The Bros. Landreth @ Thunderbird Music Hall, Oct. 16th

The Bros. Landreth will release their sophomore album ’87, Sept. 27th via Birthday Cake/The Orchard, performing at the Thunderbird Music Hall on Oct. 16th.  The Winnipeg brothers, Joey & Dave, premiered a new single, “Good Love”, last week via Billboard, who called it, “impeccable songwriting with ear-grabbing guitar riffs, infectious percussion, and distinct harmonies.”  First single, “Got To Be You” was featured in Rolling Stone’s ’10 Best Country Songs This Week’, stating “Joey Landreth is on fire… matching his chops on slide guitar with a voice that’s as big as John Hiatt’s.”
The follow up their acclaimed 2015 debut, Let It Lie and Joey’s 2017 solo LP, Whiskey’87 is an exciting evolution of the band’s sound, honed by thousands of hours on stage and filtered through the past few years on the road.  Teaming up with drummer Ryan Voth, guitarist Ariel Posen and longtime producer Murray Pulver, the journey to ’87 took some unexpected turns, but the time apart, while Joey pursued his solo material, ultimately reaffirmed the two brother’s earnest desire to make music together – the album title a nod to the real beginning of the band… the year they became brothers. Let It Lie garnered praise from Rolling Stone who praised the band’s “quiet storm of slide guitar solos, blue notes, three-part harmonies,” along with Premiere Guitar, Relix, CMT, Billboard, No Depression & American Songwriter.  While one of the brother’s musical heroes, Bonnie Raitt stated of their live performance, “I haven’t liked a band as much as The Bros. Landreth in a long time.  To hear this kind of funky, southern style rock played with such originality and soul will knock you out.”
