Chinese Noise Punk Carsick Cars to Release New Album, Embark on US Tour + Free MP3

Track “15 Minutes Older” FREE for Fans

“A nervy, consonant euphoria” – New York Times
“The trio careens from spiky punk-pop to all-out noise bliss and back” – Village Voice

Carsick Cars is one of the most established indie rock bands in China. Their much anticipated third studio album 3, produced by Sonic Boom of Spacemen 3 and Hamish Kilgour of The Clean, in New York, is set to be released on February 28th, on Maybe Mars. For a FREE MP3 of the track “15 Minutes Older” to download click HERE.

Formed in 2005, almost from the very beginning Carsick Cars has been at the center of the musical explosion in Beijing and has received a mixture of snarling opprobrium, especially from some of their elders, and near-fanatic enthusiasm from their rapidly growing fan base among culturally sophisticated but alienated young Chinese around the country.

Their 20-city tour of China in March 2009 with label-mates The Gar has already passed into Chinese musical history as one of the key events in the development of the Chinese independent music scene, and their shows indicate how for many in the young audience Carsick Cars “belongs” to them as much as the young Bob Dylan “belonged” to his fans in the mid 1960s. Besides being one of the most admired and written-about bands in China, they have also received a huge amount of attention from musicians and critics in Europe and North America, having played in numerous festivals, most notably All Tomorrow’s Parties in the UK and the Primavera Sound in Barcelona, and toured with Sonic Youth in Europe.

Their second studio album was the long-awaited You Can Listen, You Can Talk a follow up of two years of explosive and almost joyful anger evoked in their first album, Panda Noise. Produced by P.K.14 frontman Yang Haisong, their first CD threw out into the Chinese indie scene some of its most iconic songs, including “Zhongnanhai”, widely seen as the anthem of disenfranchised Chinese youth, and “Rock and Roll Hero”, a standard for younger bands.

Art Rap Goddess Bunny Michael Debuts “Gasolina” Video + EP Release Date

Transports Daddy Yankee to the gate of a demonic mirror universe where you’re not sure if you want to party or run for your life.

I am fond of the deeply odd, occasionally obscene art rap of [Bunny Michael].
The New Yorker

What do you get when you send a rapping Bjork and Mother Nature on a spiritual journey through space, time, another dimension? Bunny Michael. Named the original “art rapper” by Sasha Frere Jones in The New YorkerBunny Michael provides the soundtrack to your personal creative evolution.

Bunny’s oozing of inspiration is clear. Her debut video for “Gasolina”, which premiered on Bullett Magazine, was birthed from a collective of artists with a goal of empowering women.  Directed and animated by Meriem Bennani, produced by VICE duo Purple Milk, and styled by “Other Travel” collaborator (along with Bennani) Hayden Dunham,  Bunny says of the experience, “Making this video was an out of body experience. My friends and I traveled to another realm, danced, laughed and sweat there. Meriem was our guide.“ Fans can receive the mp3 of “Gasolina” for free on Bunny’s Facebook page.

Formerly known as Bunny Rabbit, Bunny Michael has spent the past 4 years dedicating herself to the pedagogy of self realization through soundscapes and visualization, becoming an expanding vessel to Universal Creative Consciousness. The result is her first self produced EP, Rainbow Licker, a 4 song initiation that not only moves you in the physical realm but transports to dimensions beyond. Rainbow Licker joins our physical world on March 25th, on Separate Reality Records.

Hollow & Akimbo Reveal MP3 w/ NYLON Guys

“The One Who Has To Carry You Home” MP3

“…10 tracks of awesome!” – NYLON Guys

…a buoyant and impeccably layered sound full of vibrant little melodies, chirpy electronics and choppy beats” – WNYC

“Newcomers Hollow & Akimbo have been treated to a typically synth-soaked remix of their “Singularity” single by Ghostly affiliate Com Truise.” – XLR8R

Hollow & Akimbo construct a peculiar- yet enthralling- brand of cerebral electronic pop.Today, the trio releases their self-titled debut LP via Quite Scientific Records and share album track “The One Who Has to Carry You Home” as a FREE MP3!

