The Mountain Oasis Electronic Music Summit is a 3-day music festival staged in the heart of downtown Asheville, NC. April 30, 2013 – Asheville, NC – AC Entertainment is proud to announce the initial line up for the 2013 Mountain Oasis Electronic Music Summit, slated for the weekend of October 25 – 27 in beautiful downtownAsheville, NCNine Inch NailsBassnectar, and Pretty Lights will headline the three-day weekend, which also will feature a performance by Neutral Milk Hotel, who have not played live since 1998. Additionally, Neutral Milk Hotel’s Jeff Mangum is curating the night of music surrounding the band’s performance, including special guests Daniel Johnston and Half Japanese.

 

Other artists confirmed for this year’s initial Mountain Oasis 2013 line up: the avant-rock Animal Collective,Trent Reznor‘s new project How To Destroy Angels, electronic rock legend Gary Numan, Montreal-based post-rock visionaries Godspeed You! Black Emperor, producer/rapper and “trip hop” pioneer Tricky, the powerful collaboration between Zola Jesus and JG Thirwell which debuted last spring at the Guggenheim Museum, electro-pop diva Jessie Ware, legendary electro-producer The Bug, and electronica pioneers Silver Apples along with a vital sampling of who’s who of the new wave in electronica including DisclosureRustie,ChromaticsRobert DeLongJacques Greene, and Bondax.

 

Additional acts will be announced in the coming weeks, with some 50 – 60 artists slated to perform in October.

The KahBang Festival Announces Full 2012 Lineup

The KahBang Festival 2012 is proud to present its 4th annual summer music festival lineup, featuring Bassnectar, Deftones, Wale, Penguin Prison, Paper Diamond, Reptar, Astronautalis, and dozens more. The festival will be held August 9th-12th 2012 in Bangor, Maine along the Waterfront and in venues across the city. In total, over 50 bands will be performing in and around the KahBang festival grounds. The festival’s campsite will feature entertainment through the duration of the event. Tickets are and camping passes are on sale now at www.kahbang.com and at all Ticketmaster locations.

The KahBang Festival takes across the city of Bangor, Maine for 4 days and brings together a wide variety of genres and styles in music, art, and film. This year features performances by of hip-hop, indie rock, pop, and alternative acts along with headliners Bassnectar, Deftones, and Wale. The KahBang Festival is dedicated to the discovery of new music, art, and film, and will be presenting many up-and-coming artists from New England and around the country. Throughout the festival’s span, Bangor bars and venues will host intimate showcases of performers and artists also performing on the Waterfront.

The KahBang Art Festival will be curating events across the city, including 12 galleries, a downtown art walk on Friday the 10th, and installations along the waterfront during the music portions of the fest. Artists from across the country will be presenting work of a variety of visual styles.
