The muggy haze of the AXIS:SOVA sound is pollinated by nomadic guitar tones, accompanied by a Roland TR-66 Rhythm Arranger. Described as “beautifully junky, skewed surf-rock as projected through a rust belt prism, complete with hummable hooks and scorching guitar pyrotechnics… eerie and beautiful, dark and buoyant” (The Decibel Tolls/Adhoc), with “intangible sounds and textures rippling throughout cosmic lullabies” (Time Out Chicago), AXIS:SOVA is the nom de plume of guitarist Brett Sova. Weight Of A Color is the recently released debut LP from this solo jammer, just out on Kill Shaman Records, but this tour celebrates the release of “Past The Edge,” a brand new 7″ on Richie Records // TestosterTunes.