Having previously unveiled LP cut “Singularity,” which features deliciously fuzzy guitars & earnest, yearning vocals, The One Who Has to Carry You Home” further showcases the trio’s skill at creating pop songs with a unique electronic-meets-rock edge. The “The One Who Has to Carry You Home” MP3 premiered with NYLON Guys, and is available  HERE.

Written, recorded, mixed and mastered entirely by the band, Hollow & Akimbo features gritty textures layered over intricate arrangements. Combined with a special blend of looped rhythms, the group- Jon Visger, Brian Konicek & Mike Higgins- have created a collection that is difficult to categorize.

Recording together at home in basements, bedrooms, attics, and closets,
Hollow & Akimbo have amassed an ever-evolving archive of musical snippets,
song fragments and a fair share of noisy four track experiments.

Video: Mic Audio ft Mixo & John Wize – 30’s (prod by Matcy P)

Mic Audio of the Stereo Boyz releases the first single off his upcoming project “Hometown Advantage”, a collaborative effort with Chicago producer Matcy P.
The song “30’s” features fellow Stereo Boyz member Mixo and John Wize of the Stereo Crew whose voice can be heard on the intro and outro of the song.
Matcy P’s production made this song incredibly smooth which perfectly compliments Mic Audio’s flow and voice.

The full project “Hometown Advantage” will be released Feb 28th to close out Black History Month, under the Stereo Boyz’ slogan #MakingBlackHistoryMonth.

Check out the video below and grab your free copy of “30’s”.

The Stereo Boyz consist of members Mixo (aka Applauze Beetz) and Mic Audio (aka Perfect Hell). Before becoming the super group Stereo Boyz they were a part of the “Rhyme Asylum” (1999 – 2008), a group that claimed a reputation of being one of Detroit’s most hardcore underground rap groups. Performing since a young age, the two MCs have created an undeniable stage presence, they master the ceremony, and in countless freestyle competitions the Stereo Boyz have earned the respect of every emcee they came across. Completing their second tour across Europe in early 2013, with shows in Germany, France, Austria and Switzerland the Stereo Boyz have been internationally approved.

With Mixo coming from Detroit and Mic Audio from Chicago they have created a perfect fusion of the Midwest. Combining strong lyrics with catchy hooks, their sound merges the best of both worlds: clever rhymes and beats that any hip hop fan will nod their head or move their feet to.The mixtape “Sound Check Vol 1” was their first group effort and has earned praises from rap fans worldwide, as well as Mic Audios following solo project “Biblical Fearical”. The Stereo Boyz dropped their EP “Live from the Ghettoblaster” in January of 2011 and after releases like the “Guten Tag!” mixtape, beat tapes and several street releases, their highly anticipated debut album “Carz, Clubz & Theatrez” was released August 13th 2013. Constantly in the studio recording and working on new beats and rhymes the group makes it impossible to be slept on.

The Stereo Boyz represent the past, present, & future of Detroit Hip-Hop. Their combination of Detroit Motown and Chicago’s House & Electro sound has created a midwest masterpiece. Now it’s time to share that masterpiece with the world.

Chalk And Numbers Premiere 60s-Inspired Misfits Cover on The Wild Honey Pie | Download “Angelf*ck” Free

“Brave Boy Jump” Featured on Beats Per Minute,
Included on the Official Jim Henson Company
‘Fraggle Rock – Shine On’ Compilation Alongside
Covers from Animal Collective, Thee Oh Sees,
Red Fang, Dandy Warhols, and More.

“A girl group-drenched dollop of wonderfulness.”

“Vibrant pop songs infused with a colorful, swirly, breezy mix of classic 60’s pop sounds reminiscent of the Girl Group era, touches of the Beach Boys, The Zombies,
and the Left Banke.”

“[Chalk And Numbers] pull from a wide array of influences to create their unique sound… modern and timeless simultaneously.”

