail GWAR, hail Flattus, and gather with the tribe of GWAR in Richmond, VA on or around Saturday August 17th, 2013. But get there a day early for the “B4BQ” and then get ready for what is certain to go down in history as the greatestGWAR-B-Q yet!

GWAR CONFIRMS DATE AND INITIAL BAND LINEUP FOR 4th ANNUAL GWAR-B-Q

gbq2013posterweb

Antarctic rock-gods GWAR today released the first line-up for this year’s GWAR-B-Q, located at Hadad’s Water Park in Richmond, VA. This year sees the event entering its fourth consecutive year while offering its most bone-crushing line-up yet, setting the stage for what will certainly be the most massive GWAR-B-Q in the history of the human or any other race!

The event is scheduled to take place Saturday August 17th, 2013 at Hadad’s Water Park in Richmond, VA, located at 7900 Osbourne Turnpike. Doors will open at 10:00 AM and the first band will hit the stage at 11:00 AM. For more information be sure to visit: http://gwarbq.com/. Ticket information will be announced shortly.

Local faves and international thrashers Municipal Waste will provide main support to the mighty GWAR, and in turn will be supported by a plethora of devastating acts like Corrosion of ConformityPig Destroyer,Cannabis CorpseLoinclothKung-Fu Dykes and many more. Once again Hadad’s will host not one but TWO stages which will be packed with bands all day…and finally there are rumors of a yet-to-be-announced act that will put this year’s GWAR-B-Q 2013 completely over the top!

“Once again we blow the horn of war and set into motion the gears that grind us towards the greatest GWAR-B-Q yet,” said unrepentantly horny front-thing Oderus Urungus, fresh off debuting GWAR‘s new “GWAR-B-Q” sauce at a strongly attended event at the world-famous Grinders in Kansas City (see more details HERE). “We will not only be rockin’ like Dokken and slippin’ the cock in, but we will shoving a wealth of GWARproducts down your throat…not only our new GWAR-B-Q sauce, but our very own beer, Impaled Ale! Eat and drink yourself into a diabetic stupor, then puke it all up in the slam pit! It’s gonna fucking rule!”

That’s right, the 4th annual GWAR-B-Q is poised to make yet another stinky mess in the crotch of today’s scene–BE THERE OR SUFFER THE SHAME OF BEING INCREDIBLY PATHETIC!

In other Slave Pit news GWAR is wrapping up a new album, their 13th, which is the band’s first since the passing of longtime guitarist Cory Smoot in late 2011. Coming out later this year, the album features the debut of Pustulus Maximus, cousin of the mighty departed one, Flattus Maximus. The band kicks off their tour tonight in Tucson, AZ and will be on the road through April 25th in Jacksonville, FL. These dates will serve as the final leg of the “Fate or Chaos” tour, which chronicles GWAR‘s epic struggle with an angry God.

Slave Pit “GWARtist” Announces Print Line

The man behind the mask of Oderus Urungus, Dave Brockie, today unveiled a new web-store where fans can buy limited-edition, high quality art prints of not only Brockie’s GWAR drawings, but many of his other illustrations. Culled from select images spanning a 30-year career as an artist and illustrator, these highly-collectable prints are now available to the public. Check outwww.theartofdavebrockie.com

brockieprintart

“For years I have been doing custom paintings and drawings for people and I have gotten so far behind that I constantly have to turn down people looking to get some of my work. A high-quality print line web store will give everybody a chance to have a Brockie on their wall.” said the artist from GWAR‘s “Slave Pit”, their Richmond studio.

Dave Brockie is to many a footnote to the name most people know him by–that of Oderus Urungus, foul-mouthed alien barbarian and longtime lead singer of GWAR, the world’s foremost horror-rock spectacle. GWAR‘s legendary live shows and relentless work-ethic have earned the group of artists and musicians from Richmond, Va. an international reputation as the cutting-edge of outrageous, “Grand Guignol”-style metal theater, and won them legions of fans worldwide. In the course of the groups 25+ year-long career Brockie, as President of Slave Pit Inc., GWAR‘s parent production company, has consistently spearheaded the groups efforts, not only as the bands lead singer and public mouthpiece, but also as an artist involved in many of GWAR‘s graphic projects.

Brockie continued on like the blowhard that he is. “I actually graduated art school even though I knew it was no guarantee of employment. Nevertheless I deluded myself that I was going to become a fine artist and was painting these giant squiggly blob paintings that actually looked pretty cool, but were never going to pay the bills. I worked construction and knocked over liquor stores to do that. But I was also into comics and illustration and when GWAR started to happen it gave me a great venue for my work. Suddenly I was being called upon to do flyers, t-shirts, comics…even album covers. That turned into a 25+ year stretch where I was always making art of some kind. It’s about damn time I had my own print line!”

