WILSON Announces Tour Dates With F**k Face Unstoppable

WILSON has just finished what was quite possibly their most debaucherous tour to date, and these dudes have no plans on stopping any time soon.  That being said the non-stop party will continue with a headline date on November 1st in Big Rapids, MI. Then at the end of November WILSON will hit the road with Bam Margera’s Fuck Face Unstoppable.  The Fuck Face Unstoppable tour kicks off November 30th in Peoria, IL and runs through December 18th in Montreal, QUE.  That’s not it though; this December the WILSON boys will be playing a special holiday show with fellow Detroit Metallers Battlecross.

Frontman Chad Nicefield checked in with an update on the band’s upcoming plans:
“After obliterating our minds and bodies with the spirits (the boozy kind) of what was almost the ENTIRE U.S of A over the past two months, we are excited to announce this next run of the gamut for WILSON.

We expect to not only smear our rock and roll feces all over the face of Canada, but are beyond excited to spend this captivating period of time with the likes of Mr. Margera and crew! We even get to spend a few days celebrating the holidays with our dear fellow Detroiters Battlecross! (FUCK YEA!)

We want you to fully expect WILSON to leave it all on stage every night. Nothing will stop the fuckery, nothing CAN stop the fuckery! Not even sub-zero temps, the mountains of the West or any wussy snow or ice that may try and stick it’s boner in our spokes.

So HO HO HO mother fuckers, WILSON has a bag of shit hawks to send flying in each of your towns!”

The Fuckery will be taking to the high seas next year as WILSON will be taking part in the “Shiprocked” Cruise set for January 26th – 30th 2014.  The band will appear alongside Five Finger Death Punch, Papa Roach and many others.  For more information and to book a spot, visit the official site HERE.

WILSON‘s video for “College Gangbang” can be seen HERE.

WILSON are five dudes in a van with beards and big dicks- working harder than your parents.  But instead of giving their all as stockbrokers or auto-mechanics or assistant branch managers their job is to destroy your party.  When that WILSON van cruises into your town that shit is REAL. Real MUSIC. Real LIFE. Real LOUD. Real SWEATY. And real fucking FUN.

SCORPION CHILD and KADAVAR to Kick Off North American Tour This Saturday

Austin, TX rockers SCORPION CHILD are getting ready to hit the road this Saturday.  Along for the ride is providing direct support is Berlin Germany’s KADAVAR.  Also on the bill will be Gypsyhawk, Wilson and Mothership.  The tour kicks off this Saturday in Denver, CO and runs through October 5th in Brooklyn, NY.  SCORPION CHILD are touring in support of their self-titled debut and KADAVAR are out in support of their sophomore release Abra Kadavar.

SCORPION CHILD lead guitarist Chris Cowart commented on the upcoming tour:

“We are super stoked for our upcoming run with KADAVAR, Gypsyhawk, Wilson and Mothership! Hide your daughters!”

KADAVAR also cannot wait to hit the road in the states:

“After not being able to make it happen in March, we are very excited to be heading out on this tour and bring our live show to the fans in many new cities!”

Hooks are a musical idea; a short riff, passage, or phrase of notes that catches the ear of the listener in a way that makes them to want to hear it again.  Some bands have them; many don’t.  Austin-based five-piece SCORPION CHILD have ’em in spades.  Whether it’s an extended blues jam or a short slice of bombastic heavy rock, hooks by The Child are so tempting, everyone bites.  With a warm sound heralding back to the psychedelic rock of the early 1970s,SCORPION CHILD members add the eclectic tastes of more contemporary influences such as Pentagram, Hairy Chapter, and Lucifer’s Friend to their musical stew.  Formed in 2006, they’ve spent the last few years perfecting both their songwriting and stage show.  Guitarists Chris Cowart and Tom “The Mole” Frank deliver their twin guitar attack with a finesse older than their years; bassist Shaun Avants and drummer Shawn Alvear are steadfast sentinels of their driving rhythm section; and lead singer Aryn Jonathan Black fronts the psychedelic rock cavalry with a passionate voice reminiscent of the early eras of Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant and Rainbow’s Ronnie James Dio.