Chalk And Numbers are a Brooklyn-based duo comprised of vocalist Sable Yong and multi-instrumentalist Andrew Pierce. Together Yong and Pierce craft catchy modern pop songs influenced by the 60’s musical cannon and analog recording technology, and today they’ve gifted us with a 60s-inspired cover of Misfits’ “Angelf*ck”, available for free download from The Wild Honey Pie — “With front woman Sable Young’s lush, flowing vocals and Andrew Pierce’s robust analog instrumentation… the band doesn’t get caught up in the Misfits’ fast-paced punk style, rather keeping their own pace and spinning their own originality and surf-rock style into the blindingly reckless punk rock original.”

Chalk and Numbers are currently working on their debut full length release as they prepare to attend SXSW 2014. Their latest EP, Parade, was released in March 2013 to positive reviews from Rolling Stone and The Guardian, who described the duo as a “a girl group-drenched dollop of wonderfulness”. Music from previous Chalk and Numbers releases has been featured on major network television shows such as Nashville,Awkward, and The Inbetweeners, and in 2012 the band contributed a song to the full length feature film “For A Good Time Call…”.

Late last year, Beats Per Minute premiered Chalk and Numbers’ cover of “Brave Boy Jump” — a Fraggle Rock song the band was asked to record for a special compilation being released by the official Jim Henson company. Other artists contributing covers include Animal Collective, Thee Oh Sees, Red Fang, City Lights, Sleepy Sun, and many more.Fraggle Rock – Shine On is currently looking at an early 2014 limited edition vinyl release.

Little Racer is a four-piece from Brooklyn consisting of Elliot Michaud (vocals, guitar), Ish Nazmi (bass), Wade Michael (guitar), and Dave Tedeschi (Drums). Shortly after forming in 2010, their eponymous single Little Racer found it’s away across the ocean to the BBC and London imprint Young and Lost Club, who subsequently released the 7″ single  The Town/Split for the Coast in late 2011.  After a short visit to London to support the single, they returned to New York to write and record a follow up EP.  With influences ranging from New Order to Cat Stevens, their ringing guitars and choruses will most definitely take you away from it all, even if only for 24 minutes.

KYNG posts free download of “Burn The Serum”

Kyng’s new album Burn The Serum comes out April 15 on Razor and Tie and if you go to now and give them your email they will send you the title track for free.  It sort of sounds like a mix of classic Black Sabbath meets Pepper Keenan’s Corrosion of Conformity…in other words killer!

KYNG the southern California hard rock trio, originated in January of 2008 in Los Angeles. Singer/songwriter Eddie Veliz bassist, Tony Castaneda and drummer Pepe Clarke Magana, after years of working off and on with each other on various projects, decided to propagate the idea of a band that would closer fulfill their musical desires. Within months of sessioning the three were sold on the chemistry and shortly after that went into the studio to record their debut album. The sound they realized was exactly what they had sought after, a unique and universally appealing combination of heavy and captivating concepts, channeling influences from Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin to the Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone Age. “We wanted a band that could stand alongside anything in the scene, have the ability to crossover seamlessly and still bridge who we are.” KYNG’s versatile approach of a sweet devastation bleeds from an artistic drive toward a momentum described as “California Heavy”. Their evolution will undoubtedly blaze a trail that redefines what is expected and defines the giants they will become. The Los Angeles based trio, hailing from LA and parts of Mexico, is as unique in spirit as their sound. Reminiscent at times of the metal and hard rock of the late 1970’s in style and musical collection, with a presentation that is totally heavy, classic and modern-day all at once, they are sure to refresh the Active Rock and Metal landscapes of today and tomorrow. As drummer Pepe Clarke Magaña puts it, “I think we’re doing stuff, or a combination of stuff that has been done before, in a way it’s never been done before.” Their sound on Trampled Sun easily provokes the question, “Is that really just 3 dudes?” The pipes on Eddie Veliz reminiscent of Cornell is his early days, the thunder brought by Pepe Clarke Magaña on the drums and the rolling rhythms brought by bassist Tony Castañeda have KYNG meant for great things.

Montreal’s MIRE (prog rock/metal) Announce Release of Inward/Outward; Offer Free Download

Rising out of Montreal, QC’s vibrant music scene, progressive rock / metal band MIRE are proud to announce the official release of their debut album Inward/Outward on March 18th to follow up their 2010 self titled EP.

