Since the release of their debut album Devil’s Messenger earlier this year, THE DEVASTATED has stayed busy on the road playing dates with Fear Factory, Shadows Fall, The Browning and more. Now, the band has teamed up with StuffYouWillHate.com to premiere a new song titled “Grate Minds,” which can be heard here. In addition, THE DEVASTATED will be playing four shows at the end of this month.

The Devastated comments, “Happy Holidays everyone! With what has been an eventful 2012 for The Devastated, we would like to wind down the year with a few exciting announcements. First and foremost, we are very pleased to announce the addition of our new bassist David Sittig (Impending Doom). David has been a close friend of ours for many years and we are proud to have him aboard. With that, we would also like to announce a Holiday mini-tour December 27-30 with Polarization and Wrath of Vesuvius. These will be David’s first shows with The Devastated, so please come out and show some love. On a final note, we would like to leave you with our Latest track ‘Grate Minds’, a B-side recorded during the same time as our debut record ‘Devil’s Messenger.’ Enjoy! You can expect many exciting things from us in the New Year, so keep your eyes and ears open. Have a safe Holiday season and we’ll see you all very soon.”

Outburn Magazine gave Devil’s Messenger a 9 out of 10 rating, saying that “Unlike other bands focusing on groove, The Devastated’s well crafted riffs and songs stay with you, entering your eardrums, gnawing on your gray matter, and leaving an indelible impression,” while Lexington Music Press explained, “What The Devastated have accomplished with Devil’s Messenger is what too many young bands wish to achieve but never measure up.” The music video for “Roof Top Panty Drop” can be seen below along with the music video for the self-titled track “Devil’s Messenger”.
