SPECIAL POP UP SHOP OPENS TOMORROW ON FAIRFAX AVE

SOLD OUT SHOWS THIS WEEKEND AT THE LOS ANGELES CONVENTION CENTER AND HOLLYWOOD PALLADIUM

LOS ANGELES, CA – May 2, 2016 – Multi Grammy® nominated world-renowned singer, songwriter, and music producer Kaskade kicks off his week-long takeover of Los Angeles tomorrow with the opening of a special Pop Up Shop that will host performances from local DJs and feature exclusive Kaskade merchandise and photography from Mark Owens. The Pop Up Shop is located at 410 N. Fairfax Ave and will be open every day through Saturday, May 7th between 12:00p – 8:00p. True to Kaskade form, fans should expect the man himself to stop by the store throughout the week.
To kick off the weekend, Kaskade will perform an intimate concert at the Hollywood Palladium on Friday, May 6th. In contrast to the massive visual spectacle of a typical Kaskade show, the concert will be a stripped-down “Redux” performance. Inspired by simplicity and his roots in the House Music club scene, Kaskade developed the concept around the ten year anniversary of his album It’s You, It’s Me. The show sold out in less than four minutes.
The following day, Saturday, May 7th, Kaskade will perform at the Los Angeles Convention Center. This show will be Kaskade’s largest solo headlining date of his career, and the first dance music event to take place in the Convention Center’s 45-year history. Dubbed #KaskadeLA by fans on social media and produced by Insomniac, tickets for this 20K+ capacity event blew all expectations away by selling out within minutes after going live online.

Kaskade’s heralded ninth album Automatic was released by Arkade/Warner Bros. Records on September 25, 2015, leading Rolling Stone to proclaim, “Kaskade represents an intensely positive side of dance-music culture”. Last week Kaskade and CID released remixes and a new music video for their song “Us”. To watch the music video now, click HERE.

ABOUT KASKADE
Grammy nominated American recording artist, DJ, and producer Kaskade has remained at the forefront of the dance music world for more than a decade.  Creating a career of unprecedented milestones, Kaskade is the first U.S. DJ to secure a Las Vegas residency, the first solo electronic dance artist to sell-out Barclays Center, as well as the first dance artist to sell-out Navy Pier and the Staples Center. Just as comfortable playing packed clubs deep into the night as he is headlining the major festivals around the world, 2015 marked Kaskade’s return to the iconic two-weekend Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, where his main stage appearance drew the two largest crowds in the storied sixteen-year existence of the festival.  Taking nothing away from his legendary live shows, Kaskade has always maintained that it’s the songwriting that comes first, and his nine artist albums and five Grammy nominations back up that claim. Kaskade’s latest album Automatic was released in Fall of 2015 and has been streamed over 44.4M times on Spotify since release.