Two years in the making, Inward/Outward is a 10 track reflection of ideas flying every which way around the recording studio, ranging from cognitive science to a military stint in Afghanistan by guitarist Dave Massicotte.

“We created this with our guts and have dared to explore a less common style of metal where the music is less obvious and sometimes requires the individual to have more than one listen before being able to grasp and really appreciate every musical element,” says guitarist Massicotte of the album. “From big chunky guitar to light piano melody, every song will take you on a different journey and set of emotions.”

The band has released the first music video ‘Limitless Pt. 2’ in support of the album, which can be viewed at the following link:

mire - "limitless(pt2)" [official hd]

FREE Download – Bandcamp stream:

“Limitless Pt. 2 is about waking up from your daily grind to acknowledge the mysticism of your existence. The potential of what mankind is capable of, starts in the hands of its individual subjects – it starts with you. As the title implies, Limitless is an expression of how far you should push your ambitions in all directions to fulfill your own ideal based on your individual experience.’ says vocalist JP LaChapelle. “MIRE celebrates diversity, because slaving to fit the mold serves another. Enough of us have been sacrificed for a semblance of freedom, and to perfect it takes mad balls. Courage to confront fear every single morning, day and night, live on the edge of your seat at all times and lean forward – goad life to ‘come at you bro’. Developing your conscience allows you to stretch out the fiber of the NOW and analyse it. Establish objectives; try 10 times in different ways until you succeed. OWN YOUR DESTINY. That’s the passion we felt when we created Limitless together.”

LIVINGSTON presents Artificially Intelligent Folks Songs of Canada Vol. 1

Featuring work produced by the sentient database LIVINGSTONArtificially Intelligent Folk Songs of Canada, Vol. 1 is the culmination of years of research in both Canadian folklore and computer science. What if we had a digital machine that could access the entirety of Canadian folk music and generate new yet hyper-authentic compositions from the source data? Thanks to this exciting collaboration between Canadian song collector Dr. Henry Adam Svec (The CFL SessionsFolk Songs of Canada Now) and Czech programmer Mirek Plíhal (Všechny Milí Lidé), there is no longer any need to wonder.
An intelligent archive is already an achievement. Yet, LIVINGSTON only produces transcriptions of words and melodies, and so our engineers also needed to put together a band. Fronted by Svec himself and featuring Misha Bower (Bruce Peninsula), Marshall Bureau (Octoberman, The Pinecones), J.J. Ipsen (Hayden, Jim Guthrie), Andrew Penner (Sunparlour Players), and more, these human musicians have breathed life into LIVINGSTON’s brilliantly cold calculations; from rough hollers and stomps to smooth-country croons, from the sparse sounds of the field to the sparkle of Andy Magoffin’s House of Miracles Studio, Artificially Intelligent Folk Songs of Canada, Vol. 1 documents the limits and possibilities of Canadian folksong—a record as wide and as varied as our land and/or the internet.
Download the music for free (or for a small contribution) via, where you can also access tour dates and the FAQ, and stay tuned for Vol. 2 (sung by Olenka Krakus) and Vol. 3 (sung by Mathias Kom).

Boys Noize Shares Jimmy Edgar Remix from Out Of The Black – The Remixes via Rolling Stone

(Free HERE)

(Free HERE)

On February 3rd 2014, BOYS NOIZE (Alexander Ridha) will release Out Of The Black – The Remixes. The album includes unreleased remixes from Audion (Matthew Dear), Oliver, Jimmy EdgarHousemeister and MMM in addition to BOYS NOIZE DJ-edits. Yesterday, he revealed the first Jimmy Edgar remix via Rolling Stone HERE (free to share HERE). “Jimmy Edgar is one of my favorite producers right now,” Ridha tells Rolling Stone. “On his remix he took the funk essence of the original and flipped it to a darker but club-friendlier banger. So killer!”. Earlier, Billboard Magazine shared the exclusive teaser video HERE. The album also features the Blood Diamonds remix of “Got It”, the Snoop Dogg collaboration first performed live at Ultra Music Festival (view live concert footage HERE). In January, Boys Noize will release the official “Got It” music video featuring Snoop Dogg dancing to Boys Noize’s signature raw vibe and sound.

