GEMINI SYNDROME drummer Brian Steele Medina commented: “We’ve worked long and hard to bring the third chapter of this trilogy to light. Our collective blood, sweat, & tears went into the creation process and we can’t wait to finally unleash this new music.”

A first single from the as-of-yet untitled new album is expected to be released early in 2020 on Another Century Records.

Additionally, the band have just released a new, limited-edition line of merchandise, which is now available online at www.geminisyndrome.com.

Formed in 2010, Gemini Syndrome spent their formative days performing on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood. As their reputation within the L.A. hard rock scene grew, so did their audience. Their 2013 full-length debut, Lux, landed at #3 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Chart and yielded the singles “Pleasure & Pain,” “Basement,” and “Stardust.” The record’s release saw the Los Angeles heavy alternative band tour alongside everybody from Five Finger Death Punch to Sevendust, and perform at festivals such as Rock on the RangeWelcome to Rockville, and more. After coming off the road in late 2014, Gemini Syndrome’s creative core, vocalist Aaron Nordstrom, drummer Brian Steele Medina, and bass player Alessandro “AP” Paveri released their 2016 second full-length, Memento Mori, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart and spawned the hit single “Remember We Die,” which hit #1 on SiriusXM Octane. The band spent the majority of 2016 and 2017 on the road with bands such as In This MomentMotionless In WhiteAvatar, and Starset before taking time away from the road to write and record their 3rd full length album.

WARBY PARKER SUNGLASSES and GHOSTLY INTERNATIONAL Team Up For THE CURTIS…

INTRODUCING GHOSTLY INTERNATIONAL

Since 1999, Ghostly has built an amazing community of artists, designers, musicians, innovators, and uncategorizables. With an ethos of endless invention and a belief in the creative possibilities of collaboration, Ghostly has redefined what it means to be a record label and art company in the 21st century. “We recognized in Ghostly a kindred spirit and an inspiration in all things entrepreneurial,” said Neil Blumenthal, Warby Parker co-founder and co-CEO. “It doesn’t hurt that a hefty portion of Ghostly artists wear sharp glasses.”

To cement the Ghostly-Warby Parker affinity, we put our heads together with Sam Valenti IV, founder of Ghostly, and designed the Curtis, a graphic pair of sunglasses named after Joy Division frontman Ian Curtis.

“Putting on a fresh pair of sunglasses transforms your mood as fundamentally as putting on a song you love,” Sam said. “It’s a natural collaboration.”

Pretty sure you’ll be seeing quite a few of the Pittsburgh Music Magazine staff sporting these at shows and clubs throughout the summer…

ABOUT WARBY PARKER

Warby Parker is a transformative lifestyle brand with a lofty objective: to offer designer eyewear at a revolutionary price, while leading the way for socially-conscious businesses.

ABOUT GHOSTLY

Ghostly and their design shop, theghostlystore.com, have built a “label” of artwork and artists that has grown into a collective of some of North America’s best designers and artists.

The artists will be releasing their first collaborative album on September 11 entitled Love This Giant, to be released worldwide by 4AD under exclusive license from Byrne’s label Todo Mundo. A promotional copy of the album opener “Who” is available online for download.
