NOCTUM Streaming New Song on Noisecreep

“Word along the highway to hell is that Satan’s minions are already sporting upside-down cross-shaped boners in salutation of this band of devilish Swedes…”

(Decibel Magazine)

“Where NOCTUM stand up and get counted are the songs. The mood, atmosphere and structures are accented by a guitar tone straight out of Tony Iommi’s unshaven bunghole, and an aquatic-sounding bass that dips and doodles around the darkened chord progressions like a roller coaster ride. All hail the new wave of coherent Satanic rock!”

(Decibel Magazine)

“A metal record with a rare groove”

“A lean, mean piece of heavy rock”

(Metal Sucks)

“The total package of infectious riffing and a tremendous vocal performance…”

(Axis of Metal)

The buzz continues to build as Swedish Metallers NOCTUM are now exactly two weeks away from releasing their sophomore album and Metal Blade Records debut Final Sacrifice October 29th.   Final Sacrifice is available for pre-order at http://www.metalblade.com/noctum.   The album is available as a standard CD as well as in an exclusive bundle package with a limited edition T-Shirt.

As the release draws nearer NOCTUM is streaming another song from Final Sacrifice.  The song entitled “Resurrected in Evil” is available for streaming exclusively on Noisecreep.  Get a first listen to the song HERE.

Bassist Tobias Rosén spoke about “Resurrected in Evil”

“In my opinion “Resurrected in Evil” shows what NOCTUM are all about. It’s a song that really puts all our elements together while describing us as a band and is a perfect example of howNOCTUM sounds in 2013.”

A lyric video featuring live footage captured by Johan Bengtsson for the song “Temple of the Living Dead can be viewed HERE.

The songs “Temple of the Living Dead” and “Liberty in Death” are both streaming HERE.

Final Sacrifice is a fictional horror story where each song communicates a portion of the overall narrative. The “final sacrifice” is like a red thread that ties the songs together and is the concept behind the art. Final Sacrifice is an analog piece of art in both audio and visual aspects. The artwork and track listing have been revealed. The cover art was painted by Timo Ketola (Sunn o))), Arktau Eos) and fits perfectly with the album’s raw, natural sound.
NOCTUM spent the majority of 2012 refining their sound and writing new songs. Their search for original and interesting material led them to a heavier and darker sound. The progression came very naturally for the band and differs from the typical 70’s vibe. The new material successfully evokes a heaviness and emotion one might not expect from a “retro” sounding band.

Final Sacrifice Track Listing:

1. Conflagration

2. Liberty in Death

3. Resurrected in Evil

4. Deadly Connection

5. Void of Emptiness

6. The Revisit

7. A Burning Will

8. Temple of the Living Dead

9. Azoth

Noctum Lineup:
David Indelöf – Guitar/Vocals
Daniel Johansson – Guitar
Tobias Rosén – Bass
Fredrik Jansson – Drums

BLACK WATER RISING Confirm Summer Release for Sophomore Album Debut New Single

BLACK WATER RISING Confirm Summer Release for Sophomore Album

Debut New Single

BLACK WATER RISING is back with the follow up to their critically acclaimed self-titled debut. The yet to be titled sophomore effort due out this July from the New York Hard Rockers represents what many would describe as another honest, barebones, no frills rock album. “The recipe is the same as the first. I didn’t deviate from what I believe BLACK WATER RISING music to be, I didn’t set out to grow or mature says frontman Rob Traynor. He continues, “I feel this new album is not much of a departure from the first, and I believe that’s a good thing. Besides, I don’t think fans would want it any other way. I’m still writing from the same place I was writing from before, I’m still the same guy…for better or for worse. We’re still the same band, with the addition of a killer new guitarist, Dennis Kimak who joined us after the departure of our original guitarist Johnny.”

Today the band has teamed up with Noisecreep to debut the first single from their new album. Get a first listen to “Show No Mercy” HERE. Then be sure to download your copy on iTunes.

