RIPELY PINE OUT NOW ON BA DA BING
Lady Lamb the Beekeeper (aka 23 year-old Maine-bred, Brooklyn-based Aly Spaltro) kicks off her spring East Coast and Midwest tour in support of debut album, Ripely Pine, this week. She’ll play guitar and sing, and will be joined by labelmate Xenia Rubinos (keys), plus Marco Buccelli(drums), and TJ Metcalfe (bass). Then, she heads directly overseas for a run of solo dates withNeko Case, and shortly following, straight into her first West Coast/Southwest tour in support ofRipely Pine. She’ll co-headline with Torres out west and then do a support tour with Thao & the Get Down Stay Down. Lady Lamb the Beekeeper is wonderful on record, but to truly understand what this special young musician is all about, we highly recommend her live show! She is a commanding and powerful performer. The live presentation of her songs is unhinged and unadorned as she fiercely plays her guitar and sings cinematic lyrics, careening from hums to screams within seconds with melodies that run rampant, all the while maintaining artistic-control.
