Burbank, CA – Today, Warner Bros. Records releases the original motion picture soundtrack to Universal Pictures’ Endless Love. The romantic drama hits theaters nationwide this Friday, Valentine’s Day.

 

The digital-only soundtrack, which can be purchased here, features music from an array of celebrated bands, including the Top 40 hit-in-the-making “Pumpin Blood” by NONONO, as well as The Bird and The Bee featuring Matt Berninger, Echosmith, Franz Ferdinand, Tanlines, Guards, and Tegan and Sara, who perform the track “Don’t Find Another Love,” which was written specifically for the movie. Endless Love stars Alex Pettyfer (Magic Mike) and Gabriella Wilde (The Three Musketeers) in the story of a privileged girl and a charismatic boy whose instant desire sparks a love affair made only more reckless by parents trying to keep them apart. Directed by Shana Feste (Country Strong), the romantic drama co-stars Bruce Greenwood, Joely Richardson, Robert Patrick and Rhys Wakefield. Scott Stuber (Ted) of Bluegrass Films and Pamela Abdy (Identity Thief) are joined by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage (Gossip Girl) of Fake Empire to produce the film from writers Feste and Joshua Safran (Gossip Girl).

NONONO: Twenty One Pilots Tour * SXSW * Pumpin Blood EP Out Now

Swedish indie pop trio NONONO, aka striking lead singer/songwriter Stina Wappling and the production duo Astma & Rocwell, will return to the USA in April for a their first full tour of the states in support of twenty one pilots. A full list of tour dates is below. They are also confirmed for SXSW in March. NONONO are currently putting the finishing touches on their debut album, which is due out later this year. For the time being, fans can enjoy the four song Pumpin Blood EP, of which the title track you’ve surely heard before, even if you haven’t realized it. “Pumpin Blood” is climbing the Top 40 radio charts here in the US, as its on over 70 stations, including SiriusXM Hits1, WRVW Nashville, KBKS Seattle, and more. The song has also been used  in commercials for Samsung, Sparkling Ice and Late Night with Seth Meyer, and featured on shows like Dancing With The Stars, American Idol, Revenge, Cougar Town and Vampire Diaries among others.

 

NONONO has two tracks on the soundtrack to Universal Pictures’ upcoming movie Endless Love, a romantic drama starring Alex Pettyfer (Magic Mike) and Gabriella Wilde (The Three Musketeers) and directed by Shana Feste (Country Strong). The film hits theatres February 14th 2014. “Pumpin Blood” and The Jane Doze Remix of “Pumpin Blood” are both featured on an impressive indie soundtrack, which also features Tegan and Sara, The Bird and The Bee featuring Matt Berninger, Guards, Echosmith, and Tanlines.

 

NONONO played their first official US shows just this past fall, when they took New York City’s CMJ Music Marathon by storm, being championed by everyone from Billboard, who named them one of the “Best of CMJ 2013”, to Grantland, to TIME and even CMJ themselves, who highlighted the band in their “5 International Artists to Watch” feature. Fashion media has been quick to jump all over Stina’s natural beauty and the potential of NONONO. Vogue,ELLE, Glamour and Into The Gloss all profiled Stina, and Refinery 29, Nylon and Harper’s Bazaarpicked NONONO as an Artist To Watch in 2014. Stina is an unlikely, unassuming rock star in the making. She went to school in Brighton to become a psychologist, and then proceeded to work as a nurse in a mental institution. She’s been writing songs all her life, usually for other people though. It wasn’t until recently, when the 24 year old got linked up with Astma & Rocwell, that Stina stepped into the spotlight. Watch Stina and NONONO perform acoustic versions of “Pumpin Blood,” “Like The Wind,” and “Fire Without A Flame” for All Saints and also stopped by Perez Hilton for a session as well.

It’s officially on for Swedish import NONONO in the United States of America. Their catchy as hell single, “Pumpin Blood,” is on fire. The song is spreading across the interwebs and climbing the Alternative radio charts with purpose, becoming omnipresent by way of subliminal infiltration. You either know the song already or you’re not yet aware that you know it.

 

NONONO, aka lead singer Stina Wappling, and the production duo Astma & Rocwell, are set to release their debut EP digitally in the US September 17th, with a full album to follow in early 2014. NONONO will be coming to America for the first time in October, headlining Mercury Lounge in NYC on Tuesday, October 15th (tickets on sale this Friday at noon EST) with Los Angeles and San Francisco dates to be announced in the coming weeks. October 22nd will see NONONO make their network TV debut in the US, they’ll be performing “Pumpin Blood” on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

More About NONONO:  

“Pumpin Blood” scored a massive international TV commercial campaign for Samsung’s Galaxy IV,  as well as a Sparkling Ice campaign that’s now running. The song is shooting up the radio charts thanks to early support from influential stations like KROQ/LA, KYSR/LA, WKQX/Chicago, LIVE105/SF, WHFS/Baltimore, KROX/Austin, Sirius/Alt Nation and Music Choice “Pumpin Blood” represents just one angle of the NONONO sound however. Other songs such as “Down Under,” and “Like The Wind” fluctuate across styles, genres and moods. “Pumpin Blood” is the bait that will allow their other angles to be discovered on their upcoming debut album.

As Stina affirms: “There’s something that ties the sound of the songs together but they’re all a little bit of different. We never wanted to decide upon a genre or what the NONONO sound was. We just always go with what we felt like and what inspired us that day – you go from being happy to being sad to being shallow to being deep, so whatever mood we’ve been in that’s what song will emerge.”

Part of the identity of the band is sourced from the freedom that emerged when they all turned down musical projects that they weren’t comfortable with. But, as Stina explains, that can be applied across other areas of life too: “Most of the time people want to say yes, like, ‘Yes, I want the job’ or ‘Yes, I want to be your girlfriend.’ But it’s a lot harder to say no. It’s really important to live your life for yourself, and what things you want to do and what relationships you want to keep.”

NONONO is a triumph of the positive aspect of negative thinking.

Swedish threesome NONONO, aka lead singer Stina Wappling, and the production duo Astma & Rocwell formed in Stockholm during the spring of 2012, following Stina’s return from Brighton where she had spent three years studying for a degree in psychology – a subject which might have indirectly impacted her songwriting.

The band are currently finishing their debut album, which they describe as “dark and beat-orientated,” for the most part, although the mood will likely improve as the seasons change in Sweden. The aim? “We would really like if someone gets a feeling that they can take from it. We want to make an impact and for people to be touched,” says Michel. “Most importantly, it is going to come from the heart”.