Primed to join the elite ranks of rock’s present day flag bearers such as Graveyard, The Sword, Wolfmother, and Rival Sons, SCORPION CHILD is a band you’ll be proud to admit you’ve known since their debut album.  Grandsons of the fathers of rock, their music will take you through your past, present, and future and bring you back feeling hopeful, alive, and ready to take on whatever life throws your way.

It was already with 2012’s eponymous debut album that KADAVAR casted a spell on all fans of solid riff-driven yet doom-like 70’s hard rock à la BLACK SABBATH or PENTAGRAM. Marrying this with the spacy psychedelic approach of early HAWKWIND and mixing in a distinct own touch while preserving their icon’s warm vintage charm can doubtlessly be considered the trio’s key to success – astoundingly high vinyl sales and support shows for bands such as SLEEP, SAINT VITUS, PENTAGRAM and ELECTRIC WIZARD as well as stunning festival gigs at “Stoned From The Underground”, “Yellowstock” and “Fusion Festival”, among others, underline KADAVAR’s status as one of the scene’s most exciting acts.

Carrying the experiences of dozens of played live shows as a source of inspiration inside them,KADAVAR entered the timeless space of their studio end of last year to procure supplies for their ever growing fan base that was starving for more – in the form of their second full-length album and debut on Nuclear Blast.  Now that their album is out, the band is ready to hit the road in North America.

Debut Album Full Blast Fuckery Out Now!

The FUCKERY has taken hold and people all over are singing the praises of WILSON.  Their debut album Full Blast Fuckery is available now and the band will be touring across the country in support of it.  If you haven’t picked up your copy yet, what the fuck are you waiting for?  Order it right HERE.Today WILSON has teamed up with Crave Online for an exclusive premiere of their video for “College Gangbang”.  The video was made by Detroit filmmakers Nick Ferguson and Raymond Rivard, who recently joined forces under the name Club Davison.  The video was filmed at the legendary Metal Frat in Ann Arbor, MI.

Frontman Chad Nicefield gave a rather long quote about the video; see if you can make it through.  (If you do, the video link is below it)…

“We are very excited to unleash our debut debaucherous music video for “College Gangbang” the 1st single off our brand spanking new album Full Blast Fuckery.

At a time when bands and fans alike are riddled with bad attitudes and overly stale states of mind, we over here at the WILSON camp have been training, preparing and formulating the correct way to adjust those attitudes.

We have enlisted a hero of epic proportions to turn these party frowns upside down. A man so hell-bent on making sure your life’s inner soiree is celebrated that he is even willing to kill for you. A man built so well endowed that any female that steps foot into his presence will surely be brought to her knees in pure ecstasy. A man so party that John Belushi himself came back from the grave just to stare into the eyes of a man more worthy. An enigma of a man so full of pure adulterating good times that Macaulay Culkin literally stepped down from his role in Party Monster 2 to hand over the baton. A TRUE hero of our times.

So grab your lady (ladies) or your man (men), a bong and your favorite 40oz of malt liquor and Experience The Gangbang.”

Check out the exclusive video premiere HERE.

Wilson Thrash 2013: New Album Worth Your Weekend

img1260zh

This ten-track mammoth begins with a satirical opening mic-check, blasting into a power-chord, and some marvelously raunchy vocals. For the few of you out there that might snag this reference, Chad Nicefield (vocalist) champions a tinge of “Refused” singer (Dennis Lyxzén) style, which I really don’t hear often.  Nicefield also seems to have a bit of an interesting Daryl Palumbo (Glassjaw) vocal influence? Regardless of procuring taste, this five-piece from Michigan will leave you on your ass after they rage through a town near you.

This rightfully titled album “Full Blast F***ery” is just largely an enormous album to get you pumped.  In my mind, it sounds a lot like the soundtrack to the “Jackass” Sagas…but maybe amped up worse than they were.  There is also a pleasant savor of a Van Halen 80’s metal influence on track number 4 “College Gangbang,” just to take things back to their roots.

