*BEYOND DISHONOR is looking for management, label and booking agent interest. To inquire, please contact booking@beyonddishonor.com.*

Trenton, New Jersey metalcore mainstays BEYOND DISHONOR have released a music video for their first single, entitled ‘Heisenberg’, today via their official YouTube channel. Watch here –http://youtu.be/BLRfAGgK23Y. Any fan of the hit television drama ‘Breaking Bad’ will immediately recognize that ‘Heisenberg’ is a tribute to the popular show— complete with yellow meth lab suits, greasy cigar-smoking drug kingpins, shady factory laboratories galore and more. ‘Heisenberg’ is cut from the band’s upcoming EP Generations, set to drop in June 2013.

“It’s an obvious homage to one of our favorite pieces of entertainment, but it is wrapped around a stronger metaphor – just as Walt perfects the formula against his better judgement, so too are we forced to find and perfect the formula for notice and respect in this tumultuous industry and genre,” states lead vocalist Reese Dunlap. “That theme is referenced throughout the song, and goes one step further in the video, where we are, in a sense, a victim of this formulaic control. It is only when we have ‘perfected the formula’ that we can finally escape mediocrity.”

Breaking free of the norm is exactly what BEYOND DISHONOR plans to do with their new EP Generations, which boasts production credits from acclaimed producer Andreas Magnusson, known for his work with The Black Dahlia MurderImpending DoomThis or The Apocalypse and more. The five-piece combines eclectic styles and ranging influences to create music that is devastatingly heavy and aggressive enough for the most hardcore of fans, yet rhythmic and groovy enough to be accessible to those on the fringe. In a recent write-up, Heavyblogisheavy.com said, “The music lands on the good side of the contemporary metalcore/deathcore spectrum, for fans of early Born of Osiris (sans keyboards) or Within the Ruins.”

Drawing inspiration from pop culture, primarily in the form of movies, television and gaming, is one of countless ways BEYOND DISHONOR has garnered fans in the local and national metal scene since they formed in late 2006. Their 2011 full-length, Travesty, is a well-received concept album drawing from band favorites Se7en, Ghostbusters and Full Metal Jacket. In similar fashion, Generations features pop culture references evident in song titles like ‘ED209 vs. The Staircase’ (RoboCop) and ‘What Clayton Bigsby Doesn’t Know’ (Chappelle’s Show).

In the state of New Jersey and even nationally, BEYOND DISHONOR asserts one of the strongest DIY success stories in a very challenging genre. The band churns out a staggering 70+ self-funded shows a year— without any label, booking agency, or management assistance. BEYOND DISHONOR is pushing 5,000+ fans on their official Facebook page and 10,000+ on Twitter— essentially commanding the attention of East coast metal fans with each and every post. Much of their success stems from the overwhelming support and praise provided by the many nationally-recognized artists they have supported, including Unearth, Chimaira, August Burns Red, Attack Attack, All Shall Perish, Winds of Plague, Born of Osiris, Suffocation, Emmure, and numerous others.

This past February, BEYOND DISHONOR won the Trenton, NJ date of the Sumerian Records “Headband for the Highway” competition, which was a touring “battle of the bands”-style performance competition in which bands from each market were chosen to perform on a large summer festival date. As the winner, the band was selected to perform on a local date of the All Stars Tour (this year featuring Every Time I DieChelsea GrinVeil of Maya and more). Specifics regarding this performance are set to be announced soon.

BEYOND DISHONOR will head out on a 13-date east coast trek beginning April 12th. Several dates include performances with internationally-recognized artists such as Miss May I, Whitechapel, Texas in July and more, plus a stop at the annual Launch Music Conference in Lancaster, PA. THIS OR THE APOCALYPSE LAUNCHES INDEGOGO CAMPAIGN

Pennsylvania metal act THIS OR THE APOCALYPSE launched an Indiegogo campaign today to try and stay on the road. The band is currently between tours supporting their recently released LP, “Dead Years.” A full statement from the band is below. Click here to view the campaign.

We are This Or The Apocalypse, an internationally touring band from Lancaster, PA. On our way home from our 30th US tour at about 3:00am Our van lit on fire and we broke down at a rest stop an hour away from home. After waiting 8 hours we found someone to pick up and our trailer up and take us home while our van was towed to a garage.

After inspecting the van we were notified that it was far beyond repairable. For any of you who have never followed us in the past, last winter we broke down in Canada and spent over $3K rebuilding our fuel pump, which took over a week. We spent that week hopping from trains, vans, taxis and fans cars from show to show so that we didn’t have to cancel any dates on the tour.

Unfortunately, at this time with buying flights to Europe and dealing with other debts and personal expenses, we simply cannot afford to buy a new van. So we are asking our fans to help with donations that all will go towards getting us a new van to get back on tour and promote our new album ‘Dead Years’ even more.

We put together a great list of incentives to say thank you for your help. We will also be filming a web documentary about the band and the life of being a touring musician as well as a music video for the song “Americans” where we will be BLOWING UP our old van.

