Named one of Alternative Press’ “100 Bands to Watch,” The Indecent have been featured in Rolling Stone, Nylon Magazine, NME, PureVolume, and have drawn comparisons from icons like Nirvana to proto-punk acts like Patti Smith. Born and raised in New York City, triplets Emily, Bo and Maddy Brout were influenced by the sounds of Sonic Youth, Black Sabbath and Jefferson Airplane from an early age. The Brouts discovered guitars at the age of eight and started writing songs as a hobby, eventually becoming The Indecent when producer/A&R Tim Sommer—who helped develop acts like the Beastie Boys and Maroon 5—paired them up with drummer Nick Burrows. Pittsburgh Music Magazine had a chance to sit down with the four of them when they stopped for the Warped Tour and you can listen here…The Indecent (click once and then click attachment)
