DEADLOCK Premiere New Video at RevolverMag.com

DEADLOCK recently released their new album The Arsonist via Napalm Records.  The album can be purchased on Amazon and iTunes.  Today the band has partnered up with RevolverMag.com the online home of Revolver Magazine for an exclusive premiere of their video for the song “The Great Pretender”.  Check out the video HERE.

“What are we now? We are the change!” is an essential line in DEADLOCK‘s “The Final Storm” and can be regarded as the red thread when it comes to their sixth album, The Arsonist After a line-up change, a new chapter opens in the book of  DEADLOCK. A chapter that couldn’t be more electrifying and thrilling. Every part, every vocal line and each and every played note had to live up to the expectations of all band members. The result – The Arsonist is a testament to this work ethic. Be it the driving opener “The Great Pretender”, the brutal Death Metal song “Darkness Divine”, or the ballad “Hurt” that puts the angelic voice of Sabine Scherer in the spotlight. The mix of Melodic Death Metal and elements from the world of Pop has reached a new level of maturity and depth of details on The Arsonist The band did not shy away from orchestral sounds, choir elements or synth fragments. Despite the new influences, the band built a musical bridge to its previous releases, which is due to the main songwriter Sebastian Reichl. Reichl made use of different sounds in order to create a score to a world of feelings. He creates an atmosphere that is oppressive, melancholic and unsettling, but because of the pop elements, the sound turns out to be fresh, catchy and dynamic. The combination of the sound and the vocal work of John Gahlert and Sabine Scherer makes the album the most versatile and sophisticated longplayer in the band’s history. The Arsonist is both, catchy and complex. Thus, giving the album a timeless quality.

Besides the ingenious songwriting, the band also went full speed ahead in terms of the production. Besides Sebastian Reichl, Benny Richter (e.g. CALIBAN, MOONSPELL) took his place behind the mixing console. The pounding fundament of the drums was laid down at the Chemical Burn Studios with Alexander Dietz (HEAVEN SHALL BURN) at the helm. Eike Fresse (e.g. CALLEJON, OOMPH!, GAMMA RAY) mixed the new songs at the Hammer Studios in Hamburg. Finishing and mastering touches were provided by Olman Viper (CALIBAN, EMIL BULLS, ZSK) at the Hertzwerk Studios.

The Arsonist is once more a testament to the band’s grasp of pure heaviness and catchy melodies. DEADLOCK‘s “The Final Storm” says that “A new aeon rises. We are here to stay. May my voice be the storm…we are the storm”. After listening to the new album, one can wholeheartedly agree with this statement. / Dr. Peter Kupfer

ZED Premiere Lyric Video at RevolverMag.com

zed

“These guys have managed to strike a fine balance between blues rock and stoner rock…”

-Cosmos Gaming-

Great Rock and Roll doesn’t just happen. It’s made. With sweat, swagger and alcohol. AndZED makes rock the way it should be made. Loud guitars, a shot of whiskey and a middle finger.  ZED‘s latest album Desperation Blues was released on May 21st and the critical acclaim continues to come in.

Today ZED has partenered up with RevolverMag.com the online home of Revolver Magazine, for an exclusive premiere of the band’s new lyric video.  The video is for the song “More”.  Check it out HERE.

Desperation Blues is streaming in its entirety HERE.

The band recently completed work on a video for the first single from the album entitled “Please”.  Check it out on their YouTube Channel HERE.

Desperation Bluesis available for order from ZED’s store HERE.  The album can also be ordered on Amazon and iTunes.

San Francisco Bay Area’s ZED takes it cues from the greats like Zeppelin, Sabbath and AC/DC, but combines them with their contemporary musical influences such as Clutch, Rage Against the Machine and Queens of the Stone Age, creating a mixture that is new, yet familiar. With this explosive sound they are bringing back the guts, the grit and the balls to Rock. And they won’t stop until they succeed. At least in getting drunk and having a good time.

In June of 2012 ZED entered Sonic Room Studios with Tim Narducci engineering and producing their sophomore album Desperation Blues. With the studio expertise that he gained from working with greats like Bob Rock (Metallica, The Cult) and Howard Benson (P.O.D., My Chemical Romance), Narducci was able to harness the raw energy and essence of ZEDin a way that had not been done before. And what they came out with was 46 minutes of giant, hook filled riffing, crafted into 10 songs that make up one beast of an album.