“Here are my favorite released & unreleased remixes of my Out Of The Black album incl. Chemical Brothers, Justice, Chromeo, Oliver, Jimmy Edgar, Audion (Mathew Dear), Blood Diamonds + 2 DJ-edits of mine.” – Alex Ridha“My aim was to take the rise and fall of the original song, but engross it within a completely different system of layers and groove. It’s as if the song did I’ts thing at one club, grabbed I’ts coat and went to another club across town to take on a new life.” – Matthew Dear / Audion

“When I received the remix request, I knew what I wanted to do immediately – to bring the ‘clowns’ from dark to light, from rap to techno and ready for the dance floor circus!” – Housemeister

“This remix was really fun to work on, so much that I ended up doing two.. one that Alex used for his live show and is now coming out and the other for the single, really happy to be part of this. I wanted the remix to sound like a power tool cutting through, and coincidentally thats what the vinyl looked like.” – Jimmy Edgar

In the past year, Boys Noize has toured the US, Europe, Asia, Australia and South Africa with his signature SKULL, and performed headline shows at ULTRA, Bonnaroo, HARD Summer and HARD Day Of The Dead. In addition to releasing the GO HARD EP in June, Boys Noize teamed up with Skrillex this year to form the new group Dog Blood and lit up Coachella, Lollapalooza, Electric Zoo and HARD Summer with an electrifying live show. Entertainment Weekly described the Dog Blood debut at Coachella as “the world’s most joyous Satanic ritual. It was mystifying but fascinating—the Sahara Tent became its own congregation complete with everything but the swinging incense.” In September 2013 Dog Blood released the Middle Finger Part II EP (accessible HERE).

The remix album will be released on Boysnoize Records (BNR), a label Alexander Ridha founded 2005 in order to allow himself to retain full artistic freedom while releasing his own music under the name Boys Noize and other monikers. BNR became a home for multidirectional quality electronic music. The Berlin-based anarchist collective are celebrating their 100th deafeningly successful release incl. albums from high-ranked artists Spank Rock, Siriusmo, Housemeister, Strip Steve and SCNTS, and EPs from Djedjotronic, Boody & Le1f, Peaches and UZ. – and of course BOYS NOIZE‘s debut Oi Oi Oi (2007),POWER (2009) and Out of The Black (2012). Alex has also released his highly acclaimedFABRICLIVE 72 (stream HERE) and BNR’s Boysnoize presents Dance Mania (streamHERE.)

Free Mixtape: Katrell Antonio Platt – The Restoration (THE K.A.P TAPE)

The Katrell Antonio Platt Tape (K.A.P. Tape) – The Restoration: A short, simple, & sweet collection of tracks from Katrell Platt. This is what he always wanted to do (before all the hype) – put out a professionally recorded project with his family. Contributions and performances by Cory Purvis, Allen Ferguson (All3n F.), Ted Etheridge (Music Box Studio), and Katrina Platt bring this long awaited dream to reality. The album carries a dreamy ambient sound with lots of tracks that oscillate between jazz and R&B beats. That’s not to say it’s totally slow or lackluster; on the contrary the songs in the middle of the album are soulful, pack a real punch and have solid energy. Great lounging and honest music, nothing less.

About Katrell Antonio Platt:

Ordinarily the man behind the scenes, overseeing the operations and productions of several up and coming artist, (Cory Purvis, Valdrin Lamont, Boss Blacc to mention a few) as an executive producer / manager. Katrell Antonio Platt, A.K.A. Katrell The Phenomenal & KP The Phenomenal, the eldest son of an Alumni of the NC A&T University Marching Band and band director, was born in Mount Vernon, New York; but as an infant was relocated to, and raised in Mullins, South Carolina. Surrounded by encouraging family and picking up on his musical genes, this is where his concrete work ethic was instilled and the “adapt to overcome” foundation began. KP The Phenomenal is a very laid back individual who speaks for happily underestimated and deep thinkers of the world, who choose to see positively in any event that may occur in life, and are determined to remain painstakingly in motion. Music comes as a therapeutic second nature. Katrell represents the current era of hip hop. Due to the digital age, geographic location has become increasingly less significant. All that matters, now, is good music, which KP The Phenomenal brings with his unique interpretation of hip hop music. “Just trying to live, not trying to hurt nobody,” is his life motto.

