WHEN SAINTS GO MACHINE’S INFINITY POOL OUT MAY 28 ON !K7
When Saints Go Machine‘s Infinity Pool is an album born out of an atmosphere of chaos, showing the Copenhagen four-piece — Nikolaj Manuel Vonsild (vocals), Jonas Kenton(keyboard), Simon Muschinsky (keyboards), and Silas Moldenhawer (drums) — operating outside of their comfort zone. It’s harder, darker, slower and more synthetic than their debut, Konkylie, yet it still retains that signature When Saints Go Machine longing feeling, the glue that holds the album together.
On their debut, When Saints Go Machine tried to make machines simulate nature, whereas onInfinity Pool, the band is trying to capture a feeling of the absurdity of mankind trying to construct nature. It is more unapologetically electronic than any of the band’s previous work and, as with their debut, most of their productions consist of several layers in each song. They tried to make each layer sound immediate and simple, whereas on Konkylie, it sometimes felt as though each layer was fighting to get the most attention.
After releasing the video for Infinity Pool‘s first single, “Love and Respect” feat. Killer Mike, the band is sharing remixes by Teengirl Fantasy and Copenhagen’s Unkwon (aka Anders Dixen, DixOne). Check out both below.

“This inside out version of ‘Love and Respect’ is a house banger in every sense of the word, filled with odd twists and synth pileups to create an infectious whole.” – XLR8R
