Plains
Plains is an exploration of intuitive songwriting, following one motion to another. It’s a sidewalk growing into a zoo. The songs lie in soft melodies projected by raw sounds and wild words. The results aren’t shocking – they’re well understood.
Travis Swinford, the face of Plains, started putting music out in 2009 and since has released 3 EPs, 2 full lengths, and now ‘The New Love Crowd’ alongside artistic confidant Drew Price. His next full length ‘Stone Cloud’ is expected for release in mid December.
Drew Price
Twenty-three year old Birmingham, Alabama native Drew Price is a wholehearted pop artist. His music doesn’t demand anything from you, but it offers everything. Since 2008, he has self-produced three full-length albums that have been distributed and shared for free via the Internet.
He prefers to write and record alone, and his music reflects that. Drew’s music represents the post-Internet era of personality conflict and identity crisis.
After engaging with his music, you will find a genuine understanding of something universally desired: good pop music.
Montevallo, Alabama’s Happenin Records has just released his newest full-length album “Friends and Family”. “F&F” is severely catchy but full of emotion, offering psychedelic interpretations of shoegaze, rock, dream pop, and house. If you give it a listen, you too will find yourself in the midst of an identity crisis.
