“Windows In Heaven” sees Jardine at her most vulnerable, singing a ballad about her late father. “‘Windows In Heaven’ is a very personal song,” says Jardine, “When someone close to you passes away, after awhile you begin to wonder how they would preserve you if they were still here. In my case, it’s my Dad. One of the happiest and inspiring people I have ever known,” She continues, “My dad was a musician, and he’s always in my head when we’re out reaching these milestones in our band’s career. When we got signed, when we play a big show, I always wish I could call him and tell him about it. We played the main stage at Reading and Leeds and I remember looking up and thinking, ‘Would you be proud of me?’ This song helps remind me who he is to me.”

Weird Kids,” produced by John Feldmann (The Used, Yellowcard, All Time Low, Panic! At The Disco), is WATIC’s follow-up release to their successful debut album, “Best Intentions,”which launched the band into worldwideexposure – debuting at 122 on theBillboard Top 200 and landing the band on the covers of Alternative Press and Kerrang! Magazine. The band garnered over 3 million YouTube views for their “Never Be What You Want (Acoustic)” music video, received a prestigious Kerrang! Awards nomination for Best International Newcomer in 2011, and rocked major festivals like Reading and Leeds and international tours with bands including All Time Low, Mayday Parade, Yellowcard, Never Shout Never and many more. While some bands might be content to rest on the laurels of newfound success, WATIC had no such interest, heading into the studio with more ambition than ever.

In the studio, Feldmann acted as a catalyst, pushing the band to step out of their comfort zone and helping them reach their full creative potential as a band. In addition to the snarky, wit that is characteristic of WATIC, Weird Kids put forth their most diverse material to date – and exposes an intimate, more personal side of Jardine that allows listeners into her world in a way they haven’t been before.

The Poughkeepsie, NY quintet – consisting of lead vocalist Jardine, vocalist/guitarist Jordan Eckes, guitarist Cameron Hurley, bassistMike Ferri and drummer Rob Chianelli – is back after four whirlwind years together with a determination and drive that has turned first-time listeners into diehard fans, with the aid of Jardine’s infectious attitude and spunky, quick-witted personality. She’s got the type of stage presence that drives guys crazy (in a good way) while making girls want to emulate her.

“Windows In Heaven” is the fourth song to be released off We Are The In Crowd’s upcoming album, following “Attention,” “The Best Thing (That Never Happened)” and “Long Live The Kids.” With each new song bringing the anticipation for the full album higher, tastemakers including FUSE have named “Weird Kids” one of their “Most Anticipated Albums” of 2014 and MTV Buzzworthy has coined Jardine as one of the “15 Fresh Females Who Will Rule Pop in 2014.”  Check out the action-packed music video for “The Best Thing (That Never Happened)” directed by Mark Staubach (Lupe Fiasco, Travie McCoy, Cody Simpson) here:http://youtu.be/BFqtasnu7y8.