The song titles are slightly less than professional, but that’s what Wilson stands for.  Breaking the monotony of the 9-5 work grind, these dudes are busy espousing all that it means to be rockstars.  They don’t mess around when it comes to getting the job done in the recording studio, with real instruments and not a bunch of computers and synthesizers the way a lot of good hard rock is recorded these days.  Wilson is a REAL touring band that doesn’t try to be anything other than real, which this ten-track album is – much the opposite of ethereal.

PromoImage (1)

The old-school 90’s revolt mentality is brought back by these guys in their album artwork as well.  The cover reminds me of Crash Bandicoot with rabies, it’s pretty cool.  I think my favorite track is titled, “Viking P***ies, F*** off.”  I can assimilate this notion, since I’m not the biggest fan of Viking metal.  Not only is this title hilarious and accurate, the track is also a super slick and rad transition into the 8th track, followed by “Susan Jane.”  This track is balls to the wall badass, with an intense breakdown resembling something solid. The sound almost envelops slides Mark Morton and Willie Adler would collaborate on.

Listening to this album, I envision back flips into pools off 3 story buildings, lighting things on fire, or maybe what it might sound like inside your mind if you stole a car (which we do not advise).  The album itself is systematized bedlam, enrapturing all of your senses and inner angst into a quiet revolt at your office desk.  It’s the perfect illustration of the white-collar HR manager tearing his tie off and slamming some bourbon with his buddies after a long week of dealing with a slew of incompetent interns.  Pre-order your copy of “Full Blast F***ery” today and transform up your summer weekends to what they should have been all along.

New “GWAR-B-Q” Commercial Released – Tickets to Go On Sale on June 6th

New “GWAR-B-Q” Commercial Released

Tickets to Go On Sale on June 6th

GWAR-B-Q 2013 Commercial
GWAR-B-Q 2013 Commercial
In keeping with the tradition of past GWAR-B-Q’s, Slave Pit Inc. today released their latest commercial hyping what will certainly go down in history as the greatest GWAR-B-Q yet, presented once again by the Slave Pit and sponsored by Ring Dog Rescue. With tickets scheduled to go on sale in two weeks, the countdown is on for the most decadent, delicious, and downright depraved social event for mutant miscreants in the history of this mud-ball planet! Check out the cinematic masterpiece HERE, directed by the same Slave responsible for the last two GWAR-B-Q commercials.

Tickets for this barbaric extravaganza will be available June 6th at www.gwarbq.com, and come in three different versions…

But wait! Before you buy your tickets, check out the “Win It Before You Can Buy It” contest on local Richmond radio station 102.1 the X, airing June 3rd-7th. Listen for your chance to win tickets which grant you full access to the GWAR-B-Q, “Meat and Beat”, the “B4BQ”, and the “GWAFTER PARTY EVENT”, plus the chance to become GWAR’s “Slave for a Day”, which could entail duties as critically important as draining the pus from Pustulus’ scabby leg-enders, to sitting around backstage in everybody’s way while getting completely hammered until you are thrown into a trash dumpster. What fun!

Standard Ticket – $30: All Day Event Entry – all the bands, all the fun, all the flailing! Completely free for the low price of 30 bucks!

Deluxe Ticket – $40:All Day Event Entry – all the fun, farts, and flailing, as well as an “official” 2013 GWAR-B-Q T-shirt, actually rubbed on Beefcake’s ass at one point or another.

Premium Ticket – $100: All Day Event Entry, Official GWAR-B-Q T-shirt, GWAR-B-Q2012 DVD, (see if you can find yourself throwing up) and an exclusive laminate VIP Pass for the “Meat & Beat” signing, where you can meet and hang out with the band, take photos to your hearts delight, and watch in horror as your hot or not hot girlfriend is dragged all too willingly into the special “Abyss of Abuse”, to be sullied in ways unthinkable. This ticket also includes free admission to the “B4BQ“, and the GWAFTER PARTY EVENT, where you can hang with the band and the artists of GWAR in a rare out of costume experience.  More details will be announced in the coming weeks. You will also have the chance to win an opportunity to appear on stage with GWAR, and be ground into pulp in our gore-choked meat grinder.

