Hailing from the underground scene in Louisville, Villebillies just released their mesmerizing new single,  “Love Is Kind Of Crazy” through Sony Music Entertainment/RED Associated Labels. “Love Is Kind Of Crazy” features a sample from the late English pop singer Dusty Springfield’s Spooky.”  Villebillies’ sound is marked with a distinctive blend of urban and roots music, with each of the three frontmen (Demi Demaree, Dustin “Tuck” Tucker, and Derek “Child” Monyhan) bringing their own technique and personality to each track. The “Spooky” sample complements the group’s layered style, which ranges from rap verses to soulful harmonies on “Love Is Kind Of Crazy.”

With “Love Is Kind of Crazy,” Villebillies has garnered a swell of hometown support. The single is now being heard in the Louisville market on stations like 98.9 Radio Now (CHR/Pop), and Villebillies were featured on the cover of the The Voice-Tribune newspaper.

Says Dustin “Tuck” Tucker  who produced the track “There is something about Villebillies and the fall season. We always seem to produce our best work this time of year. Dusty Springfield singing those words ‘Love is kind of crazy with a spooky little boy like you’ has an eerie quality to it.  It fits our vibe and it makes your head nod at the same time, so it just made sense to sample and capture the tone of the original song while giving it the traditional Villebillies treatment both musically and visually.”

“Love Is Kind Of Crazy” is available now on all digital service providers:  iTunes | Spotify
