Jersey Calling was created to keep attention on New Jersey in these trying times, while raising money and awareness for the organizations that support their neighbors. As the nation moves on from recovery news stories in the months after hurricane Sandy, thousands of NJ residents still struggle to crawl from the wreckage. Jersey Calling sets out to make sure that New Jersey get the attention and help it needs to recover.

Helping Hands of New Jersey formed to assist NJ families in rebuilding their homes, who would otherwise be unable to, in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. All monetary donations are used to purchase building materials, while labor/services are donated and supplemented with volunteering. The organization also supplies NJ shelters with food, clothing, personal hygiene products, and other items. The group also conducts toy drives, collects home furniture, assists in animal rescue missions, and other recovery-related tasks. Helping Hands of New Jersey is just getting started, and will continue to operate after it fulfills the needs of storm victims in future times of need.