BLACK WATER RISING was formed from the ashes of various national touring acts. After releasing two self produced albums nationwide with a band called Dust To Dust, singer songwriter Rob Traynor locked himself away in his Brooklyn, New York recording studio, later emerging with a collection of songs that would become the seeds of BLACK WATER RISING‘s debut album. Traynor was soon joined by former Boiler Roomdrummer Mike Meselsohn, former Stereomud guitarist Johnny Fattoruso and bassist Oddie McLaughlin and they would unleash their self-titled debut album on March 2, 2010. The album would achieve the #1 slot on Amazon.com‘s Hard Rock Chart upon release and the band received heavy airplay on Sirius Satellite Radio’s Octane channel for the singles “Brother Go On” and “No Halos”.  The album reached the #6 slot in the Top 20 airplay chart for the channel.   “Brother Go On” also cracked the top 40 on the Media Base Active Rock Radio Chart.

Invigorated and eager to capitalize on the success of their debut album, the band’s new material promises to be riff heavy and proudly anchored in the foundations of traditional hard rock and metal song writing with hooks and catchy choruses to pull you in. New songs like Show No MercyPissed And DrivenLast Man Standingand Fire It Up combine the bands love of Thin Lizzy and Judas Priest with the sonic stomp of Black Label Society, all while retaining a musical identity of their own.
BLACK WATER RISING is:
Rob Traynor – Vocals, Guitar
Dennis Kimak – Guitar
Mike Meselsohn – Drums
Oddie McLaughlin – Bass

ZED Premiere New Song on Noisecreep

6PAN1T

Desperation Blues Out May 21st via I:AND:I Recordings

Great Rock and Roll doesn’t just happen. It’s made. With sweat, swagger and alcohol. And ZEDmakes rock the way it should be made. Loud guitars, a shot of whiskey and a middle finger.

ZED is gearing up for the release on their sophomore album Desperation Blues May 21st via I:AND:I Recordings. Today the band has partnered with Noisecreep to debut another song from the album. Check out the debut of the song “Skin and Bones” HERE.

The band recently completed work on a video for the first single from the album entitled “Please”. Check it out on their YouTube Channel HERE.

Desperation Blues is available for pre-order HERE.

San Francisco Bay Area’s ZED takes it cues from the greats like Zeppelin, Sabbath and AC/DC, but combines them with their contemporary musical influences such as Clutch, Rage Against the Machine and Queens of the Stone Age, creating a mixture that is new, yet familiar. With this explosive sound they are bringing back the guts, the grit and the balls to Rock. And they won’t stop until they succeed. At least in getting drunk and having a good time.

In June of 2012 ZED entered Sonic Room Studios with Tim Narducci engineering and producing their sophomore album Desperation Blues. With the studio expertise that he gained from working with greats like Bob Rock (Metallica, The Cult) and Howard Benson (P.O.D., My Chemical Romance), Narducci was able to harness the raw energy and essence of ZED in a way that had not been done before. And what they came out with was 46 minutes of giant, hook filled riffing, crafted into 10 songs that make up one beast of an album.

Desperation Blues Tracklisting:

1)      Please

2)      Skin and Bones

3)      Killing Machine

4)      Desperation Blues

5)      Crawl Back to You

6)      More

7)      Rain

8)      The Empty Quarter

9)      Settle the Score

10)  The River

NightShade Music Video for “Betrayal” Premieres at Metal Insider

NightShade is excited to release their first music video from their upcoming album “An Endless Vision“. The video for “Betrayal” is now premiering at MetalInsider.net.  While the deathcore group was filming the music video in Spain, a demonstration in Madrid turned ugly when thousands of protestors clashed with riot police. Protesting in response to the announcement of severe austerity measures, police reportedly made 22 arrests while over 32 were injured. As a result, NightShade decided to include shocking footage that shows police using violent force on protestors in the video for “Betrayal.”  This video is SERIOUSLY INTENSE!
NightShade-Betrayal-premiere
“This song ‘Betrayal’ is about how people need to open their eyes and stop being controlled by their governments. People shouldn’t be scared to take control of their own lives and make their own choices,” explains guitarist Bastien Deleule. “It’s ironic that a huge civil protest broke out in Spain while we were there shooting our music video, considering it is effectively what this song is about. Spain has over 50% unemployment and things are dire and people are angry, and we are angry too. We choose to express our anger with our music and we hope everyone loves it as much as we do! Other than being in the middle of some scary riots in Spain, we had a blast filming this video!”
France’s NightShade is set to release its most adventurous album to date on April 30, 2013. The group’s third offering, “An Endless Vision” is set to continue the outfit’s signature one part deathcore and one part Euro metal sound. Recorded at Nalcon Studios and mixed by Jason Suecof (Trivium, Devildriver, Whitechapel), “An Endless Vision” boasts a huge groovy sound but ventures into ‘djentier’ territories without straying from the band’s roots.
Producer extraordinaire Jason Suecof commented on working with NightShade, “I personally enjoyed working on this album. It completely took my face, ripped it apart, rearranged it, and sold it on the black market as food for your kids whilst desecrating my soul for all eternity.”
Originally formed by Bastien Deluele, NightShade picked up a deal with Bullet Tooth for the release of the group’s second album, “Lost In Motion,” recorded, mixed, and mastered by the world renowned Fredrik Nordström (Bring Me The Horizon, At The Gates, Dark Tranquillity). Upon the release of “Lost In Motion” NightShade completed 2 U.S. tours, a European tour, and two appearances at the prestigious Euroblast Festival in Cologne Germany in 2010 and 2012. The song “The Depths Of Memory” is available on the RockBand Network for download now.
With the mastering being handled by Alan Douches (Lacuna Coil, The Ghost Inside), “An Endless Vision” will seek to deliver crushing grooves, epic breakdowns, lush melodies, and infectious electronic soundscapes in a way that sets NightShade apart from the rest. Keep your eyes posted for the release this year!
Interviews and features on NightShade have been posted at NoiseCreep,
Alt Revolt (Page 1 & 2),
MetalUndergroundToledo Press, and the Hartford Advocate.  The band has also had some great success at metal radio with spins and coverage from CILU, KJML, KRUA, KTUH, KUPD, WAQX, WBMT, WEDG, WEOS, WIYY, WMPG, WORT, WSUP, WUPX, WXCI, WXRX, and WZOR.

NightShade c
ombines the speed of traditional metalcore, the heaviness of death metal,
and influences of modern

music to create a unique sound that
should
catapult them onto the tips of everyone’s tongues.” –

“I think people will love this song because of its high energy – it doesn’t stop or take any breaks and is a great taste of how heavy and passionate this album is,” explains vocalist Ryan Kirby. “The track itself describes my struggles in my faith and my frustration with myself. In knowing I am doing wrong and contradicting what I believe, I reach my breaking point. The idea is that through the internal conflict you face with your life choice, there is nothing forcing us into a ‘bitter end’ – we can change our destinies and though we may not be worthy of another chance, it’s always there.”

FIT FOR A KING premiere “Hollow King (Sound of the End)” exclusively via Noisecreep

header (1)

Two weeks ago, metal buzz-band FIT FOR A KING announced a March 12th release date for their anticipated Solid State Records debut, Creation/Destruction, simultaneously unleashing the crushing track “Warpath” and generating an increasing level of excitement. Proving the first track was no fluke, FFAK are pleased to share another new song, album standout “Hollow King (Sound of the End)” exclusively through Noisecreep.

Listen to “Hollow King (Sound of the End)” now at Noisecreep:
http://www.noisecreep.com/2013/02/13/fit-for-a-king-band/

“’Hollow King’ is a very unique track for me, lyrically,” explains vocalist Ryan Kirby. “It’s a story of a person that sees his friend slip into the Devil’s grasp because of the ‘God-free’ view he instilled upon him. The person then decides to go after and save his friend, which he does without faith that God can remedy the situation. During his mission to save his friend, he also falls into the Devil’s clutches. Near the middle of the song, Satan is mocking his lack of faith. The friend in the story ends up actually being himself, hence the lyrics ‘staring face to face and eye to eye with the man who abandoned everything’. This song doesn’t have a happy ending, giving it a dark vibe.”