For those of you who were just born, or simply didn’t give a shit (which is practically unthinkable!), the GWAR-B-Q is GWAR’s annual summer slaughter-fest presenting some of the heaviest, most awesome bands the metal and punk scenes has to offer. Stemming from it’s original roots as a semi-annual party, the event has grown every year in the scope of its majesty, and this year promises to be the most incredible one yet, with a lineup that includes such heavyweights as Richmond hometown heroes Municipal Waste, the legendary Corrosion of Conformity, the aural devastation of Pig Destroyer, and a very special reunion of the infamous X-Cops, who are coming out of hiding after a 17-year hiatus spent running meth labs in Ecuador (and a host of other naughty things).  All the original members shall reunite for the GWAR-B-Q to open for the mightyGWAR.

“Just because we have all of the original members doesn’t mean the band hasn’t been progressing,,” said Cobb Knobbler, the X-Cops gay, satanic, Nazi bass player,. “I for one have been exploring the world of drug dog law enforcement…not handling the animals, but actually becoming one, through a series of extremely painful and expensive surgical procedures…the results of which I plan on unveiling at the actual GWAR-B-Q., giving me the legal right to ravage your genitals in search of cocaine!”

At this point the lineup for the days entertainment has been finalized, and two stages will barely be enough to present the enormous rock and rock spectacle that Slave Pit and Ring-Dog Rescue (http://ringdogrescue.org)shall present. The set times have yet to be finalized, but it should run something like this…

GWAR

Municipal Waste

Corrosion of Conformity

Pig Destroyer

Cannabis Corpse

Loincloth

X-Cops

Warbeast

Battlecross

Wilson

Mobile Death Camp

Volture

Kung-Fu Dykes

And if that’s not enough, there is plenty more filthy fun to overload your senses, leaving bloated, beastly, and completely broke. There will be more meat than ever, and boatloads of GWAR’s new “GWAR-B-Q” sauce to slather all over it, as well as GWAR’s new beer to wash it down your bottomless and gaping feed-hole. Just like last year, the affiar will be held at the only venue capable of handling such a stupendous event — the legendary Hadad’s Water Park…check out the details at http://hadadslake.com/

So get ready to experience the ultimate spectacle of music, meat and mayhem, as the undisputed Masters of Shock Rock prepare to unleash the greatest GWAR-B-Q in the history of this non-stop orgy of sun, fun, meat, murder, music, and straight up MAYHEM! What started years ago as a party for GWAR‘s wretched Slaves has mutated into a bonafide festival that grows every year in the scope of its debauchery.  Come take part in this Barbaric Bacchanalia!

Damn the torpedoes and let slip the dogs of war! Hail GWAR, hail Flattus, and gather with the tribe of GWAR in Richmond, VA on or around Saturday August 17th, 2013. But get there a day early for the “B4BQ” and then get ready for what is certain to go down in history as the greatestGWAR-B-Q yet!

Recently the first single from Full Blast Fuckery  “Viking Pussies Fuck Off” was premiered atRevolverMag.com.  Today WILSON has partnered up with Loudwire for an exclusive premiere of another new track from Full Blast Fuckery.  In addition to a stream of the song “College Gangbang” WILSON has provided Loudwire with top-secret home video footage to further enhance your full blast aural experience.  Get in on the action with the premiere of “College Gangbang” HERE.

WILSON will be hitting the road supporting Newsted this May.  The band has also confirmed that they will be taking part in this year’s GWAR-B-Q on August 17th in Richmond, VA.

WILSON is a band that has toured relentlessly since 2010, through big cities and little podunks.  A band that records its albums the ol’ fashioned way: with instruments.  And analog gear.  Fifth and sixth and twentieth takes.  A band that brings that last Friday night on Earth mentality equally to huge crowds and audiences of two solitary dudes.  Like P. Diddy once said “Can’t stop.  Won’t stop.” And they’ll never quit on you.  And that’s real talk. That’s #FUCKERY. And that’s WILSON.

