The FAB Rudies are a band like no other, branded as a local institution on the West Coast. The Rudies have held slots on The Vans Warped Tour, and received some amazing press from outlets such as Rolling Stone to Music Connection. But all of this almost didn’t happen, when in 2008, the band broke up. But never the type to give up, the band leader Tom Voris installed his daughter as the new lead. This created the cool, young and fresh vibe that their fans resonate with to this day.

Currently nominated by the Hollywood Music in Media Awards for Best Song in a indie movie, their new cut “It’s My Life” is definitely making waves on the West Coast. The Hollywood Music In Media Awards (HMMA) recognizes and honors the music of visual mediums (film, TV, movie trailers, video games, commercials, music videos, etc.), the talented individuals responsible for creating, producing and placing it, and the music of artists, both mainstream and independent, from around the globe. HMMA is the first music awards event to recognize and honor excellence in
music supervision.

In other news, the movie which features their song, called “Music High” is looking to be picked up by Paramount Pictures. An offer is currently being made, which means this movie could easily become a mainstream success.
