ROBOTS AND MONSTERS: New Jersey Hardcore/Metal Act Premieres “Signing Off” From New EP Via New Noise Magazine

New Noise Magazine is now streaming the new single from New Jersey-based ROBOTS AND MONSTERS and their impending Nothing To Fear Nothing To Fight EP.
“Signing Off” is the closing track to the new seven-song record which follows a concept about battling your own mind, and as the band informs us of the track, “By the end of his journey, our anti-hero takes full ownership of his thoughts. In ‘Signing Off,’ we find him embracing the dread, the sadness. He yearns for peace, to ‘leave it all behind.’ Whether that means a physical end or a symbolic end to this internal suffering is up to the listener to decide.”
Hear ROBOTS AND MONSTERS’ new track “Signing Off” only through New Noise Magazine RIGHT HERE.
Also stream the EP-opening “King Of The World” HERE.
With its roots tracing to bands including Mucky Pup, The Bloodhound Gang, and more, ROBOTS AND MONSTERS owns a sound that deftly combines the commanding crunch of metal with the groove, punch, and emotion of hardcore and post-hardcore, a trait which finds the band comfortably sharing bills populated with any type of aggressive music. Their upcoming Nothing To Fear Nothing To Fight EP follows a concept about battling your own mind, the theme backed by high-energy metal and dosed with old-school hardcore. The seven-song storyline was recorded at Portrait Recording Studios with engineer John Ferrara, and mastered by Chris Badami, and features art by bassist Bill Bergmann.
ROBOTS AND MONSTERS will independently release the Nothing To Fear Nothing To Fight EP on CD and digital formats September 2nd; preorders are available via the band HERE.
ROBOTS AND MONSTERS continues to book shows through the Summer months in preparation of the new EP, including a show in New London, Connecticut on August 6th, a show in Brooklyn supporting All Out War on August 13th, and more, with more one-off shows and widespread tour dates to be added.

A Skylit Drive “Rises” to the occasion with their new album.

A Skylit Drive, post hardcore band from California, has certainly risen above all of their albums with their newly released album, “Rise”. After releasing four albums and a DVD many fans wondered what the next album would hold in store, and trust me when I say no one is disappointed.

“Rise” is undoubtedly A Skylit Drives best work. Everything from the albums feel to the lyrics themselves is all that a fan of A Skylit Drive would, or even could, want. They kick the album off right with an electrifying first song “Save me Tragedy” and believe me when I tell you the album only goes up from there, using the perfect blend of clean and unclean vocals, A Skylit Drive powers through the album, making sure that everyone who listens to it won’t soon forget their name. Some other gems on the album are the title track “Rise”, the second track “Unbreakable”, and the albums slower ballad “Just Stay”. Vocalist Michael “Jag” Jagmin goes above and beyond on this album, keeping his signature way of singing while still throwing out subtle changes in the best kind of way, while screamer and bassist Brian White shows how far he’s come as well. It’s remarkable how the album is undoubtedly “A Skylit Drive” while still being so fresh and new. After being a fan of A Skylit drive since the release of their EP, She Watched the Sky, it’s almost amazing to see the progress and success, but there is no doubt in the minds of fans that A Skylit Drive deserves whatever fame they can get.  This album is a must have for fans of Alesana, Pierce the Veil, and Secrets & Whisper. Make sure to see A Skylit Drive on the “Rise Up Tour” coming to Peabodys in Cleveland, Ohio, September 30th; with supporting bands For All Those Sleeping, Wolves at the Gate, I the Mighty, and Privs. I know that I for one can’t wait to see how A Skylit Drive tops this one.

You can stream the album here, and be sure to pick it up when it drops in stores September 24th.

PICTURE ME BROKEN to Release Mannequins EP December 18th

Redwood City, California’s PICTURE ME BROKEN will be releasing their new EP entitled Mannequins December 18th on Standby Records. The EP which was produced and recorded by David Bendeth (Breaking Benjamin) features the single “Torture” which is available for streaming courtesy of Revolver Magazine HERE.

PICTURE ME BROKEN is without question one of the most versatile rock acts working today. Led by Brooklyn Layla Allman, it hasn’t taken PICTURE ME BROKEN long to convince fans worldwide that they are a breed of old school soul meets modern day turmoil to create a modern sound that will appeal to all that experience it. With Allman’s father being the musical legend Gregg Allman, it would have been easy for this act to simply let his stigma dictate their career path and allow them somewhat immediate success. But Brooklyn and PICTURE ME BROKEN had different ideas; ideas of doing their work themselves, cutting their own niche out in a very tough active rock market, and slugging it out day by day on the road. They have proven themselves to be musically superior to any act they’ve toured with to date by showing not only hard work, but a willingness to connect with their audience…one fan at a time if necessary.

With Allman out in front of PICTURE ME BROKEN, this is a band that commands attention from even the first glance. Brooklyn Allman is clearly a beautiful woman, as is evidenced by her 2012 nomination in Revolver Magazine’s “Hottest Chicks In Metal”. That however doesn’t begin to portray the incredible talent that she has as a singer, a songwriter and a performer. Allman’s voice showcases everything you could ever want from a vocalist; be it soft alluring pain on songs like “Beautiful Disease” or a much more guttural rage that she lets loose on songs like “Holy Drug”.

Mannequins will be followed up in early 2013 with PICTURE ME BROKEN’s debut full length release for Standby Records.
