“The album seethes with virtriol, visceral shredding and thunderous grooves and it yields not a dull moment across its 29 minutes. 9/10” – Outburn

“Matt Harvey and his merry maniacs know exactly what they’re doing, and have spent 20-odd years perfecting their poisonous formula. The riffs still bludgeon, the snare still snaps, and the dual vocal assault still growls and yelps with the best of them. The wailing solos and brilliant flashes of melodic death metal perfection are a welcome addition, as is their maturing approach to songwriting.” — Pitchfork

“This is death metal the way it should be, but hardly is anymore: complex but still compact, well-played without being wanky, brutal without going to ridiculous extremes, and listenable, if not inviting, in spite of its inherent ghastliness. Necrocracy kills, plain and simple.” – Metal Insider

“…as solid a record as EXHUMED have ever created. Full of as much soul as it has guts, Necrocracy is simultaneously cool, true, and different in the ways that matter. Death lives. 4/5″ – MetalSucks

EXHUMED have accomplished what they set out to do here, namely give the world a thoughtful, well-crafted death metal album in a mid-90s vein, where melodic leads had begun to creep in but the genre hadn’t gone full Maiden yet.” – Metal Injection

“If we were going to do something daft like compare phases of EXHUMED‘s career with any other band, then Necrocracy is their South Of Heaven. They’ve slowed down where it counts whilst retaining their bloody, jagged edge and still know when to up the BPMs for maximum effect, whilst every area of the writing is stronger and they’ve even learned a few new tricks to crank up the tension at key points…. the heaviest point of their career to date. 5/6″ – Thrash Hits

“Necrocracy is very much an intelligent, calculated incision into your brain tissue, cutting just delicately enough for them to juxtapose the surgeon’s work by trampling over the rest of your broken body. I’m sure they’ll get elected into office when Necrocracy drops on the sixth of August. 4/5” – Sputnik Music

EXHUMED: European Takeover

Following a maniacally successful run of US live assaults alongside Suffocation last month, West Coast road goliaths EXHUMED will take their hymns of repugnance overseas on an epic long storm through Europe. The journey deploys today in Bristol, UK and will soil nearly three dozen cities! No one is safe.

 600796_510507245651903_1647827886_n

Says EXHUMED throat Matt Harvey, “We’re psyched to be back in the olde world for the Summer, exploring every available nook and cranny of Europe and subsequently filling them with empty beer cans, barf, and a hellish racket. We’re here to spread the word about our upcoming record that’s coming out in August, play some killer underground festivals, and enjoy some more flavorful beer for a change. It’s also killer to finally be in Europe with our ever-present staff physician, Dr. Philthy, which will allow us to do our full stage show in Europe for the first time, so it should be a good time for all in attendance. We’re here for quite a while, so we may even accidentally acquire a little class and culture. But probably not. See you all in the front!”

If you were asleep at the wheel, EXHUMED recently offered up a brand new song of sickness in the form of “The Beginning After the End,” taken from the band’s recently completed recording sessions. The track originally appeared on the May 2013 Decibel Magazine flexi series and is currently available on the Patlapse Tribute Compilation, an audio collection honoring the late Pat Egan, Relapse’s director of sales for the past ten years. Stream the track at THIS LOCATION.

Commented Harvey: “‘The Beginning After The End’ is something we did during the latest recording sessions, so it will give folks some idea of the sound and vibe of the new record. Hopefully this track will inspire some curiosity and headbanging, as well as increase the sales of Natural Ice beer and home pregnancy tests!”

EXHUMED’s follow-up to 2011’s All Guts, No Glory full-length is set for release via Relapse Records later this Summer. The offering was recorded at Arcane Digital Recording in Chandler, Arizona with Ryan Butler (Misery Index, Landmine Marathon, Phobia). All drums were tracked at Trench Studios in Corona, California with John Haddad (Hirax, Abysmal Dawn, Intronaut). Further release details to be announced in the coming weeks.

** = NAPALM DEATH, MUNICIPAL WASTE only
*** = NAPALM DEATH, EXHUMED only

On this co-headlining trek, NAPALM DEATH will be selling tour-exclusive t-shirts designed by artist Sean Taggart (CRUMBSUCKERS, AGNOSTIC FRONT). In regards to these special tees, bassist Shane Embury comments: “As everyone should know, we grew up on a steady diet of the musically extreme, be it death/thrash metal or hardcore punk! Two album covers stood out to us back in the day more than any others as being both satirical and serious at the same time–those being CRUMBSUCKERS’ ‘A Life of Dreams’ and AGNOSTIC FRONT’s ‘Cause for Alarm.’ To me, those album covers capture my youth and enthusiasm for what has now become our lives: playing the music we love all around the world. So with this tour coming up with MUNICIPAL WASTE in the US, we thought to ourselves, ‘Why not get in touch with Sean Taggart—the man behind those covers and all of the awesome flyers from CBGB’s back in the day—and ask if he would do an exclusive shirt, just for us?!'”

Sean agreed to make the shirts for NAPALM DEATH since, as he says, “they’re the heaviest motherfuckers ever!”

To get your shirt, be sure to visit the merch table at one of NAPALM DEATH’s upcoming shows. These tees won’t be available online, so this will be your only chance to have this exclusive, wearable piece of art!

NAPALM DEATH will be touring in support of their critically acclaimed new album, Utilitarian, which was released this past February. Read on for a few reviews of this new NAPALM classic:

INTRONAUT Enters Studio to Begin Working on New Album

INTRONAUT, the notorious post-metal prog act hailing from Los Angeles, has entered the studio to begin working on their fourth full length album. Drums will be recorded by producer John Haddad [Exhumed, Phobia] at Trench Studios, while Derek Donley [Bereft] will be handling recording duties for all other elements. Andrew Schneider [Unsane, Cave In] will be mixing the album and David D’Andrea will be working with the band again on artwork and layout.

Vocalist and guitarist Sacha Dunable comments: “After a year of intense, full-time writing mode, we are elated to begin recording our fourth full length this week. It’s a little early to have perspective on how it compares to our past records, but it should be a banger. Expect a wildly technical, emotionally charged, organic sounding record.”

INTRONAUT recently posted a video of a rehearsal, where they’re practicing a new song. The footage can be seen here:

The new album is tentatively scheduled for a Spring 2013 release. INTRONAUT’s last studio album, Valley Of Smoke, was met with vast critical acclaim and the band toured extensively in support of the album. In addition to landing a slot as direct support for TOOL, INTRONAUT toured with Animals As Leads, Cynic, The Ocean, Helmet and more.
