Anarbor Tour (@Smiling Moose Pittsburgh) 2017: Review and Photos!

The local music scene is highly underrated. There are so many different kinds of bands that fall in this scene and are so talented. If I could tell anyone in this city who loves music anything, it would be to attend small shows and listen to bands and artists that don’t have a lot of likes or followers or listens.
One of those bands whose shows I attend quite often (and shoot all the time) is Vertigo. They are a local pop/rock band who play a ton of local shows. They were first on stage at the Smiling Moose on this cold Saturday evening in Pittsburgh. They are a fun band to shoot because you can tell they love what they’re doing and they get the crowd involved as well. I saw a good amount of people in front of the stage bobbing their heads to the groovy music. Overall, their set was very fun and enjoyable. I highly recommend readers to check them out in the link above.
Next on stage was Baltimore pop/rock band, Skyward Story. The previously named band, 3PM, put on a super fun set. Girls went wild for them. Some came from far and wide just to see them play. They interacted well with their crowd and performed many originals but also did Ed Sheeran‘s “Castle on the Hill”. Overall their set was very fun and I enjoyed every second of it. If boy bands are your thing, go check them out!
Going along with the local band theme, next up was pop/punk band from Pittsburgh, Milly. They were pretty cool. Being in the smaller music scene, I was surprised I hadn’t heard of them before. I thought they were pretty good! The crowd was enjoyed it as well it seemed. So if you’re into the local music scene, go check them out in the link above!
The next band, who was also the band touring with Anarbor, was Sundressed. They describe themselves as “emotive punk”. They surprised me because I expected more a more pop/rock sound considering the bands that played prior to them. But they were pretty good. They seemed really into their performance and got the crowd pumped up. So if you’re into the more “emotive punk” type music, go look them up!
Last but not least, the band we were all waiting for… Anarbor. If you haven’t heard of them, they’re considered alternative rock and they’re amazing. They get super into it and the fans were all over the place. They were dancing, singing along, and just enjoying every second they were there. The band had great interaction and put on a wonderful, upbeat performance. So if you haven’t heard of them, go look them up. I provided links to each band above!
Overall, it was a great night and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Some of the photos are showcased below and the rest are featured here.
