(story via www.allaxess.com): The Acacia Strain has been forced to bow out of its current co-headlining tour with Veil Of Maya following a, “serious van accident,” which caused the band and crew members minor injuries and the van damage beyond repair.
The accident took place between Lancaster, California and Tucson, Arizona yesterday (Tuesday, November 27).
Although the vehicle flipped over on its back and a large portion of the band’s personal effects littered the highway, no one was seriously injured.
The Acacia Strain issued the following statement to its official Facebook page: “It comes with heavy hearts and sadness to announce that The Acacia Strain will be leaving their Co-Headlining tour with Veil Of Maya due to a serious van accident. Members of the band and crew are being treated for minor injuries, nothing serious.
“Frontman, Vincent Bennet commented, ‘Canceling tour dates is something we hate doing but we will make it up to all of you. We are all very grateful to be alive and will see you in the New Year.’”
The band later posted the following update and an accompanying picture (shown above) on its Facebook page: “As you can see, we will not be able to finish our tour with Veil of Maya. We are very sorry and, again, we will make this up to you all. Please support VEIL OF MAYA, Upon A Burning Body, Volumes, and Twitching Tongues on the rest of the tour.”