If you are unable to help us financially Indiegogo has great tools that help you share our cause with your friends which is just as big of a help to us. Through your donations and promotion we can get a new vehicle and get back on the road and continue touring.

We really cannot express how much we appreciate all of your help.

Thank you,

Sincerely,

Rick, Matt, Rod, Jack & Aaron

The band released “Dead Years” late last year to much criticial acclaim. Produced by Kevin Lankford and engineered by Andreas Magnusson, this is by far some of the band’s most aggressive material to date.

“While delivering the kind of unpredictable polyrhythms that define their virtuosic metalcore, the guys also reveal some pretty solid ‘songs.'” Revolver Magazine

LEGION ISSUE STUDIO UPDATE

Columbus metal titans LEGION have issued a studio update surrounding their yet-to-be-titled new release. The band has been hard at work with prodcuer Daniel Laskiewicz of THE ACACIA STRAIN and have vowed to release their most ferocious material to date:

The band recently signed a worldwide deal with eOne / Good Fight music and will release a brand new record this spring. After recently finishing up a successful run on the END OF THE WORLD TOUR supporting JOB FOR A COWBOY this past December, the band will support label-mates THIS OR THE APOCALYPSE and friends YOUR MEMORIAL starting in March.

Gaining exposure through their own DIY touring and performances at the New England Metal & Hardcore Festival, the band has come a long way in a short amount of time. The video for “Perverse Icon” has offered YouTube users a glimpse at just what Legion is capable of achieving on stage. Tracks like “Disclosure of Sin” and “Righteous Dictation” are emblematic of Legion’s skillful precision when it comes to balancing aggressive metallic destruction with trippy groove.

THIS OR THE APOCALYPSE DEBUTS NEW MUSIC VIDEO

THIS OR THE APOCALYPSE has debuted a second music video for the track, “Hate The Ones You Love” from their latest record, “Dead Years.”

Directed by veteran director David Brodsky, the video is about a group of young post-society survivors unable to cope with the task of killing a stranger who wanders into their territory. All of their coping mechanisms start to unravel. Front man Rick Armellino comments:

“Hate the Ones You Love was the first complete track that we knew would end up on Dead Years and it helped frame the rest of the album. The lyrics themselves are about how often I find myself mistrusting or even disliking people who remind me of myself, and what it’s like to try and remain trusted to those you love when you can’t accept who you are.

Writing a script around the lyrical themes and acting for the first time seemed risky but the final product really matches what we are trying to do.

Brodsky is an artist, I can’t describe how cool it was working with him. Hope you guys dig it!”

Affiance’s ‘The Campaign’ Has Killer Week- See Them Live in PGH 12/12

The new Affiance album “The Campaign” has had a successful first week! Some great sales numbers have charted them at #7 Heatseekers, #7 Top New Artist, #37 Top Hard Albums, and #53 Top Indie Albums. Singer Dennis Tvrdik commented, “We are absolutely stoked that we charted on Billboard! Our fans are insanely supportive and believe in us not only as a band but as people. Thank you to everyone who bought The Campaign. We are forever grateful!”

The band just premiered their first music video from “The Campaign”! The video is for the opening track “Kings Of Deceit” and shows the band performing as well as newsworthy moments from the last few decades. The song also features Dustin Davidson from August Burns Red (courtesy of Solid State) who gives a great vocal performance!

“We were really excited to do a serious and dark video since our biggest video is us running around in our pajamas and playing a video game. This video is for the first track on the album and we wanted to start ‘The Campaign’ off by calling out the media and the powerful who orchestrate and manipulate the biggest events throughout modern history. It also shows a different side of us than our ‘Call To The Warrior’ video. You know us as easy going, good time dudes, but we are also dead serious about making positive change in the world around us.” – Dennis Tvrdik (Vocals)

Dennis Tvrdik commented on the new album (Produced by Carson Slovak at Atrium Audio who has recently finished records for August Burns Red, Texas In July), “The Campaign is multiple levels above No Secret Revealed in every area. The vocals, the drums, the guitars, the recording quality, the song structure, the variety… We couldn’t be happier or more confident with a sophomore album. It almost feels like we skipped a release between the two albums! There is not a doubt in my mind that this will be a game changer for us and will open many doors to opportunities otherwise closed off from us.”

Affiance recently appeared AS A CARTOON (yes, a cartoon) in a new interview with South Africa’s MK Ondergrond! The interview appeared on national SA television but can be seen on YouTube along with recent interviews with In Flames and The Used. Singer Dennis Tvrdik talks about their hometown of Cleveland, the metal and hardcore scenes, touring, music videos, and more. They have also recently been featured in Hails And Horns Magazine and have features coming in the next issue of Outburn Magazine and more!

The guys launched their new music video for “Nostra Culpa” this Spring and it is available on YouTube! The video showcases the band doing what they do best, and that is performing LIVE. Check them out in front of a packed headlining set at Peabody’s in their hometown of Cleveland! MY HEART TO FEAR Release Lyric Video for “Dear Mr. White”

Pennsylvania metalers MY HEART TO FEAR are set to release their Solid State Records debut, Lost Between Brilliance and Insanity, December 4th. Through a partnership with Hot Topic, physical copies of the release will be exclusively found in any of the chain’s more than 600 stores, while the digital release will hit all traditional digital outlets.

