ADRENALINE MOB Unveils New ‘Coverta’ Tracking Sessions Series for ‘Barracuda’

ADRENALINE MOB and Loudwire.com are unveiling the second series of Coverta tracking session videos, this time for the track ‘Barracuda’ (originally performed by Heart). The first new tracking video is available for viewing now at this location. More ‘Barracuda’ tracking sessions are coming soon, so stay tuned to Loudwire.com in the coming weeks. Also, make sure to vote for ADRENALINE MOB in this week’s Loudwire cage match – VOTE NOW.

World-renowned ADRENALINE MOB drummer Mike Portnoy comments, “I picked this track. I always thought this was a killer song and would make for a great modern-metal update. I produced a demo for my wife’s old thrash band Meanstreak back in the early 90’s and they covered this but it was never released, so I thought it would be great one for us to Mob-up! There’s very few male singers that could tackle Ann Wilson’s incredible vocal range, but I had a hunch Russell would kill it and sure enough, he did!”

Want more tracking sessions? GuitarWorld.com is currently hosting the tracking session videos for the first single, ‘Romeo Delight’ (originally performed by Van Halen). You can watch those specific videos now at this link.

You can buy Coverta physically at Best Buy and other major music retailers and digitally at Amazon and iTunes now.

ADRENALINE MOB, featuring Russell Allen (Symphony X), Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater), John Moyer (Disturbed) and Mike Orlando (Sonic Stomp), are currently on tour in the U.S. in support of their single ‘Come Undone’, cut from their previously released full-length album, Omerta. The tour runs through April 7th, so there’s still time to come out and catch a show featuring these metal and hard rock veterans!

ADRENALINE MOB and GuitarWorld.com Release First ‘Coverta’ In-Studio Video for ‘Romeo Delight’ (Van Halen Cover)

This is killer…you have to see Portnoy wailing on a classic VH tune.  PMM can’t wait to cover them when they come to Altar Bar Pittsburgh March 14…

GuitarWorld.com has posted an exclusive new video of ADRENALINE MOB recording their cover of ‘Romeo Delight’ (originally by Van Halen) for their new covers album Coverta, hitting stores on March 12, 2013. ADRENALINE MOB, featuring Russell Allen (Symphony X), Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater), John Moyer (Disturbed) and Mike Orlando (Sonic Stomp), will release a series of these in-depth recording videos via GuitarWorld.com in the coming weeks. Check out the current video of ‘Romeo Delight’ at this location.

ADRENALINE MOB guitarist Mike Orlando states, “Recording ‘Romeo Delight’ was an absolute blast for me. I grew up listening to EVH, and from the moment I heard ‘Eruption,’ I was hooked for life! Tracking the guitars was such a blast, as I plugged in my white-and-black Charvel, my trusty ol’ MXR Phase 90 and went right into my cranked-up Marshall JCM800, entering that EVH zone and giving my all to pay tribute to one of the greatest rock guitarists ever! We had a great time with Mike Portnoy’s idea to insert a medley of kick-ass VH parts in the mid-section while going into a great treat before we head back to the final chorus!”

Coverta is an eight-track EP featuring cover versions of some of the band’s favorite songs. Long-time fans of Mike Portnoy are aware of the multiple cover CDs he has released with Dream Theater and with Neal Morse. Coverta is the first CD of covers recorded by ADRENALINE MOB.

Picture Me Broken’s Brooklyn Could Be The Second Coming of Benatar

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

One look at Brooklyn Allman and you just know she knows how to rock with the best of them. Fronting the band Picture Me Broken is a 19 year old woman that is already a seasoned professional in the music business. Hailing from the Bay Area (Redwood City), CA Brooklyn (lead vocals) and bassist Austin Dunn have been plugging away since 2005 when they were 12. Their lineup has changed and morphed over the years, but now that they have Shawn Foist (drummer), Dante Phoenix (guitar), and Jimmy Strimpel (guitar) they seem to have found a magical make-up that will propel them to bigger things.
PMB is not just some chick fronted band though. Brooklyn may have the voice of a Pat Benatar meets Nancy Wilson, but she also has the stage presence and ability to growl out vocals with the confidence of a seasoned veteran. She is quick to let you know that PMB is a rock band and not some girl fronted gimmick band.
Having to hit the stage in Pittsburgh as soon as they arrived, due to some overwhelming traffic caused by an accident on the freeway, the band did not let it affect them in any way and showed professional poise as they won the crowds affection. Not long after their set, drummer Shawn Foist was able to introduce me to Brooklyn who took the time to give Pittsburgh Music Magazine an interview that really shows her positive attitude. Listen to the following interview link to learn more about where PMB is off to next, projects in the pipeline, Brooklyn’s past and why she loves AFI: Brooklyn of Picture Me Broken
