Vanessa Silberman and Carissa Johnson kick off the Hearts and Crowns Tour on November 24th at Hambones in Pittsburgh.

Vanessa’s live show is pretty raw drawing comparisons to the Pretenders, the Ramones, Nirvana, Patti Smith & Neil Young. Vanessa’s performed over 330 shows in the last 2 years! She recently wrapped up a west coast trek with Reed Mullin of Corrosion of Conformity.  Vanessa Silberman (LA national Rock touring singer / guitarist) & Carissa Johnson (Boston Rock artist) are teaming up for “The Hearts & Crowns Tour” (review tix available), the most badass rock tour of the fall!

Vanessa will be performing varied solo electric sets (with special guests!) and Carissa will be performing acoustic and full band sets.

About Carissa Johnson:
Carissa Johnson is addicted to playing rock and roll. The kind of sweaty, turbulent, in-your-face, post punk rock that makes uptight peopfyuuuvle squeamish and uncomfortable. Hailing from Boston MA, rock artist Carissa Johnson has proven to leave her mark and she is just getting started. With a debut full-length album winning “Album of the Year” by the Limelight Music Awards and a nomination for “Best Punk Act” by the Worcester Music Awards in 2016, Johnson continues to push ahead, writing and producing enthusiastically honest songs. With influences evident in her songs, her sound pays tribute to seventies punk and new wave, yet remains authentically her own. Johnson is known for her straight-forward lyrics and her driving, four on the floor melodies, her “heartening anthemic rock” stands out among her contemporaries. In April of 2017 she won Boston’s legendary 38th annual Rock and Roll Rumble. Determined to share her music with the world, she continues to book her own tours and play shows throughout the country – with or without a band, in support of her sophomore release, Only Roses (2016).
