Video Featuring First Samples of New Music Available Now
|LIONIZE will be hitting the road beginning December 5th supporting Spacehog and Sponge. LIONIZE will then play two headline shows and select dates supporting Clutch. The band will be playing songs from their upcoming new album as well as LIONIZE favorites. A complete list of dates can be found below.
Singer/Guitarist Nate Bergman spoke about getting back out on tour and showcasing their new material:
“We are really looking forward to getting back on tour, hitting some of our favorite cities and playing these new songs. We are beyond happy to have seen the reaction from fans towards the new material from the last tour, and we are adding even more to the rotation this time around. This is really just the tip of the iceberg for the anticipation towards the release of the new record for 2014.”
It was recently annouced that LIONIZE have signed to Weathermaker Music, the label owned and operated by Maryland rockers Clutch(Distributed by RED). LIONIZE is the first independent artist to sign with Weathermaker Music, a label that has, up until now, served as the exclusive platform for all things CLUTCH and individual band member related side projects. The album was jointly produced by CLUTCH drummer Jean-Paul Gaster and Machine at the Machine Shop and is set for release in the first quarter of 2014.
LIONIZE filmed a series of videos documenting the recording process of their new album. The second video in the series has now been posted atwww.lionizemusic.com and can also be viewed on the LIONIZES’ YouTube Channel HERE. This video features frontman Nate Bergman talking about Jean-Paul Gaster’s (Clutch) involvement in the forthcoming LIONIZE record and how Machine was a “coach” during the recording process. The first video in the series (which can be seen HERE) features Jean-Paul Gaster and Machine as they speak about the recording and production process. Their high praise of LIONIZES‘ skillful song-writing and agile musicality bodes well for this project.