The prints are signed and numbered by the artist and are part of a limited edition of 1000 per image. The prints use the highest quality paper and inks, and are mounted on a piece of masonite that features a custom-made 3-D frame that is a throwback to Brockie’s early “squiggle” paintings.

“I hope this is a big success,” said Brockie. “I am going on a pilgrimage to Stalingrad this spring and need money for booze and food. Plus I got kicked in the mouth by a circus-mule and need extensive dental-work. “After I get this print site going, I plan to disappear. It is time for GWAR.
The band has a run of shows scheduled for this April, which are the last stops of the “Fate or Chaos” tour, which chronicles GWAR‘s epic struggle with an angry God. It has been rumored that GWAR will be testing out songs from the new album on these dates.

“Yes! We Will!” confirmed Oderus.

The band is also venturing into the culinary arts with a signature “GWAR-B-Q” sauce, which they will be debuting at a colossal “Meat & Meet” to be held at the world famous “Grinders” in Kansas City on Monday April 8th from 4-6 PM.

August will see the fourth annual GWAR-B-Q, the group’s annual outdoor music and meat-fest which is getting more massive every year. The new album’s release follows soon after, and then the band will embark on a mega-huge world tour that will continue well into 2014. Antarctic metal monsters GWAR are kicking off their spring run of dates with a special “Meat and Meet” at the world-famous Grinders in Kansas City, Mo. The “Meat and Meet” is scheduled for Monday April 8thfrom 6-8 PM.

This event is not only for GWAR to drink and eat themselves into a bloated coma with their legions of slavering fans, but to announce and introduce their brand-new and 100% edible “GWAR-B-Q” sauce, personally created for human consumption by none other than GWAR‘s steel-faced guitar player, Balsac, the Jaws of Death.

“This new taste sensation is mostly made out of the blood of really hot chicks”, explained the surprisingly cordial space-barbarian. “It was a terrible waste of fine ass, but ultimately worth it because this sauce is absolutely delicious!”

GWAR will be kicking off the second leg of the “Fate or Chaos” tour is scheduled to kick off April 10th in Tucson, AZ and will run through April 25th in Jacksonville, Florida. Support on the tour will come from Warbeast and Wilson. All dates can be found below.

The summer will also herald the fourth annual GWAR-B-Q, and this year is shaping-up to have the most colossal, bone-crushing line-up yet! But that’s not all from your toxic mutant under-lords. Rumors of boxed sets, GWAR-B-Q sauce, GWAR beer, and long-awaited “comedy” albums abound. Further details about all of these projects would have to wait until “we get our shit together”, said Oderus.

WILSON to Embark on North American Tour With GWAR and Warbeast

The growl of chain saws making firewood of fifty foot pines. That’s WILSON. The howling of a pack of wolves battling a rabid moose. That’s WILSON. The panting, gasping breaths of a smoke break “nooner”. That’s fucking WILSON. The citation for a noise violation… that’s just where the party begins. If all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, then all party and no bullshit have made WILSON juggernauts. For the past few years WILSON has transformed shows into parties, and concerts into riots throughout the Midwest. WILSON has not only held their own, but raised the bar for how much fun live music can be.

Now WILSON is ready to take their party to the road, heading out on the “Fate or Chaos” North American tour with Mutant Overlords GWAR and Warbeast. The tour is set to kick off April 10th in Tucson, AZ and will run through April 25th in Jacksonville, FL. Tickets for all the dates are on sale now.

Chad Nicefield Vocalist/Weirdo Beardo commented on the upcoming “Fate or Chaos” tour:

“We are extremely excited and honored to be supporting the legendary GWAR this April!WILSON cannot wait for all the fuckery to unveil itself on the road with these scumdogs!”

Five dudes growing up in Michigan’s post-industrial wasteland, know that when life gives you lemons, buy a bottle of tequila, chug it, and enjoy biting into that sour fruit. You can taste that philosophy in the music. With a brutal rhythm section and fret-board wizardry they bring the best parts of metal into their hook heavy straight up rock n’ roll. Don’t be surprised if you see the gnarliest, glowering dude in the bar start dancing like a first grader on a school picnic once the music starts. Rabid demand from a growing fan base has sold out their debut EP, “Standing on the Reel”. They have a new full-length album coming in 2013, produced by Steve Evetts (Dillinger Escape Plan, Saves the Day, Every Time I Die).

With a new album in the works and relentless tour schedule, whatever you do, don’t go to http://www.wilsonpartyanimals.com/, unless you’re ready to fucking party!