Recorded with esteemed producer Andreas Magnusson (OH, SLEEPER, HASTE THE DAY, BLACK DAHLIA MURDER), Creation/Destruction is at once the fulfillment of a longtime dream for FIT FOR A KING, and just the first step in what is sure to sure to be an incredible journey for a band with massive potential.

PSYCHOTHERMIA Premiere New Single on Noisecreep

With less than two weeks reaming until the release of their debut album Fall to the Sun, PSYCHOTHERMIA is giving the public the chance to check out the debut single from Fall to the Rising Sun. The San Diego based metallers have teamed up with Noisecreep for an exclusive world premiere of the track “Slash & Burn”.Get a first listen to the song HERE.

No strangers to persistence and long hours in the studio, the guys in PSYCHOTHERMIA know what it means to take matters into their own hands. Fall To The Rising Sun was self-produced and recorded in the band’s home studio (Control Volume Studios) as well as engineered by the band members themselves. With the exception of ‘Anarchy’, which was mixed by the notorious Fred Archambault (producer/engineer, Avenged Sevenfold), all the songs were mixed by guitarist Jon Russo. “I’d wake up after 15 hours in the studio, with my ears hurting, and have to go in and do it again… all while working around my jobs,” says Jon. One cannot question their dedication.

Prior to April, 2012, all four members performed together in a previous group (Canobliss). Together in this group they achieved such accolades as three nominations for San Diego Music Awards; opening performances for legends Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold, Stone Sour, HellYeah, Biohazard, & more; as well as song placements on nearly 10 extreme sports and motorsports DVDs. They have already toured across much of the United States; with a fresh project and new album Fall To The Rising Sun in their hands, PSYCHOTHERMIA is ready to catch the wind. The fire is real…

THERION Premiere New Song on Noisecreep

THERION are currently in the midst of their 25th anniversary tour and will be releasing their new album Les Fleurs du Mal November 27th in North America on End of the Light Records. Today the band has is debuting a track from Les Fleurs du Mal exclusively on Noisecreep. Check out an interview for Christofer Johnsson and get a first listen to the song “Polichinelle” HERE.

The album Les Fleurs du Mal is a part of an art project that Christofer Johnsson has been thinking about for some time:

“The time was never right for it, but in celebration of the band’s 25th anniversary, I thought now will finally be the right time for it,” Christofer Johnsson explains.

There are still many details that are unknown about this mystical art project, and so far only the album title Les Fleurs du Mal can be officially announced. The album title refers to Charles Baudelaire’s (French author and poet 1821 – 1867) famous poem collection “Flowers of Evil” (Les Fleurs du Mal in French) that caused such an upset of emotions in France that the author was brought to court and got fined for “insulting the public” with six of the poems, that remained forbidden in France until 1949 when the ban was finally lifted. The spirit of the project is a tribute to Baudelaire, and is imbued into both music and artwork. The album was recorded at Adulruna studio, located in a separate building next to Johnsson’s decadent “Villa Adulruna” where the band lived together while recording.

Les Fleurs du Mal is available for pre-order on Amazon.

STELLAR CORPSES PREMIERE NEW HALLOWEEN EDITION VIDEO

Santa Cruz punk rockers Stellar Corpses are premiering an all-new Halloween edition video for their debut single “Vampire Kiss,” today at AOL’s Noisecreep! Recently filmed in Hollywood at a raucous house party, by director Jared Sagal (Rockerrazzi Films), check out the band performing the track singer Dusty Sheehan tells Noisecreep “is a tribute to the greatest vampire movie of all time, The Lost Boys, filmed in our hometown of Santa Cruz.” The band also recorded two webisodes full of behind-the-scenes footage and interviews to accompany the video.

