About the Video: “Move On 2.0” is the second single off MC Bravado’s “The Darwin Files” mixtape ( a 25 song free DL available via MCBravado.Bandcamp.com ). The video for the track was shot and directed by Andrew Bryan of “Fill in the Brand”, who used video reinforcement to highlight some of the many references used by MC Bravado in the song. True lyricism is a lost art and MC B has it in spades; “Move On 2.0” helps provide the visual evidence that will coax listeners that aren’t in the know to approach stomaching his tunes with a heightened attention to detail. Bravado himself boldly underlines the point in a blunt and snarky manner: “Shouts to Mac Lethal, this ain’t Mac Miller, cuz I lack filler.” |

MC Bravado hails from Orange County NY and began rhyming in freestyle sessions at 16. He began to pursue hip hop seriously after freestyle battling and disposing of far more seasoned opponents without much difficulty. Bravado is a proud member of the Cypher Junkies crew (named the Hudson Valley’s 2011 “hip-hop artists of the year” by the Times Herald Record Newspaper) and is known for punchlines of impeccable wit, varied cadence, intricate rhyme schemes, and an infectious flow. Legal and financial troubles stifled his productivity for a time, but he has since returned with a new vigor. In 2011, he released a free, joint EP with a fellow Triple 8 Music representative, Marc Beatz; their EP was called “System Update” (It featured artists such as the substantially buzzing Dylan Owen, and Triple 8 MCs Fonte Cruise and Josh Mitchell.) and is a free download available on MC Bravado’s Bandcamp page. His debut album, “The Illy-ad”, came in early 2012 and received press from globally respected hip-hop blogs; “2DopeBoyz” and “Fashionably Early,” were among the many online music outlets to support the release from the native New Yorker. Songs off the album also received heavy national spins on college radio, largely thanks to guest work from underground legends such as Mac Lethal and Copywrite. His debut LP also had features and production from up and comers such as KONCEPT of the Brown Bag All-Stars, EP of the Doppelgangaz, DJ Corbett, Kajmir Royale, David Hodges, and more. “The Illy-ad” remains available, physically or digitally, on CDBaby, iTunes, Amazon, and Rhapsody, in addition to just about anywhere you can purchase music online. MC B was also featured on 2 recent volumes of the famed “Coast2Coast Mixtape” series and was invited to perform at a “Coast2Coast” event at the legendary Webster Hall in NYC.