Free Mixtape: Without Question – #Bedspread

Chicago rapper Without Question lets fans inside his forever warped mind, and delivers via his debut mixtape #Bedspread. Songs bred from social injustice, self destruction, racism, and hip hop itself expose listeners to rhythmic flows that attack ears with brutal honesty, and will gain the respect of any hip hop connoisseur.

Several music videos off this project will be released in the near future and Without Question’s full length project is scheduled to drop in the fall of 2014, so stay tuned.

For now, stream and grab your free copy of “#Bedspread” below.

About Without Question:

Since introduced to the world of hip hop at age 14, Chicago rapper Without Question has felt destined to write and perform. This realization came to him in the form of De La Soul’s debut album 3 Feet High and Rising. Years passed in which he became obsessed with rappers from hip hop’s golden age such as A Tribe Called Quest, Eric B & Rakim, and Gangstarr. Through these icons that came before him, WQ developed a passion for story telling and social commentary through song.

Without Question has been writing rhymes for the last 11 years, often writing during semester breaks from college, and long into the night after 12 hour work days. A harsh critic of his own work, he chose to dedicate himself to the craft of rhyme and song writing before making his debut release in 2013. With his debut mixtape #Bedspread, WQ introduces himself to Chicago, and the hiphop world at large. WQ borrows from life’s ills and pleasures to create songs with purpose that open the eyes and ears of listeners. His rhymes cover a wide variety of topics: from hip hop itself, to racism, love, murder, and addiction.

WQ lets fans inside his forever warped mind, and delivers via his debut mixtape #Bedspread. Songs bred from his experiences with social injustice, racism, and self destruction expose listeners to truths that maintain a sprawling reach across society. His addicting delivery of relatable rhymes tiptoe the lines of political correctness while brimming with the essence of truth that created hiphop’s beloved. His precise delivery and focused subject matter set himself apart from a genre flooded with commercialism, wannabes and one trick ponies. Rhythmic flows attack ears with brutal honesty, and will gain the respect of any hip hop connoisseur . The next time someone asks if you like HipHop, make sure to respond “Without Question”.

Maximo Park ‘Too Much Information’ LP Out On Feb. 3rd 2014

Click Here To Watch Video For “Leave This Island”

The beginning of 2014 marks a flurry of activity from Maxïmo Park. Following news of their forthcoming album ‘Too Much Information’ on February 3rd, an accompanying full UK tour and the recently-aired ‘Brain Cells’ track, the band have confirmed the release of the single ‘Leave This Island’ on January 27th, 2014.

The track is taken from a remarkable collection of songs that pulse with life and intent, and reveal a band that can still startle and provoke without having lost any of their restless energy. The single itself surges into view with a drumbeat and a ripple of synths framing Paul Smith’s vocal before culminating in a sweep of uplifting emotion: a band at the top of their game.

The film short accompanying the music uses the song as a soundtrack. The band have worked with video artist Matt Stokes to produce a short film featuring a real life ‘urban hermit’ living in the outer reaches of East London. The man lives in his detached reality, surrounded by domestic clutter, his actions depicting a blissful life less ordinary – a final, poignant game of chess outlines his isolated existence. Weird and uncompromising, this is no ordinary promo video.

Recorded in Sunderland with the band’s keyboardist Lukas Wooller and Field Music’s Brewis brothers – David and Peter, at the helm, ‘Leave This Island’ will be available on 12” vinyl and digitally, complete with exclusive B-side ‘A Vague Implication’, a remix of ‘Leave This Island’ courtesy of Mogwai and a mix of ‘Brain Cells’ from the hand of Dave Okumu. Available from all reputable outlets through Daylighting Records.

