September Mourning Reveals New Music Video, “Dirty,” Exclusively on ZORA NFT Platform! “Dirty” & Additional Opportunities Available to Download via SEPTEMBER’S MONSTERS NFT!

Cinematic, transmedia rock project SEPTEMBER MOURNING has released the official music video for their newest single, “Dirty,” exclusively on the Zora NFT Platform. The first new song since “Falling Awake,” “Dirty” is available only through front-woman EMILY LAZAR’s stunning new NFT Media Box (NMB) Monsters Rehab collaboration, September’s Monsters.

I chose to drop our new music video for our single, ‘Dirty,’ exclusively on the NFT platform called Zora. This continues the narrative I am telling of NFT’s in the music space. One I have been crafting since March of last year when I became the first female metal/ rock musician to mint and sell an NFT on the blockchain. If you want a one of a kind piece of merch, there will only be one of these. Making it even more special, this music video I wrote and conceptualized is my directorial debut… the ultimate fan experience and merch.” – EMILY LAZAR

September’s Monsters, a generative collab between September Mourning and The Monster Rehab, are 1000 Human / Reaper Hybrid Warriors fighting for the souls of the living against the dark forces of the dead.

In addition to the high-resolution artwork, each Monster NFT grants access to benefits found on the September’s Monsters website and Discord–the first of which is a download of the Graphic Novel published through Image Comics, its soundtrack, new music from the band.

The Story of September’s Monsters:

September Mourning is a human-reaper hybrid, who feels the need to give good human souls a second chance at life, sparking an epic battle between the living and the dead.

Fate, the world’s creator and ruler of Mortem (the land of the dead), has sent it’s reapers after September to stop her. Stitch is one of those reapers. He is also the master of space and time, which he uses to fight her by fragmenting the existing timeline into 6000 separate timelines… each with it’s own unique looking September. September wakes up in each timeline within the Monster Rehab with the monsters looking down at her, angry and hungry for her soul. Fate has taken all of theirs and told them to destroy her.

Will September be able to save the souls of the monsters and repair the timeline before it’s too late?

The Details

SEPTEMBER’S MONSTERS is a collaboration between The Monster Rehab and September Mourning. These worlds combine in a 6000 piece NFT drop. The drop itself is historical as it is not only the first female metal/ rock musician to drop a generative NFT project but it is cross-chain which means it is available half on the Ethereum Network and half on the Binance network. September Monsters is also using their NFT platform to distribute new music from the band. The holders of this NFT will be the only ones to download the new single “Dirty” from the band as it will be exclusively available through this NFT for the time being.

I want to show independent musicians that you don’t have to rely on third parties to be seen, heard or make money in the music space. You can use this new technology to fuel your fanbase and connect directly to them.”

Alongside the music, storyline and art, with each NFT being unique and not duplicated across the different blockchains, is other utility including access to the Monster’s Rehab Metaverse, gaming, IRL merch discounts, future music releases, a download of the September Mourning graphic novel, and more.

LORDS OF ACID Drop Kinky NFT Collection on Cardano Blockchain!

On Wednesday, September 22nd, LORDS OF ACID, the innovative industrial/techno acid-house band founded by electronic composer PRAGA KHAN, became the first significant rock band to drop an NFT on the Cardano Blockchain.

The Children of Acid coin, a cartoon homage to the 1964 sci-fi movie Children of the Damned, depicts angelic school children with a psychedelic gleam in their single-eyes. The mind-expanding kids are part of the band’s fictional universe of kinky songs and characters.

Extrapolating on Andy Warhol’s theories of mass-produced art, the illustration was designed to have thousands of versions (with different backgrounds, hair colors, clothes, etc.) so that each one is a totally unique, one-of-a-kind work of art. The concept of digital rarity is embraced in the NFT world as a reason to buy NFTs in the same way one would collect real-world coins, trading cards, and other collectibles.

Not knowing what to expect, Praga and the team were pleasantly surprised when 1,800 coins were sold in the first 32 hours. Approximately 7 days later they sold out the entire 2,000 edition.

Visual art is not a new interest for Praga Khan, who has a history of using underground comix imagery, rave-flyers and psychedelic pop-art for branding Lords of Acid. Their best-selling LP of 1994, Voodoo-U, featured an orgy of lesbian devil-girls by the lowbrow artist known as Coop. The cover of their 2010 release Deep Chills, an R. Crumb spoof, by illustrator Karl Kotas, introduced a kinky cartoon character for each of the 15 songs as well as a mobile game that was on iTunesGoogle, and Amazon.

In a recent NFT Update podcast, when asked what motivated them to do NFTs, Praga said, “I’ve always been interested in the newest stuff and I was really intrigued by the concept of NFT’s. So I thought of Karl immediately, as we worked together years ago on a CD cover and game and I loved it. So it was a no-brainer.” Karl concurred, “An absolute no-brainer… I was going to contact Praga but I held off. A few days later he contacted me. So I knew we were both on the same page.” Shortly afterwards, Huth Solo contacted them and explained his Cardano NFT startup, Digital Syndicate (digitalsyndicate.io). Cardano is a low-cost alternative to the Etherium blockchain where most NFTs have been minted. As the NFT movement gains momentum many alt-coins are getting in on the action.

The first phase of Lords of Acid NFT project was to establish a visual art presence, but as Praga explains, “It’s only the beginning of a creative
journey. The next step is to add music to the NFT’s, but new versions that haven’t been released before.”

Vampire Girl is the next drop and is scheduled for Wednesday, October 6th, 7AM PST.
