January 21st marked the release date of Revelation, the brand new album by Grammy winning “Texican rock ‘n roll” trio Los Lonely Boys. Revelation is being released on LLB’s own LonelyTone imprint, in association with the respected Austin-based indie Playing in Traffic and MRI. The album maintains the infectiously melodic mix of bluesy rock ‘n’ roll and rootsy brown-eyed soul that’s long endeared Los Lonely Boys to its fiercely loyal fan base, and also adds an expansive range of new sonic elements, e.g. the conjunto touches of “Blame It On Love,” the reggae groove of “Give A Little More,” the rustic acoustic textures of “It’s Just My Heart Talkin'” and the baroque pop elements of “There’s Always Tomorrow.”

Allmusic.com’s review of Revelation states “The Texan trio has never been constrained by genre, but here they let their imagination wild, dabbling in every sound or style that’s ever tickled their fancy.” To that end, an eclectic cast of co-writers joins Los Lonely Boys in assembling the dozen new original songs that comprise Revelation, including alt-country icon Radney Foster, in-demand pop tunesmiths Matthew Gerrard andDavid Quiñones, Black-Eyed Peas collaborators George Pajon Jr. and Keith Harris, and Raul Pacheco of Ozomatli.
The long-time road warriors have just recently returned to the stage to promoteRevelation, and the tour will hit the U.S. mainland in early February, hitting a ton of major markets. See below for tour dates.