Album out July 9th on Easy Killer Records

WILSON is not an “internet band”.  They’re five dudes in a van with beards and big dicks- working harder than your parents.  But instead of giving their all as stockbrokers or auto-mechanics or assistant branch managers their job is to destroy your party.  Forget debates about the music industry, about download analytics, mp3 singles, and the “charts”. Screw genres. All that has nothing to do with music.  But when that WILSON van cruises into your town that shit is REAL. Real MUSIC. Real LIFE. Real LOUD. Real SWEATY. And real fucking FUN.

Today the band gives you a taste of the Fuckery. WILSON have announced that they will be releasing their debut album Full Blast Fuckery July 9th via Easy Killer Records.  In conjunction with this announcement, the band has teamed up with RevolverMag.com the online home of Revolver Magazine to premiere the first video from Full Blast Fuckery.  Check out the video for “Viking Pussies Fuck Off” HERE.

Slave Pit “GWARtist” Announces Print Line

The man behind the mask of Oderus Urungus, Dave Brockie, today unveiled a new web-store where fans can buy limited-edition, high quality art prints of not only Brockie’s GWAR drawings, but many of his other illustrations. Culled from select images spanning a 30-year career as an artist and illustrator, these highly-collectable prints are now available to the public. Check outwww.theartofdavebrockie.com

“For years I have been doing custom paintings and drawings for people and I have gotten so far behind that I constantly have to turn down people looking to get some of my work. A high-quality print line web store will give everybody a chance to have a Brockie on their wall.” said the artist from GWAR‘s “Slave Pit”, their Richmond studio.

Dave Brockie is to many a footnote to the name most people know him by–that of Oderus Urungus, foul-mouthed alien barbarian and longtime lead singer of GWAR, the world’s foremost horror-rock spectacle. GWAR‘s legendary live shows and relentless work-ethic have earned the group of artists and musicians from Richmond, Va. an international reputation as the cutting-edge of outrageous, “Grand Guignol”-style metal theater, and won them legions of fans worldwide. In the course of the groups 25+ year-long career Brockie, as President of Slave Pit Inc., GWAR‘s parent production company, has consistently spearheaded the groups efforts, not only as the bands lead singer and public mouthpiece, but also as an artist involved in many of GWAR‘s graphic projects.

Brockie continued on like the blowhard that he is. “I actually graduated art school even though I knew it was no guarantee of employment. Nevertheless I deluded myself that I was going to become a fine artist and was painting these giant squiggly blob paintings that actually looked pretty cool, but were never going to pay the bills. I worked construction and knocked over liquor stores to do that. But I was also into comics and illustration and when GWAR started to happen it gave me a great venue for my work. Suddenly I was being called upon to do flyers, t-shirts, comics…even album covers. That turned into a 25+ year stretch where I was always making art of some kind. It’s about damn time I had my own print line!”

The prints are signed and numbered by the artist and are part of a limited edition of 1000 per image. The prints use the highest quality paper and inks, and are mounted on a piece of masonite that features a custom-made 3-D frame that is a throwback to Brockie’s early “squiggle” paintings.

“I hope this is a big success,” said Brockie. “I am going on a pilgrimage to Stalingrad this spring and need money for booze and food. Plus I got kicked in the mouth by a circus-mule and need extensive dental-work. “After I get this print site going, I plan to disappear. It is time for GWAR.
In other Slave Pit news GWAR is wrapping up a new album, their 13th, which is the band’s first since the passing of longtime guitarist Cory Smoot in late 2011. Coming out later this year, the album features the debut of Pustulus Maximus, cousin of the mighty departed one, Flattus Maximus. The band has a run of shows scheduled for this April, which are the last stops of the “Fate or Chaos” tour, which chronicles GWAR‘s epic struggle with an angry God. It has been rumored that GWAR will be testing out songs from the new album on these dates.

“Yes! We Will!” confirmed Oderus.

The band is also venturing into the culinary arts with a signature “GWAR-B-Q” sauce, which they will be debuting at a colossal “Meat & Meet” to be held at the world famous “Grinders” in Kansas City on Monday April 8th from 4-6 PM.

