As the world of music expands, different genres are created. In this day and age, the techno genre is beginning to take listeners by storm. The emotion of words are interpreted by the brain very easily, but the tempo of the music in itself gives an incredibly broad spectrum of ways the listener can view what messages the artist is trying to convey. The InFiction crew has mastered the idea of creating emotion with not just words or ideas, but perception. When you listen to and InFiction song or mix, you never know what you are going to get out of it simply because every song and tape is so different. The songs even change course in the middle of them, giving the listener something new and different to experience throughout the entire track. It is virtually impossible to get bored listening to anything by the duo, so be sure to look out for any new songs or mixes they release in the future; they aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.
There are two aspects of the way InFiction ( Doran Oppenheimer and Dan Asma) create their music. First, they create the atmosphere that allows you to take what you want from the music. This gives the audience an open-minded view at how they are feeling at that moment. Most dubstep/techno music artists keep their style the same throughout every song, mix, and album. InFiction however, utilizes differentiating flows within their creations making their form of music truly unique. When you listen to anything by these artists, you don’t want to listen to only one song. Each song is special because it is constantly changing and putting new sounds into their work. If you enjoy different, ever-changing musical sounds with no limit to what can be perceived by your mind, then InFiction is right for you.
Now that the era of the techno/dubstep genre is upon us, we must take a close look at how these innovators do what they do so well. In most music, the emotion and message contained in the song is created by strictly the lyrics, but the duo InFiction has started a movement that utilizes the musical tempo as the main way to portray their message. Time is moving fast, so change is inevitable. InFiction understands that you cannot make it in the music industry if you base your music off of what somebody else did or even what you did in the past, which is why the style in which they create their music is so unique. It is almost as if InFiction has created a whole new genre all on their own, giving them an opportunity to become truly great in the industry. Watch out for what this duo has in store, it seems that InFiction is here to stay and will continue to grow as an artistic force In the music business today.
