Born and raised in the Bama clay, these boys are as southern as they come. Taught how to bend a string and break a heart by Skynyrd and Hank, brothers James and Frank Ford along with their hometown friends Andrew Davis and Ben Crain formed the southern rock band known as Them Dirty Roses. Piling into an RV with their belongings, their instruments, and all the whiskey they could carry (in the cooler), they made their way from Gadsden, AL to Nashville, TN. All living all under one roof, Them Dirty Roses are a living example of the quintessential rock and roll American Dream. Their live show calls for a shot of whiskey and a 2 for 1 special — BUT what that really means is you better be ready to throw back 12 for 6 and shake it with Them Dirty Roses.

Glasgow, UK based Rock band MASON HILL has released the official music video for their blistering metal single, “D.N.A.” Directed and produced by David Barras and Scott McKay for Strangeboat Productions, “D.N.A.” is the third single off the band’s chart dominating debut album, Against The Wall.
“D.N.A.” is also dominating German and French charts, sitting comfortably on Rock Antenne FM’s‘ top 20 and hitting top 10 in the Heavy 1 French radio chart.
“A blistering and hook filled bit of gleaming modern metal, it manages to perfectly mesh heaviness with melody that shows a maturity way beyond most of their peers.
With a superb production, this just doesn’t pop out of the speakers, it practically roars, the Highland passion in full flow and Celtic fire blazing.” – Metal Planet Magazine
Released on March 5th, Against The Wall achieved the UK national album chart at number 19, taking a coveted top 20 album position, and reached over 750,000 streams on Spotify. The long awaited album, which received critical acclaim from both media and fans alike, also hit number 1 in the UK rock album chart. It is the first time a rock band has debuted with their album in the UK Top 20 since Greta Van Fleet in 2018 and also the first time a British rock act as debuted with their album in the UK Top 20 and # 1 in the UK rock album chart since Royal Blood and Lonely The Brave back in 2014!
It is an incredible achievement for new British rock band, starting from an almost zero sales base and during a pandemic when there has been no traditional retail, no live shows or touring opportunities. The innovative marketing campaign run by both 7Hz Productions (ADA) and the band involved a six month fan building initiative utilizing the band’s social platforms, streaming performances, virtual ‘in store’ launch events, dark ad audience building and strategic media take over promotions. Coupled with very positive press reviews, online reviews, regional radio support, and four Planet Rock playlist additions, the band’s new album has connected musically with rock fans resulting in a surge of sales.
The band is set to release their next digital single, a cover of the 2005 Foo Fighters hit “The Best Of You,” all platforms on April 23, 2021.

To trace the Mason Hill story to its origin, Scott Taylor and James Bird met at school in Glasgow. At the age of 14, Bird was already an accomplished, award-winning, gifted guitar prodigy, who’d shared a stage with Ozzy Osbourne/Black Label Society man Zakk Wylde, a personal hero, toured across the UK, and secured endorsements from leading music brands. The teenage Taylor already harboured dreams of fronting a rock ’n’ roll band, and the pair’s friendship and shared aspirations led them to form a band. In 2013 the pair formed Mason Hill, adding drummer Craig McFetridge, bassist Matthew Ward, and guitarist Marc Montgomery in due course. Five diverse, colourful characters, the members of the group were instantly bonded by a shared, singular vision for their band: Taylor relinquished long-held plans to become an Olympic swimmer in order to focus on music, while Ward withdrew from a degree course at the University of Glasgow, where he’d been studying microbiology/virology. For these ambitious young men, Mason Hill was and is priority number one.
Mason Hill are Scott Taylor (Lead Vocals), James Bird (Lead Guitar), Marc Montgomery (Guitar), Matthew Ward (Bass) and Craig McFetridge (Drums)
THE STORY SO FAR Mason Hill has spent their formative years “learning their craft” on stages up and down the UK. This included high profile shows supporting the likes of Graham Bonnet (Rainbow), Snakecharmer (feat. ex-Whitesnake, Thunder & Wishbone Ash members), Toseland, Marco Mendoza (Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy, Ted Nugent, The Dead Daisies) and Stone Broken.