WILSON Announce Debut Album

WILSON Announce Debut Album Full Blast Fuckery

New Video Available on RevolverMag.com

Album out July 9th on Easy Killer Records

WILSON is not an “internet band”.  They’re five dudes in a van with beards and big dicks- working harder than your parents.  But instead of giving their all as stockbrokers or auto-mechanics or assistant branch managers their job is to destroy your party.  Forget debates about the music industry, about download analytics, mp3 singles, and the “charts”. Screw genres. All that has nothing to do with music.  But when that WILSON van cruises into your town that shit is REAL. Real MUSIC. Real LIFE. Real LOUD. Real SWEATY. And real fucking FUN.

Today the band gives you a taste of the Fuckery. WILSON have announced that they will be releasing their debut album Full Blast Fuckery July 9th via Easy Killer Records.  In conjunction with this announcement, the band has teamed up with RevolverMag.com the online home of Revolver Magazine to premiere the first video from Full Blast Fuckery.  Check out the video for “Viking Pussies Fuck Off” HERE.

After a successful tour with GWAR and Warbeast, Wilson will be hitting the road supporting Newsted this May.

WILSON is a band that has toured relentlessly since since 2010, through big cities and little podunks.  A band that records its albums the ol’ fashioned way: with instruments.  And analog gear.  Fifth and sixth and twentieth takes.  A band that brings that last Friday night on Earth mentality equally to huge crowds and audiences of two solitary dudes.  Like P. Diddy once said “Can’t stop.  Won’t stop.” And they’ll never quit on you.  And that’s real talk. That’s #FUCKERY. And that’s WILSON.

Check out WILSON frontman Chad Nicefield’s “Dark Thrones” Blog on RevolverMag.com.

The band also provided Metal Injection with a video tour blog from the “Fate or Chaos” tour with GWAR.  Check out the first installment HERE and second installment HERE.

Australia’s FEED HER TO THE SHARKS Releases New Lyric Video for ‘Memory of You’

Up-and-coming Australian metalcore band FEED HER TO THE SHARKS has been blazing the underground trail for some time— attracting fans across the globe with their pristine technical sound and engaging live performances. Originally discovered in 2012 by Darkest Hour guitarist Mike Schleibaum whilst already having a Fredrik Nordstrom-produced full-length album tacked to their name, this gifted five-piece is ready to take things above and beyond in 2013 with a new tour coming this spring and new album, Savage Seas, set for release this summer.

Today, FEED HER TO THE SHARKS and Revolver Magazine are teaming up to reveal a brand new lyric video for their track ‘Memory of You’, cut from the band’s upcoming album Savage Seas. The lyric video is available for viewing now via Revolvermag.com and also through Metal Hammer UK at Metalhammer.co.uk. Fans can purchase ‘Memory of You’ now via iTunes at this link.

FEED HER TO THE SHARKS recently announced that they’ll be supporting technical metal titans Born of Osiris on a tour of Australia in May. Additional support will come from Upon a Burning Body and A Breach of Silence. With this tour under their belts, FEED HER TO THE SHARKS will add to an already stellar list of international acts that they’ve had the opportunity to perform with, such as Suicide SilenceAugust Burns RedAsking Alexandria and more. Dates for the upcoming tour are still under wraps, but stay alert for updates coming soon.

“‘Memory of you’ is a perfect example of the type of metal we embody. A storm is coming, so prepare yourself for blood-pumping adrenaline, bone crushing brutality and beautiful melody,” states FEED HER TO THE SHARKS vocalist Andrew Van der Zalm. “Join the feeding frenzy and sink your teeth into this track today! Australia, get set for the discovery tour with Born of Osiris and Upon a Burning Body. It’s gonna be awesome.”