Ice Cold Sophist – Death By Design | Free Mp3

About the Song:

This new cut produced by budding New Jersey producer Clams Casino features dynamic lyricism by upstart Detroit emcee Ice Cold Sophist.
Cold Sophist takes advantage of this dark and melodic production to ponder the conflict between a culture that seems willing to die for designer labels and a much broader system that seems designed to lead us to cultural, spiritual and sometimes physical death.

This song will be featured on the emcee’s forthcoming project Cubicle Rap Dream. Ice Cold Sophist’s current mixtape BD1013 can be downloaded now at

Born and bred in Detroit, Michigan, USA. Ice Cold Sophist (shortened as ‘iCS’) comes from the generation of kids born in the 80’s and raised in the 90’s; the crop old enough to remember hip-hop’s infamous golden years, yet baring witness to the rise of Cash Money Records and the break out of classic hip-hop albums such as 50 Cent’s Get Rich or Die Trying. Penning his first rhyme at 12 years old, iCS’s brand of lyricism is rooted in the gritty upbringing of his environment, yet offers a poetic form that challenges the listener to reflect on the wordplay. With a passionate delivery sewn over down-tempo production the music seems to still have an upbeat feel. If that sounds like a contradiction, though, that’s understandable, because Ice Cold Sophist is all about breaking from the norms while also embracing the idiosyncrasies of what it means to be human. This is characterized through a sonic package that seems to draw inspiration from a variety of musical genres, including hip-hop, R&B, electro, synth, and alternative. Currently unsigned, ICS co-founded the production company Cold Capital Funhouse in 2011 in order to release his music independently.

THE INTERSPHERE Announce New Album

Offer Title Track as FREE DOWNLOAD

Relations In The Unseen will be released on March 7th in G.A.S., March 10th in UK/Europe and March 18th in N. America

Almost two years after the surprising German chart success of

Hold On, Liberty!, THE INTERSPHERE return with a brand new studio album.  And instead of relying on formulas or formats, the band has relied completely on their hands and hearts.  That being said, THE INTERSPHERE are pushing the boundaries of rock music towards new horizons with a pace and precision seldom found in German bands in the last few years.  Under the production acumen of Singer/Guitarist Christoph Hessler and co-producer/mixer Moritz Enders (whose credits include German indie powerhouses Casper, Kraftclub and Madsen), this fourth release in THE INTERSPHERE discography was recorded together with Wolfgang Manns at Toolhouse Studios.

Relations In The Unseen is not a concept album, but there is definitely a purveying train of thought overall.  We all communicate, not only directly, but also indirectly through gestures, body language, thoughts and connections that are unconscious at first,” says Christoph Hessler.  “Lyrically, the album concentrates on these unconscious things that influence our feelings, thoughts and reactions.  Every day we’re offered countless examples of this – invisible, unknown – over distances, times and dimensions.”

With the March 18th Relations In The UnseenTHE INTERSPHERE have succeeded at a return to self – and to the really important things in music.

The previous singles “Angels Assemble” and “Bad Decisions” have been given enthusiastic reviews from diverse markets such as Tokyo, Japan and Paris, France. The Lost Angels have been championed by Rap Review writer Adam Bernard, as well as Amazon bestselling author, Byron Crawford.

Jimmy Valentime explained how The EP and The LP should be looked at as siblings instead of a new deluxe version. Jimmy Valentime explains “I spent four weeks reconfigure the album. I remastered the tracks and I used different takes and created different intros and outros, it’s a new experience. One closer to my original vision of the group, the full length lets you get to know each member of the group a little better.”

Carlos Ferragamo talked about the explosive new track “The Fight Song” featuring production from J. Rawls and a sample from Street Fighter II. “Fight Song is my second favorite track that I have done with The Lost Angels. I love the real moody atmosphere of the record as well as the tempo. The record does not seem to slow down. Each MC uses a different flow, this keeps the person hearing the music awake, full attention” Urban Miracle Said “I’m glad that a new group of fans can sit back and enjoy these songs me and the others have worked hard on.”

The project will be available for a limited time until January 6th (Three Kings Day) as a present to all the supporters of The Lost Angels movement…