“this is the best new heavy rock act currently performing in the UK.” (Fabrications HQ)
“a prodigious talent that belies their fledgling years.” (Planet Rock)
In December 2015 the band released their debut E.P, the self titled Mason Hill, featuring four tracks which highlighted exactly why this band are turning heads – outstanding songs that demonstrated a maturity far beyond their years. Recorded at The Foundry Music Lab with Sandy Jones (Wet Wet Wet) in the producer’s chair, the EP has been critically acclaimed amongst the music press and fans alike.
2016 brought several breakthroughs in the band’s career, firstly the invitation to perform on The Rising Stage at Ramblin’ Man Fair, headlined by Whitesnake and Black Stone Cherry, winning the UK wide Highway To Hell battle of the bands competition that earned them opening the main stage slot at Hard Rock Hell, alongside the likes of Ugly Kid Joe, Ratt, and Glenn Hughes, appearing at Winterstorm Festival, alongside the likes of Ricky Warwick, Last in Line (ex-Dio) and Inglorious to selling out their first ever headline show at the famous Cathouse Rock Club in Glasgow with one month left to spare – a feat only achieved in recent times by Anthrax and Black Stone Cherry.
The career progression continued into early 2017 when the band was special guest to Inglorious in London at their sold out second album launch show, appeared triumphantly at Download on The Boardie Takeover Stage, opened for Airbourne at their sold out show in Edinburgh. and returned to their hometown for their second headline show at G2; again this sold out with demand so great that it was upgraded to the 750 capacity The Garage where the likes of Magnum, Tesla, and Symphony X have performed – packing the place to the rafters
The first promo video “’Now You See Me” was released in 2017, which to date has more than a quarter of a million views.
The year ended with support for GUN at Glasgow Barrowlands in December plus an appearance at Planet Rockstock:
“Fresh-faced Glasgow boys Mason Hill were nothing short of a triumph. Completely packing out the room, they served up a rock and roll storm from the offset with anthems like ‘Now You See Me’ before showing off another side of their art with powerful closer ‘Where I Belong’ that delved into rock ballad territory. In fact, the Planet Rockstock faithful were so won over we’ve been inundated with requests for Mason Hill to be bumped up the bill in 2018” (Planet Rock)
The band spent a lot of time developing material for their album and the first show of 2018 was at Glasgow’s King Tuts which sold out in three days, ten weeks in advance of show!
Ladies and gentlemen – Mason Hill are back with fire in their belly. This group of high achievers carry the pressure of early success but as they take to the stage to the intro tape, it is obvious they have class and confidence…” (Down The Front Media)
“There are few up and coming acts in Scotland that have made a notable impression as swiftly as Glasgow rockers Mason Hill. They have grown in popularity and garnered an insane following like nothing else” (SMS, Scotland)
“Mason Hill never disappoint, in fact they always take it to the next level every time you see them” (Jace Media)
This was followed by an appearance at TRNSMT on the same day as Queen, and Steelhouse Festival in Wales alongside such as Black Star Riders, Glenn Hughes and, Myles Kennedy.
The latter part of 2018 saw Mason Hill going out on tour supporting The Dan Reed Network at shows across the UK and a return to Planet Rockstock, by popular demand after their performance in 2017, this time on the main stage.
In a further development Mason Hill agreed to part ways with Frontiers Records.
A further sold out King Tuts show followed in 2019 and a sub headline slot at Planet Rock’s Winters End in February 2020. Since then live activity has been curtailed by the covid 19 pandemic, in common with every other band. However the band has not been idle and the focus has been on the debut album, recorded at Riverside Studios near Glasgow and vocals in New York, and mixed by Chris Sheldon (Foo Fighters, Biffy Clyro).
In 2020 the band signed a management contract with Jaba Music and a record deal with 7Hz Productions, and the album release date is planned for 5 March 2021. Three singles have so far been released to date from the album to critical acclaim.
2021 promises to be a big year for Mason Hill, despite on going restrictions.
Multi-Genre Artist and YouTube star BLACKLITE DISTRICT has released both a dazzling visualizer as well as a new MINECRAFT themed music video for his newest single, “Falling.” “Falling,” produced by Young Kxge and with visuals by Wifey, is his second second release in 2020. With nearly 300,000,000 combined streams, “Falling” will be followed on 4/3 by “Wishing Dead,” with his debut album set to release later this year.