“We recently played with FHTTS on a last minute show addition to our Human Romance Australian tour. Immediately, a few of the guys and I were impressed with FHTTS’ raw power and total precision,” addsDarkest Hour guitarist and co-manager Mike Schleibaum. “It was like watching a band who had been around for years destroy the stage. The sound, the vibe, it was all so pure and perfect. After the show we were pleased to find out they were some of the nicest down to earth dudes around. I knew I had to share their record with our long time manager and good friend Mike Mowery. The rest is history writing itself. When I was young, Australia seemed so far away, an imaginary place that only AC/DC lived.  Nowadays it all seems so close. I’m happy to help break these dudes out of Australia, onto the world stage and hopefully to a town near you soon.”

FEED HER TO THE SHARKS have been working at a frenzied pace since forming in Melbourne, Victoria in February, 2009. The band recorded their debut album, The Beauty Of Falling, in their own studio in 2011. They worked in collaboration with world renowned metal producers Fredrik Nordstrom and Henrik Udd who handled the mixing of the debut album. The result: an independent release that has the sonic punch of a full-scale studio production, sure to dent stereos and see heads banging across the world. The Beauty Of Falling is an album that fearlessly expands on a beloved genre while at the same time providing a familiar entry point for heavy music fans.

FEED HER TO THE SHARKS is made of up several talented musicians, including vocalist and pianist Andrew Vanderzalm and guitarist/synth player Kim Choo, who are both classically trained pianists. On top of that, Choo produces music out of his home studio and has a degree in Audio Engineering. Full-time drummer Jan Benkwitz is recognized internationally for being an extremely talented player— you can view his YouTube channel with over 1.6 million views here: www.youtube.com/Blastphemer.

The band is currently endorsed by Schecter guitars and their Facebook fan count is about to surpass 20,000— all based on the band organically without label support.

UNSAID FATE Debut New Single on RevolverMag.com

When people join a band, there are never any guarantees that anyone will appreciate it, let alone like or respect its output. When they choose it as their career, the odds of finding success and reaching the hearts and minds of today’s youth is all the more distant. In short, choosing a career as a musician makes your future very uncertain. Having the drive to push through the obstacles and knowing you will find success is what four Cleveland musicians know to be their UNSAID FATE.

UNSAID FATE is preparing for the release of their debut EP Never Turning Back. After months holed up with producer Don DeBiase (Modern Day Escape, In Alcatraz 1962, Vanilla Ice) and being mixed by Steve “Skinny” Felton (Mushroomhead), the band feel they have found their apex on Never Turning Back. Today the band is pleased to debut the first single from Never Turning Back entitled “Our Addiction”. Check out an exclusive premiere courtesy of Revolver Magazine HERE. The video for the song will debut next week and was directed by Don Tyler, who is known for his work with Pink, Maroon 5 and Flyleaf.

Formed from the ashes of the highly acclaimed regional band JACKIE, Ohio’s UNSAID FATE have retooled and refocused their energies to fully capture the attention of an active rock audience that was quickly becoming bored with the cookie cutter sounds that were being created by the most successful bands of the genre. While bands got lazy from the spoils of success, JACKIE’s musical hunger and creativity grew; so much so that they outgrew the confines and stereotypes of the old band name. As UNSAID FATE took shape, their musical creativity and the deeper heaviness of their sound expanded with each passing day.

Led by vocalist Jackie LaPonza, UNSAID FATE reaches out to fans in an effort to let them know that the world hears their screams for a better place to exist and thrive in. “We want people to hear the words and music and feel the stories,” states the singer who was recently named one of the “Hottest Chicks in Metal” by Revolver Magazine. “They need someone to keep telling them to stay true to themselves and not to give up or give in on their dreams no matter what others say. We’ve worked on what we do for such a long time now and we would really love to be doing it full time and doing it worldwide! We want to hit the ground running and never look back.”

While LaPonza is the band’s leader, she is only one piece of the puzzle that completes UNSAID FATE. Guitarist Patrick Ols is a guitarist that combines extraordinary six string skills with an almost Punk attitude in both his playing and his on-stage presentation. He plays masterfully over top of a driving bottom end created by bassist Donovan St. Clair and drummer Mike LaPonza. As a unit, UNSAID FATE are a musical force creating a defined landscape that anxious youth can not only groove with, but can also relate to.

In support of their upcoming release, UNSAID FATE are currently on the road with Losing September. A complete list of dates can be found below.
