Praise for Temples:

“‘Colours To Life’ adeptly balances both their idols’ folk-pop roots and psych-rock branches . . . It’s an unearthing of a time capsule for sure, but ‘Colours To Life’ still can feel like a breath of fresh air.”

– Pitchfork

“a small-scale epic. “Mesmerise” does just that, somehow cramming six or seven minutes’ worth of propulsive hallucinatory pop into just under four. Tame Impala, meet your fiercest competition.”

– Stereogum

“It’s prim but powerful, shifting from jittery verses to booming, Zeppelin-esque choruses. And, for your own good, just go ahead and leave that sugar-sweet guitar hook where it’s stuck now – in your brain, corkscrewing deeper and deeper, without any hope of ever exiting.”

– SF Weekly

“Temples specialize in ’60s-washed psychedelia, blending anemic vocals and shaggy melodies into a wonderfully murky swirl.”

– SPIN

“with their retro-inspired debut Sun Structures…they seem poised to live up to-and, yes, surpass-the hype.”

– Nylon

“Temples arrived with a fully developed sound… Stereo-panned guitars jangle brightly as background vocals drift away in the distance like morning mist. Tambourines discreetly haunt the margins of the soundscape as sonorous, loosely-tuned drums ring in the foreground under a memorable vocal hook.”

SATANIC MALFUNCTIONS: UK Hardcore/Punk Act’s First Album In Twenty-Two Years Streaming At Decibel

Them, the first LP from UK hardcore punk trio SATANIC MALFUNCTIONS, is out now via Poland’s demolition experts, Selfmadegod Records. Surging with rabid, old-school circle-pit intensity and politically-oriented, cynical and pissed-off lyrical tirades, Them dispatches twenty tracks in just over thirty minutes, resulting in one of those “get this now” releases for devotees to acts like Active Minds, Disorder, Doom, Atavistic, Electro Hippies, L’arm and Heresy.

Decibel Magazine is now hosting a full-on stream of the entire Them LP to celebrate its release, joined by a rapid interrogation of SATANIC MALFUNCTIONS’ percussion specialist, Ade. Check it out RIGHT HERE.

Pick Them up via Selfmadegod, who in 2012 also released the SATANIC MALFUNCTIONS Disgrace To Music 2xCD compilation both previous LPs and all EP and compilation tracks. Merch bundles are available now direct from Selfmadegod HERE, and Them is available digitally HERE.

The newest SATANIC MALFUNCTIONS LP since the Scarborough, UK-based act’s 1990-released Disgrace To Humanity, the whirlwind of old-school hardcore punk on Them is a throwback to the mid-late ’80s hardcore scene when grindcore was only beginning to take shape. Recorded by Bri Doom, of UK crust legends, Doom, Them proves that the quartet — vocalist Kai, guitarist Yaga, bassist Ryan and drummer Ade — haven’t let their guard down, and are as capable of deploying the same aggressive, ultra-fast and frenzied socio-political musical melee they did more than two decades ago.

Bullet Tooth signs The Smoking Hearts from the UK

Bullet Tooth is excited to announce the signing of The Smoking Hearts from the UK! The band will release their Bullet Tooth debut album “Victory!” this summer in North America and Japan. Playing with the likes of The Used, Asking Alexandria, Gallows, Andrew WK, and many more, The Smoking Hearts have cemented their reputation as one of the most exciting young bands in the U.K.

In fact, Jay and Moose from Bullet For My Valentine recently told the UK press, “We think everyone should check out The Smoking Hearts this year, they are good mates of ours. A brilliant band, think Motörhead on more speed beating up the Anti-Nowhere League then bumming The Ramones. Seriously, think about that. They have a new album out this year called ‘Victory!’, a definite recommendation.”

Joining the family at Bullet Tooth and having labelmates like Affiance, Throw The Fight, First Blood, Serianna, Death Ray Vision, and more, was important to the band. Calvin Roffey (Bass) commented, “I’m really excited that The Smoking Hearts have joined Bullet Tooth. It’s great that we’re able to release Victory! with a group of people that understand what we’re about as a band, and can help us reach new people that will rock out with us. Really excited to work with the people that have bought us some of of our favourite bands through the years, and together put The Smoking Hearts on the map.”

Vocalist Ben Mills also checked in, “Feels good to finally have a US home, and on such a killer label as Bullet Tooth – we had such a great time when we went to the States for SXSW and Houston we have a problem, be good to finally have a release out in the US and Japan, to give us a reason to come back.”

There is no such thing as a dull moment for The Smoking Hearts. Live shows have seen guitars smashed and drum kits sprawled across stages and it is not uncommon to find half the band playing in the crowd while singer Ben Mills is in the back of the venue, on the bar, or hanging from the rafters, all the while coercing the crowd into joining the party.

After releasing their debut album Pride of Nowhere to rave reviews from the British music press (KKKK – Kerrang!, 8/10 Rocksound, 8/10 NME), The Smoking Hearts hit the road on their first national tour to support the release, wreaking havoc throughout the U.K. and Europe.