I think that “Falling” is me finding myself as an artist, and you can hear the evolution of my songwriting. I actually broke down into tears while recording the vocals for this track, which was a first for me, and that’s when I knew this song was special. I love the fact that I got to bring so many different influences into this song. It’s a great reference for what’s to come with my official debut album later this year.” – KYLE PFEIFFER

Deepfall drops their latest album, Broken, via Pavement Entertainment. Broken is available on CD through Pavement’s Online Store and on streaming platforms everywhere.
Rich Hopkins, the vocalist of Deepfall, says on Broken, “My favorite song performance wise from the new album would have to be ‘Ghost.’ It’s a fairly deep song for me, and playing it on stage is a bit of a rollercoaster ride.” He also appreciates seeing the different reactions fans have to Deepfall’s music. “Everyone who listens to our music can incorporate their own circumstances to each song. It’s amazing to see what our fans take away from it.”
Deepfall conjures an enveloping storm of carefully crafted hard rock that strikes the soul with stinging honesty. Masterfully capturing thematic darkness, the band leaves a sonic trail of scorched post-apocalyptic earth behind its musical machine, blazing a path through the heaviness of life with an equally heavy response.

DEEPFALL conjures an enveloping storm of carefully crafted hard rock that strikes the soul with stinging honesty.
Cutting to the bone with soaring instrumental passages, spirited choruses, and precisely placed breakdowns, the band thrives in the expanse of rock ’n’ roll’s vast sub-genres.
Masterfully capturing thematic darkness, the band leaves a sonic trail of scorched post-apocalyptic earth behind its musical machine, blazing a path through the heaviness of life with an equally heavy response.
Situated in Greenville, Michigan, the group’s current lineup, which began to take shape in 2015, is comprised of Rich Hopkins (vocals/guitar), Nick Gray (drums), Tim King (keyboards), Anthony Battista (lead guitar 1), Max Carrillo (lead guitar 2), and Taylor Brandt (bass).
In a short time, DEEPFALL has carved its place in the American rock scene with broad, muscular soundscapes forged in the studio and resurrected onstage. The band’s latest release, Broken, employs a signature brand of soulful songwriting rounded out by an unapologetic combination of surging guitars, rattling bass, mesmerizing keyboards, heavy drums and Hopkins’ roaring lead vocals.
Behind the veil of these ferocious soundscapes, DEEPFALL emerges as an outfit of determined musicians with a deep love for their craft and a hope to connect with listeners through engaging story-driven rock.
DEEPFALL has supported national acts such as Hinder, SOiL, Tantric, Smile Empty Soul, Saving Abel, The Iron Maidens, Texas Hippie Coalition, and Wayland, while having performed at venues such as The Intersection, The Stache, and The Music Factory. The band continues to play regionally, write new music, and keep its collective foot pressed down on the gas pedal towards endless possibility.

