Playing Select Cities Through The Summer
Watch Live Performance HERE
“I saw Mother Falcon as many times as I possibly could during SXSW and was utterly blown away by their musicianship and creativity. I can’t wait to see what they bring to Joe’s Pub this summer in collaboration with master artists from a variety of genres through our Symphonic Sundays residency. New York City is about to be introduced to a huge new talent in Mother Falcon.” – Shanta Thake, Director of Joe’s Pub
Beginning this weekend on Sunday June 2nd, the symphonic indie rock band Mother Falcon will be leaving their hometown of Austin, TX to begin a month of residencies in the New York City area.
Throughout the month of June Mother Falcon will be performing every Sunday night at Joe’s Pub in Manhattan and every Tuesday at Littlefield in Brooklyn. The June 30th show at Joe’s Pub and the June 25th show at Littlefield will see a special performance, as the band will be performing Radiohead’s OK Computer in its entirety.
It is clear that this is a band that thrives in their live performances, as they were even cited and as one of Bob Boilen’s “15 Essential Moments From SXSW 2013” and Stephen Thompson dubbed the group his “favorite young band of the festival’s opening night.” The group – which boasts three cellos, six violins, horns a plenty, several pianos, a bassoon and a glockenspiel – has developed a cult following in their native Austin, receiving as many accolades for their innovative film scoring as for their electric live rock club performances.
