A Skylit Drive “Rises” to the occasion with their new album.

A Skylit Drive, post hardcore band from California, has certainly risen above all of their albums with their newly released album, “Rise”. After releasing four albums and a DVD many fans wondered what the next album would hold in store, and trust me when I say no one is disappointed.

“Rise” is undoubtedly A Skylit Drives best work. Everything from the albums feel to the lyrics themselves is all that a fan of A Skylit Drive would, or even could, want. They kick the album off right with an electrifying first song “Save me Tragedy” and believe me when I tell you the album only goes up from there, using the perfect blend of clean and unclean vocals, A Skylit Drive powers through the album, making sure that everyone who listens to it won’t soon forget their name. Some other gems on the album are the title track “Rise”, the second track “Unbreakable”, and the albums slower ballad “Just Stay”. Vocalist Michael “Jag” Jagmin goes above and beyond on this album, keeping his signature way of singing while still throwing out subtle changes in the best kind of way, while screamer and bassist Brian White shows how far he’s come as well. It’s remarkable how the album is undoubtedly “A Skylit Drive” while still being so fresh and new. After being a fan of A Skylit drive since the release of their EP, She Watched the Sky, it’s almost amazing to see the progress and success, but there is no doubt in the minds of fans that A Skylit Drive deserves whatever fame they can get.  This album is a must have for fans of Alesana, Pierce the Veil, and Secrets & Whisper. Make sure to see A Skylit Drive on the “Rise Up Tour” coming to Peabodys in Cleveland, Ohio, September 30th; with supporting bands For All Those Sleeping, Wolves at the Gate, I the Mighty, and Privs. I know that I for one can’t wait to see how A Skylit Drive tops this one.

You can stream the album here, and be sure to pick it up when it drops in stores September 24th.

WOLVES AT THE GATE announce covers EP, “Back To School”

Four-track EP features interpretations of fan-favorite songs, available September 30th
On tour September-October in support of A SKYLIT DRIVE
Ohio post-hardcore rockersWOLVES AT THE GATE are pleased to announce Back To School, a digital EP of covers set to dropSeptember 30th. The EP sees WATG paying homage and “schooling” a new generation on keystone bands such as THRICE, THURSDAY, BLINDSIDE and THE RECEIVING END OF SIRENS with fresh takes on fan-favorite tracks from those artists.

“We’re really excited about this EP because we hope to give fans an inside look at the types of music and bands that inspired our own creativity with WOLVES AT THE GATE.” explains guitarist/vocalist Steve Cobucci. “The lyrical content of each song has real depth and meaning to us as well. Recording these songs was so much fun because I’ve been playing and singing these songs for about a decade.”

In addition to Back To School, WATG will make sure fans are ready for the fall with an appearance on the Rise Up tour – a monthlong, 28-city run – supporting A SKYLIT DRIVE alongside FOR ALL THOSE SLEEPING, I THE MIGHTY and PVRIS.

Named one of Alternative Press’s “100 Bands To Know” in 2012, WOLVES AT THE GATE have been relentlessly touring in support of their debut full-length, Captors. Released in 2012, Captors sees the band not only living up to but surpassing the huge potential recognized early on by critics and fans alike with explosive songwriting that careens from brooding melodic hard rock to unabashedly heavy hardcore stomps.

2. Understanding In A Car Crash (originally by Thursday)

Serianna hit the studio with producer Josh Schroeder for new album “Define Me”

Serianna are currently in the studio working on their new album “Define Me” with producer Josh Schroeder, who is responsible for new albums from For Today and The Color Morale. The new music is as heavy as ever and incredibly emotional as their fans have come to expect, much like their latest single “Deadweight” released on October 16, 2012. The new album will be wrapped up in February and will be released early Summer 2013.

Guitarist and songwriter Kris Meyer-Ruef checked in from the studio, “The Inheritors record was almost 3 years in the making by the time we had the pleasure of releasing it on Bullet Tooth. It seems only natural that at least 4 years since the birth of that record, Serianna is due for serious growth. Over the past year, we have gone through a major line up change and thought hard about the future of our band. It was pretty apparent to any fan of our band before that we were heavily rooted in metal core, influenced by the bands that could riff the tightest and fastest. We operated like a well oiled machine, tight and uniform. But that was just the problem: we operated like a machine. This new record has given us all the opportunity to pour our hearts into our music in a way that we felt was impossible before. Every one of us has a voice, and you will hear that through every song on this record. We went heavier, groovier, darker and more honest. I know deep down that kids are still looking for something real to fall in love with. We genuinely believe these songs are just that.”

Singer and lyricist Chris Nutting also commented, “I’m so excited for the world to hear this album because every song has a catchy hook that will get stuck in your head. That has always been a huge selling point for me with the music that I listen to, and I feel that it is such an important element to have in song writing. We wanted to write an album that would not only be fun to listen to, but also be a great experience to see live. You can bounce up and down to just about every song on the record. Each one of us played a role in writing lyrics, pulling influence from past experiences. You’ll be able to relate to these lyrics in one way or another. I couldn’t be more proud of how this album came together.”

Serianna recently released their new music video for their new single “Lose Yourself”! The song, originally by Eminem, premiered recently at AltPress.com and is available for download at iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, and everywhere else music is available. The music video was filmed while the guys were on tour by director and close friend Sam Link (Sleeping With Sirens, Decoder). The video is streaming NOW on YouTube.

The debut album “Inheritors” from Serianna (Madison, WI) is available everywhere NOW. Fans can listen to the songs “Fragments” and “Guilty Spark” at their Facebook page, and watch a live music video for “Virtues” directed by Sam Link (Sleeping With Sirens, Decoder) from the recent Motel 6 “Rock Yourself To Sleep” Tour. Their songs “Fragments” and “Inheritors” are also available NOW on Rock Band for Xbox 360. The band has recently been on tour with Alesana, A Skylit Drive, Sleeping With Sirens, Affiance, Memphis May Fire, Attila, and more.

BLESSTHEFALL PREMIERES “40 DAYS” MUSIC VIDEO VIA KERRANG! MAGAZINE

blessthefall has premiered their music video for single “40 Days” today with Kerrang! Magazine.

The new video, which was first revealed by ESPGuitars, offers the band’s take on a zombie film, featuring lead singer Beau Bokan returning from his grave.

“After waiting around for several months for the new season of The Walking Dead to start back up we decided to take matters into our own hands and make our very own zombie flick, with a Blessthefall twist” explains lead singer, Beau Bokan. “As many of our fans know we dont take ourselves too seriously, so we of course added a proper dose of BTF comedic value. The video was a blast to film and we even added a very special female guest zombie at the end. Hope you love this music video as much as we do and remember…you dont always live just once.”
