Last night, the stage at Stage AE was transformed into a realm of fantasy and adventure as three remarkable bands—Glyph, Elvenking and Alestorm—unleashed an unforgettable night of folk and pirate metal.
The evening began with Glyph, whose enchanting melodies and ethereal vocals transported the audience to distant lands and mythical realms. With their fusion of folk instrumentation and atmospheric metal, Glyph casted a spell over the crowd, weaving tales of magic and mystery with every note. Tracks like “Honor,Power,Glory” and “When the World Was Young” showcased the band’s knack for creating immersive and captivating music, setting the stage for an epic night of metal exploration.

















Next up was Elvenking, whose unique blend of power metal and folk influences took the audience on a journey through the enchanted forests of their imagination. With their soaring melodies, infectious energy, and virtuosic musicianship, Elvenking captivated the crowd from the very first note. Tracks like “Rapture” and “The Divided Heart” had fans singing along and raising their fists in the air, sweeping them up in the band’s infectious enthusiasm and boundless creativity.











As the night wore on, anticipation reached a fever pitch for the headlining act, Alestorm. Known for their energetic live performances and tongue-in-cheek approach to pirate metal, Alestorm took the stage by storm, launching into a raucous set that had the crowd dancing and singing along with reckless abandon. From the swashbuckling anthem “Drink” to the epic tale of “Keelhauled,” Alestorm delivered hit after hit with unbridled energy and infectious enthusiasm, proving once again why they are the reigning kings of pirate metal.
As the final chords of their encore echoed through the venue, it was clear that this had been a night to remember. Glyph, Elvenking and Alestorm had delivered a triumphant celebration of all things folk and pirate metal, leaving the audience exhilarated and hungry for more. With their electrifying performances and boundless creativity, these three bands proved that the spirit of adventure and exploration is alive and well in the world of metal.