Building anticipation for the EP, the band has released a lyric video for “Dear Mr. White,” a track that represents the band’s approach on Lost Between… – technical riffs, swaggering vocals and sky-high choruses, elements that helped MY HEART TO FEAR build its fervent fanbase over several self-released efforts.

The Williamsport, PA-based act hails from the same geographic region and musical circles that spawned a number of metalcore successes in recent years – most notably genre giants AUGUST BURNS RED, in addition to the likes of TEXAS IN JULY (Equal Vision) and THIS OR THE APOCALYPSE (eOne Entertainment). While a less confident band may look to steal a page or two out of those artists’ playbooks, MY HEART TO FEAR are intent on forging their own sound.

“When we write music we don’t stick to any one formula,” explains vocalist Trevor Pool. “We don’t write to please a certain group of people or to fit into specific genres. Nor do we sit down with a preconceived idea of what a song should or should not sound like. Instead we allow the music itself to reveal subconscious and spiritual paths. Rather than deriving inspiration solely from music, we find influence in the world around us and aim to transpose these non-musical entities into the musical aspects of a song.”

For MY HEART TO FEAR, their music and their career are built on four pillars of support that have helped the band push on and persevere: Family. Faith. Pride. Brotherhood. It’s a saying that has become something of a mantra for the band and demonstrates their belief that, for as much as they believe in their own abilities, they wouldn’t be where they are without the support of others.

Affiance launch music video for “Kings Of Deceit” / New album “The Campaign” out Nov 13/ Live in Pittsburgh 12/12

Affiance (Cleveland, OH) are excited to show the world their first music video off their upcoming album “The Campaign”! The video is for the opening track “Kings Of Deceit” and shows the band performing as well as newsworthy moments from the last few decades. Hot off the heels of their newest single “You WIll Be Replaced”, the band is gearing up for the release of their highly anticipated full length album “The Campaign” due out on Bullet Tooth on November 13, 2012. The album was produced by Carson Slovak at Atrium Audio who has recently finished records for August Burns Red, Texas In July, and more! The new song is an absolute behemoth (and hit #6 on the iTunes Metal Chart!) and will no doubt hold fans over until their sophomore album “The Campaign” is released. The new song “You WIll Be Replaced” can be downloaded at iTunes, Amazon, LastFM, eMusic and Rhapsody, and streamed at Spotify!

Singer Dennis Tvrdik commented on the upcoming album, “The Campaign is multiple levels above No Secret Revealed in every area. Metal Insider Presents Rocks Off Concert Cruise Featuring the Return of PRONG to New York City

The band founded on New York’s Lower East Side is finally making their triumphant return home. That’s right PRONG will be returning to New York City as part of the Metal Insider Rocks Off Concert Cruise aboard the Star of Palm Beach. This special show will take place on Friday October 19th and is an official CMJ Show.

Support on the bill will come from This or the Apocalypse, For Sleeping or Jumping and Eminence.

Tickets for the show are on sale now and are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. The cruise departs from Pier 40, located at West Houston St. at West Side Highway.

PRONG frontman Tommy Victor commented on the bands homecoming:

“PRONG has not played NYC since the release of our latest album Carved Into Stone Actually, we haven’t done a gig anywhere in the five boroughs in a very long time. So I’m happy to announce our return home as we board the Rocks Off Cruise on Oct 19th for the Metal Insider Party at CMJ. The boat rolls out of New York Harbor and from what I hear it’ll be circling the Statue of Liberty while we’re on stage. What a great way to celebrate our return!”

PRONG is out on the road in support of their latest release Carved into Stone, which is quintessentially PRONG. It stretches into the band’s earliest and dirtiest foundations on which the band was founded on to the present as a staple of today’s post-metal and rock scenes.

Carved Into Stone can be ordered from Amazon HERE. Be sure to check out the deluxe iTunes edition which features an exclusive bonus track which is a cover of the Rammstein track “Feuer Frei”.

THIS OR THE APOCALYPSE RELEASE NEW ALBUM TEASER
“DEAD YEARS” AVAILABLE 9/25/12

(NEW YORK, NY) – Lancaster’s finest, THIS OR THE APOCALYPSE, have released a second album teaser in anticipation of their new record, “Dead Years,” due out next month.

Click HERE or the image below to view.

This or the Apocolypse’s new ablum will be released on September 25, 2012. Front man Ricky Armellino states:

“‘Dead Years’ is full of some of the most painfully honest material we’ve ever written.”

This will be the band’s first release since “Haunt What’s Left,” produced by Josh Wilbur and Lamb Of God’s own Chris Adler in 2010.

Produced by Kevin Lankford and engineered by Andreas Magnusson, this is some of the band’s most aggressive material to date. Armellino continues:

“The album features both some of the saddest, most melodic songs we’ve ever played and it also holds some of the angriest.”
