Smoke & Jackal, the side project of Jared Followill from Kings of Leon and Nick Brown from Mona, posted a video today via their fan email. The video was directed and produced by photographer David Black who has worked with the likes of Best Coast, Cat Power and Ryan Adams. Unfortunately, when you click to view the video, YouTube states that the video has been taken down because it violates their policies? Vevo does not seem to have the same problems. Hmm…check it out here and maybe you can figure out why: http://vevo.ly/Pp3k3w

Smoke & Jackal have recorded an EP entitled,EP1 and it is a 6-track collection of songs that Jared and Nick began recording in Nashville earlier this year, fueled by multiple bottles of red wine and a shared fascination with timbre, rhythm, and aural adventure.

EP1 will be available on October 16th.
