“We all have experienced and been in a moment of excruciating emotional pain and ‘Empty Chamber’ was written during one of those moments. The song has an upbeat tempo and happy melodic vibe but the lyrics are depressing and filled with anxiety. Sometimes everything in life can be going great but you still struggle with emotional pain and confusion. I feel ‘Empty Chamber’ embodies that emotion.” – John Strickland

LullLogo-02

For more than a decade, alt rockers Lullwater have been blazing their way to the top of the industry thanks to their gritty, Southern-infused sound and straight-up, raw performances.

Formed in 2007 in Athens, GA, the foursome was born from the indelible mark that the godfathers of grunge left on music. The convergence of this inspiration, mixed with a healthy helping of swagger, defines this critically acclaimed alternative rock band.

The group released its debut, self-titled album in 2012 to solid reviews and were immediately invited to join some of the biggest tours that same year, as well as had the single “Albatross” featured on Sirius XM Octane Radio. Since that time, Lullwater has spent the majority of their career on the road sharing the stage with such A-list acts as Candlebox, Theory of a Deadman, Flyleaf, Passafire, Amaranthe, Butcher Babies, and more. The band released their critically acclaimed sophomore album, Revival, in 2015, followed by a live EP, The Seattle Sessions, in 2017.

Voodoo, their latest effort and arguably their best work to date, was recorded at the end of 2017 in New Orleans at Marigny Studios by Swedish producer and engineer Jakob Herrmann, co-produced/engineered by Justin Davis, and mixed by Jakob Herrmann at top floor studios, is scheduled for a Winter 2018 release; this record promises an even bigger, more explosive sound that will shake you to your core.

World-renowned STOLEN BABIES drummer Gil Sharone is pleased to announce that he recently joined the Vater endorsement family! Gil’s fresh perspective on drumming, dedication, and his love for the craft have allowed him to play with many artists he came up listening to like Fishbone, Dillinger Escape Plan, OTEP, Dave Wakeling, Maynard James Keenan, Tom Morello, HR, and Eek-A-Mouse to name a few. Vater took notice to this and once he tried out the sticks, Gil knew it was a match made in drumming heaven.

“I’ve been with Pro Mark for over 10 years and decided to look for something new due to various reasons,” states Gil Sharone. “I had an open door at all of the other stick companies and knew that Vater was the right choice.  I’m looking forward to starting a new chapter in my career with Vater!

Gil Sharone was also recently featured in the brand new DW Drums snare ad campaign. See below for the new ad!
On top of being featured in all the top drumming magazines worldwide and being voted #2 up-and-coming drummer in Modern Drummer Magazine Reader’s Poll in 2008, Sharone continued to play world class drumming events like the Modern Drummer Festival 2010 and the 2012 Tam Tam Drum Fest in Spain, as well as other clinics worldwide.image002 (1)

AVATAR DEBUT MUSIC VIDEO FOR “SMELLS LIKE A FREAKSHOW”

Swedish visual masterminds AVATAR have unveiled their latest video for “Smells Like A Freakshow” today exclusively at LOUDWIRE.COM…

Frontman Johannes Eckerström adds his own words about the new video:

“The video illustrates inner conflict in an explicit manner, using abuse of unjust power in different contexts. The lyrical themes of downfall, embracing of decadence and failed attempts to escape are pointed out by the fact that ultimately the bad guys win.”

The band kicks off their very first U.S. tour supporting LACUNA COIL and SEVENDUST with an intimate performance at The Studio at Webster Hall in New York City on Wednesday January 30th.

to play for everyone!” says Jerry Cantrell, Alice In Chains.

“Head is back!!,” says Korn’s Jonathan Davis. “Rock On The Range is going to start it all off!! Get ready,
we are going to hit it hard!!”

“Bush are thrilled to be playing Rock On The Range with such great bands,” says Bush’s Gavin Rosdale.
“We look forward to seeing you all out there.”

“This massive lineup has scratched our seven-year itch!” says Gary Spivack, co-executive producer of the
event for Right Arm Entertainment. “Getting Soundgarden for their first Ohio play in two decades and
having seminal acts Alice In Chains, Korn, Volbeat and Papa Roach return along with bands new to ROTR that

incredible, up-and-coming comedians to riff on the rock experience will be a great change of pace for the
weekend. The site layout is also changing dramatically in 2013 to create better event flow, to add more
interactive fan activity to the festival, and to allow even more people to experience the higher caliber of talent
on the second stage this year.”

Dead Sara Release New Tour Video Full of Fan Submitted Photos

Dead Sara has released a new tour video featuring personal fan submitted photos alongside live footage of the band for the song “We Are What You Say” (Fan Edition), from their self-titled debut album. The video, directed by Jared Sagal of Rockerazzi Films, also includes never-before-seen live concert and behind-the-scenes footage of the band, all taken from recent tours with Chevelle, The Used, The Vans Warped Tour, and the Sunset Strip Music Festival. The video is now premiering exclusively online at Alternative Press: http://www.altpress.com/aptv/video/video_premiere_dead_sara_we_are_what_we_say. Dead Sara is currently on the road with The Offspring and Neon Trees in the U.S., before heading overseas to Europe this fall for a U.K. tour with Twin Atlantic and the Vans Warped Tour show in London. Additional tour dates will be announced.

Revolver says “the buzz around LA-based hard-rock outfit Dead Sara is reaching fever pitch” and indeed it is. The group has been earning accolades from radio and critics alike, while winning over fans coast-to-coast. Rolling Stone recalled the band “blending blues, hard rock and punk into a whirling energy,” with The Village Voice going on to illustrate them as a “sort of twisted-blues hard rock that feels like the product of people really enjoying playing the shit out of their instruments,” adding “If there’s any justice, especially in this year when the word ‘rock’ signifies a genre that is in flux enough so as to be anyone’s game, Dead Sara will stake their claim as a new kind of standard-bearer.”

Dead Sara’s 11-track self-titled debut, produced by Noah Shain (Atreyu, As Tall As Lions, Sonny Moore/Skrillex), is driven by the dynamic duo of two talented young women, singer Emily Armstrong and guitarist Siouxsie Medley. The band is rounded out by bassist Chris Null and drummer Sean Friday, creating an electrifying four-piece rock band whose supercharged music is propelled by Medley’s exhilarating, monster guitar riffs and Armstrong’s powerful, wailing vocals. Praised for their blazing impassioned rock and catchy guitar melodies, Dead Sara embody everything you want from a young, hungry, unpredictable and enigmatic rock band.
