“We like XNY because they’ve got a vibrant sound, a drum beat… guaranteed to kick you out of bed, and a spicy lead singer who makes everything sound a little more suggestive than it probably is.” – NYLON
“…flows from a slow creep to an upbeat jam.” – FILTER
Brooklyn-based rock duo XNY, comprised of Pam Autuori and Jacob Schreiber, has the kind of chemistry that might make other bands jealous. The band recently released their new full-length album, ORANGE, via XNY Music. Produced by The Dresden Dolls’ Brian Viglione, their sophomore LP incorporates all of the elements XNY has become renowned for- a fearless, energetic sound complete with exuberant guitar & drums, racy lyrics and foot-stomping rhythms. ORANGE is now available via iTunes and other prominent digital retailers.
Previously releasing unforgettable break-up anthem “Burn Out” & softer album cut “A Part,” the band today unveils another taste of ORANGE in the form of the deliciously catchy “Ride On.” Opening with a cheeky giggle & Pam’s signature energetic guitar strums, the track instantly builds to a crescendo with Jacob’s toe-tapping beats- coming to a dramatic climax with a passionate, sing-along chorus that implores its listeners to roll with life’s sometimes tough punches. Check out the “Ride On” MP3 where it premiered with CMJ or HERE. The band also reveals their compelling “Rabbit” video, which premiered with Baeble Music and is available HERE. Directed by Pam herself, the up close & personal oeuvre stares you right between the eyes and dares you not to stare back.
The dynamic pair first met over some friendly competition as neighbors in a tiny apartment complex. Pam would spend her time writing & singing, and Jacob would “compete” against her through the wall – mimicking her vocal rhythms & melodies on his drum set. Pam has performed alongside the likes of The Hush Sound, Ryan Cabreraand The Cab. Stay tuned for more from XNY coming soon, including fall tour dates!