Advance Praise for In The House Of Strange Affairs
“With a sheer multitude of musical styles and socialistic genres seamlessly meshing into a sordid melting pot of creative debauchery, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult retains the flag of anarchy among the masses with a ‘fuck you’ style and a ‘watch this’ smirk. Drenched in kitsch and soaked in gasoline, ‘In The House of Strange Affairs’ will become a looped playlist of hypnotic decadence in whatever listening receptical you choose.” – Jammerzine
“As far as a review goes, there’s not much I can say that could sell this record any more than it will already sell itself, T.K.K fans are practically addicts for this stuff. If the band emerged in 70’s New York in the cinematic world they’re so dearly devoted to they’d be on Travis Bickle’s hit-list for sure and would revel in in the fact of being so too. As uncompromising as they are unsavoury, T.K.K will always thrive in their very own house of strange affairs.” – Happy Metal Geek
“Eclectic, yet sonically appealing,by track two,the record has laid it’s landscape down, and has invited the listener in.With beats from the Land of Rhythm and Blues.raunchy vocals courtesy of lead singer Groovie Mann, and spoken-word overlays, the album is a strange affair all it’s own. Spotlight Tracks include “Gold To Grey”,the album opener,”Strange Affairs”,and the first song released from the album,”Year of the Klown“,which first saw release last year as part of a Sleazebox Records Sampler.” – Rock And Roll Infinity
“Per usual, TKK has outdone itself with originality. This phenomenal album is one that dreams are made of, a little dirty and a lot of good. The groove on this album is reminiscent of the new wave style of the eighties, and lets face it, it’s awesome. The sexual innuendos are noticeable. It is a sexy album, it is a good album, and it will get anyone in the mood for fun.” – Rock Documented
Hailing from Chicago’s renowned Wax Trax! Records stable of recording artists, MY LIFE WITH THE THRILL KILL KULT have been conjuring up sonic tales of sex, blasphemy and kitschy horror since 1987. Along with label mates such as Front 242, KMFDM and Ministry, TKK (as often abbreviated), helped develop the industrial music genre, but they themselves continued to evolve, creating one of the most diverse repertoires in modern day music. Their sound can be described as electronic rock, heavily influenced by both disco and funk. One of their most distinctive characteristics is the use of spoken-word samples lifted from B-movies laced throughout their songs. Since debuting, they have released 13 studio albums, and their music has been featured in a variety of films, television/cable shows and soundtracks, all the while making a reputation for themselves as one of the most notorious and controversial cult bands of their generation.
Artist Franke Nardiello and musician Marston Daley, two Chicago neighbors who enjoyed late night burritos while watching foreign horror movies on VHS rented from the corner store, began conspiring to make a trashy B movie (in the style of Russ Meyer and John Waters) to be called “My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult”. While the film itself never came to fruition, they also wrote some music to be the accompanying soundtrack. Both worked at Wax Trax! Records in Chicago, and when the label heard the tracks, they were intrigued and eager to release it.
The duo took the title of the film as the name for their band, and decided to focus on the musical group full time. Taking the stage names Groovie Mann(Nardiello) and Buzz McCoy (Daley), they worked on creating an occult-biker meets disco-rock influence look for the project, which included a bevy of voluptuous back-up singers and dancers known as the BOMB GANG GIRLZ. The New York Times wrote, “Sex, blasphemy, big beats and go-go dancing; they’re all in a day’s work for My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult ”. This attracted the attention of indie fans and the ire of religious groups in practically equal measure. They released their first album I See Good Spirits And I See Bad Spirits in 1988 followed up by the hard-hitting dance floor classics “Kooler Than Jesus” and “A Girl Doesn’t Get Killed By A Make-Believe Lover Cuz It’s Hot,” which featured no-wave chanteuse Lydia Lunch on vocals. By the time they released their second album, Confessions Of A Knife (1990), they were far and away one of the biggest selling acts on the label.
In 1991, the band embarked on the decadent “Sexplosion! Tour”, titled after their third album. Alternative Press reviewed the show as “Sin-sational!”. The tour was a success and the record sold so well that they signed a deal with Interscope Records shortly afterwards, and the single “Sex On Wheelz” became a sizeable radio hit.
Hollywood also embraced the group, recognizing the unique cinematic aspect of their sound. The band’s music has appeared in a slew of films and tv/cable shows including, director Ralph Bakshi’s “Cool World”, Paul Verhoven’ssaucy “Showgirls”, MTV’s “Beavis And Butthead“, and the cult film classic “The Crow”, in which the ensemble make a cameo appearance performing their song “After The Flesh”. More recently the KULT was written into the story line of the 2014 film “Sexy Evil Genius” starring Seth Green.
THRILL KILL KULT continue to release new material via their own SleazeBox Records label (sleazebox.com) and tour extensively with a rotating cast of musicians and dubious characters, however the core of the project has always been Nardiello and Daley, both on record and in the live act. Their performances sizzle with sleaze and infectious grooves, as Melody Maker once described, “A red hot cabaret from Hell”.
They begin their 4th decade this year with the release of a new album, In The House Of Strange Affairs on February 14th, and a North American tour commencing May 5th in Las Vegas. The current line-up is Groovie Mann (vocals), Buzz McCoy (keys), Mimi Star (bass), Justin Thyme (drums), Arena Rock (Bomb Gang Girl).