Stellar Corpses’ new studio album Dead Stars Drive-In was produced by multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning Joe McGrath (AFI, Morrissey, Green Day, Blink-182, Alkaline Trio). Blending a musical amalgamation of punk, rockabilly, hard rock and melodic rock, thrown in for good measure, Dead Stars Drive-In defies musical expectations. In support of the release, Stellar Corpses have recently been on tour supporting Tiger Army, punk rock legends TSOL, Nekromantix, Voodoo Glow Skulls, and classic horror punk rockers The Misfits. The band recently added a new slate of Southern California live shows, with additional tour dates to be announced.

With musical influences ranging from Elvis, Black Flag, Social Distortion, Stray Cats, and Bad Religion, to Black Sabbath, The Misfits, Danzig, Rancid, Sepultura and Megadeth, it’s no wonder Stellar Corpses chose to work with producer McGrath pouring everything they had into a stellar first album. Dead Stars Drive-In features special guest turns from Hunter Burgan and Jade Puget from the revolutionary goth punk band AFI, and Michale Graves of The Misfits.
Dead Stars Drive-In covers all sorts of subjects beginning with the title track, an ode to the dark side of Hollywood and how some of its brightest stars eventually burned out. “But to this day, their lights shine as bright as ever, and we will go on loving them always,” Sheehan explains.

Stellar Corpses, which literally means “dead stars” in astronomy (Grave’s idea from studying astronomy in college), have become a fixture in the Santa Cruz hard rock music scene over the years. They are by no means an overnight success story. The band met in high school and have been around, playing clubs, building their fan base one-by-one with their dynamic and interactive live shows.

Stellar Corpses is Dusty Sheehan on vocals and lead guitar, Dan Lamothe on upright bass and backing vocals, Emilio Menze on guitar and backing vocals, with Kyle Moore on drums.

DISTRICT 97 Premiere New Video on Noisecreep/In Pittsburgh 10/25

DISTRICT 97 is undoubtedly the most musically adventurous rock band in the world to feature an American Idol Top 10 Female Finalist. The band now returns with their second opus Trouble With Machines. With her fantastic voice, and looks to match, Leslie Hunt has captured the imagination of the male-oriented prog rock scene. Complexity is one of the hallmarks of District 97’s compositions but the album is laced with catchy vocal melodies. The track “The Perfect Young Man” features a guest vocal appearance by KING CRIMSON/ASIA bassist JOHN WETTON. RICH MOUSER who has produced albums for SPOCK’S BEARD and NEAL MORSE mixed the album.

Today Noisecreep is hosting an exclusive premiere of DISTRICT 97’s new video for their song “Open Your Eyes”:

SAINT DIABLO Leak Behind-The-Scenes ‘Watch Me Kill’ Music Video Footage

Fredericksburg, VA’s SAINT DIABLO and AOL’s Noisecreep.com have just leaked exclusive behind-the-scenes footage taken during the video shoot for the band’s upcoming music video for the single ‘Watch Me Kill’, directed by David Brodsky for MYGOODEYE. You can view the footage at this location. The single is cut from the band’s new self-titled album, released with Eclipse Records on July 10th.

“The first single and video off the album is a song called “Watch Me Kill”. I think the song is the driving force of what we are about as a band and what we stand for from our fans point of view. Not taking anything from anyone, pushing through adversity. A take no prisoners mind set,” states guitarist Justin Adams. “The music is driving, and heavy! Working with David Brodsky and his crew on the video was awesome. True professionals! He was really in to what we were trying to say and do for this video. He also had a lot of good ideas about the approach and how to execute the look we wanted.”

Stay tuned for the full-length video coming soon.

SAINT DIABLO was recently selected to open on the ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL Jägermeister Mobile Stage on July 29th in Bristow, VA. SAINT DIABLO is on the road now performing select dates before hitting several U.S. states with Slaves of Dope between July 24th in Rochester, NY and August 14th in Albany, NY.