With the release of their new album Victory! coming this summer, The Smoking Hearts are getting ready to show the world the result of those writing sessions. Once again proving that their unique blend of high-energy Rock ‘N’ Roll has the dexterity to resonate with Punk, Metal, and Hardcore crowds alike.

Recorded with Dan Weller and Justin Hill (Enter Shikari, Young Guns), and recorded over a period of four weeks in Fortress Studios, London, Victory! is an aptly titled record. Clocking in at just over the 30 minute mark, Victory! is a celebration, a testament to The Smoking Hearts’ DIY/ ‘never say die’ approach to life on stage and off. Featuring guest backing vocals from over 40 of the band’s friends, Victory! is a party of an album, the soundtrack to every good night out.

The past 18 months have seen The Smoking Hearts go from their bedrooms, to clubs throughout the U.K. and Europe, destroy down in Australia as part of Soundwave Festival and even wreak havoc in the United States. Now, with the release of their new album, The Smoking Hearts intend on celebrating their victory worldwide.

Stay tuned for new music, videos, tour dates and more from The Smoking Hearts! Catch the band LIVE this coming weekend (February 10) at The Grand Hall 2 in Cardiff, UK with Bullet For My Valentine.

“Worthy contenders to take Gallows “Kings Of British Punk crown.” – NME

A brilliant band, think Motörhead on more speed beating up the Anti-Nowhere League
then bumming The Ramones. Seriously, think about that. They have a new album
out this year called ‘Victory!’, a definite recommendation.” – Rocksound

“The aural equivalent of Bad Religion going ten rounds with Gallows
in a cage fight. Likely to give you a black eye just listening to it.” – Q

“This is head banging, beer-spitting, ear-bleeding Rock ‘N’ Roll at its loudest
and proudest… Boasting enough power to raise the dead” – Kerrang!

“Equally known for destroying venues as they are for their
balls-to-the-wall take on punk rock.” – Noisecreep/AOL Music

“Their incendiary songs and live energy is pure perspiration soaked entertainment
to the max. These boys deserve your attention and deserve to be huge.” – Big Cheese

THE ENEMY UK SIGN WITH EONE MUSIC

One of UK’s most beloved rock bands, THE ENEMY UK have signed a North American deal with eOne Music and will release a brand new digital only EP titled, “Streets in the Sky” here in the states this fall.

The “Streets In The Sky” full length has already been released in the UK debuting at #9 on the UK album chart with full critical acclaim from NME, Q, & The Sun. eOne will release an EP in Fall 2012 featuring the lead single “Gimme The Sign”, followed by the full album release in Spring 2013.

With The Bronx’s Joby J. Ford in the producer’s chair, this is the band’s most hard hitting material to date. They will be announcing U.S. dates in 2013 to coincide with the full album’s release.

The Enemy formed in hometown Coventry in 2006 by three friends; Andy Hopkins (25, bass), Liam Watts (24, drums) and Tom Clarke (24, vocals/guitar). Their first single, “40 days, 40 nights,” sold out all 1000 copies of its limited edition 7” in less than one day. Their debut 2007 album, “We’ll Live and Die in These Towns,” charted at #1, selling over 600,000 copies with big singles “Away From Here” (Top 10) and “Had Enough” (Top 5), gaining the band an army of diehard fans. Their second album, “Music For The People,” was released in 2009 and charted very strongly at #2 with the hit, “Be Somebody,” continuing to be used on ITV’s FA Cup coverage.

To date, the band has sold over half a million tickets for their live gigs.

Motionless In White’s new single “If It’s Dead, We’ll Kill It”

Motionless In White’s new single “If It’s Dead, We’ll Kill It” (feat. Brandan Schieppati) is now available for digital download on iTunes.

The Pennsylvanian metal outfit deliver a brand new lyric video for the single, which the band premiered earlier today. Just in time for halloween, the video offers a combination of clips from horror movies, spliced with live footage from Motionless In White’s sold out London, UK show last month. “If It’s Dead, We’ll Kill It” is featured on their highly-anticipated new album Infamous, set to release November 13th.
Get more information about the album at:
MotionlessInWhite.net/Infamous

“If It’s Dead, We’ll Kill It” was written about my disgust for people in the world who have developed this sense of entitlement that they think gives them the right to dictate standards others need to live by. I’m more specifically talking about the beauty standard, ” Lead singer, Chris Motionless explains. “I asked my hero Brandan Schiepatti from Bleeding Through to scream along with me on this song. He and his lyrics have always been what I’ve looked to for guidance and influence when I felt lost, so I am hoping to do the same for others out there. This song means more to me than anyone can understand. I’m coming for you mother fuckers.” Read more about “If It’s Dead, We’ll Kill It”

Gaining a reputation for constantly challenging the concept of “playing it safe”, Motionless In White are unafraid to make music as intense as it is intricate. Having built upward from the success of their debut album Creatures, which has sold over 50,000 copies, the band’s ability to interweave powerful lyrics and strong musicianship with striking imagery has captivated both fans and media around the globe.

To follow-up their sold out UK headline tour, the band are gearing up for their first North American headliner this November / December, and will return overseas on a UK run with Asking Alexandria in early 2013.