August will see the fourth annual GWAR-B-Q, the group’s annual outdoor music and meat-fest which is getting more massive every year. The new album’s release follows soon after, and then the band will embark on a mega-huge world tour that will continue well into 2014. Sounds like business as usual for the hardest working band in show biz.

WILSON to Embark on North American Tour With GWAR and Warbeast

The growl of chain saws making firewood of fifty foot pines. That’s WILSON. The howling of a pack of wolves battling a rabid moose. That’s WILSON. The panting, gasping breaths of a smoke break “nooner”. That’s fucking WILSON. The citation for a noise violation… that’s just where the party begins. If all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, then all party and no bullshit have made WILSON juggernauts. For the past few years WILSON has transformed shows into parties, and concerts into riots throughout the Midwest. WILSON has not only held their own, but raised the bar for how much fun live music can be.

Now WILSON is ready to take their party to the road, heading out on the “Fate or Chaos” North American tour with Mutant Overlords GWAR and Warbeast. The tour is set to kick off April 10th in Tucson, AZ and will run through April 25th in Jacksonville, FL. Tickets for all the dates are on sale now.

Chad Nicefield Vocalist/Weirdo Beardo commented on the upcoming “Fate or Chaos” tour:

“We are extremely excited and honored to be supporting the legendary GWAR this April!WILSON cannot wait for all the fuckery to unveil itself on the road with these scumdogs!”

Five dudes growing up in Michigan’s post-industrial wasteland, know that when life gives you lemons, buy a bottle of tequila, chug it, and enjoy biting into that sour fruit. You can taste that philosophy in the music. With a brutal rhythm section and fret-board wizardry they bring the best parts of metal into their hook heavy straight up rock n’ roll. Don’t be surprised if you see the gnarliest, glowering dude in the bar start dancing like a first grader on a school picnic once the music starts. Rabid demand from a growing fan base has sold out their debut EP, “Standing on the Reel”. They have a new full-length album coming in 2013, produced by Steve Evetts (Dillinger Escape Plan, Saves the Day, Every Time I Die).

With a new album in the works and relentless tour schedule, whatever you do, don’t go to http://www.wilsonpartyanimals.com/, unless you’re ready to fucking party!

GWAR Announces Second Leg of “Fate or Chaos” Tour

After spending months deep inside their arctic fortress working on what will be their next album, your Lords and Masters GWAR have announced their return to the road in North America. The second leg of the “Fate or Chaos” tour is scheduled to kick off April 10th in Tucson, AZ and will run through April 25th in Jacksonville, Florida. Support on the tour will come from Warbeast and Wilson. Tickets go on sale this Friday February 15th.
Briefly putting down the crack pipe, lead throat thing Oderus Urungus spoke about going back on tour:

“As you humans amuse yourself with your mundane holidays, it has been a time of intense activity for GWAR, as we record our 13th studio album– the first one with our new Scumdog brother, Pustulus Maximus!”

The Filth-Lord continued– “We begin this years festivities with the second and final leg of our Fate or Chaos tour, so everybody who missed the first leg can see Cyber-Jesus get his fucking ass handed to him. Then it’s back in the studio to work on all the hulking war machines we shall need on our devastating, brand-spanking new tour, after the album drops at the end of the summer! Can you believe I said drop? How fucking stupid!”

Oderus Urungus and Balsac the Jaws of Death, recently took New York by storm when they were in town filming a segment for the SyFy TV Show “Oddities”.

The guys were once again recruited by MTV’s Next Movie to give their critique of another Steven Spielberg directed, Oscar nominated film. The last time they reviewed a movie for Next Movie they reviewed “War Horse” it was only fitting that “Lincoln” be next. Check out Oderus and Balsac’s review HERE.

Oderus and Balsac recently stole the show .as guests on the “Artie Lange Show”. Check out highlights of their appearance HERE:

The summer will also herald the fourth annual GWAR-B-Q, and this year is shaping-up to have the most colossal, bone-crushing line-up yet! But that’s not all from your toxic mutant under-lords. Rumors of boxed sets, GWAR-B-Q sauce, GWAR beer, and long-awaited “comedy” albums abound. Further details about all of these projects would have to wait until “we get our shit together”, said Oderus.
